"I apologise to our supporters who came in numbers. We hope to bounce back with a different approach in the next match against Melaka (on Wednesday)."
Meanwhile Johor Darul Ta'zim (JDT) host Negri Sembilan at the Sultan Ibrahim Stadium tomorrow.
JDT head coach Xisco Munoz said their 3-0 win over Selangor in the Charity Shield had boosted the players' confidence.
Brunei's DPMM are bracing for a more formidable challenge against Selangor at MBPJ Stadium tomorrow after drawing 2-2 with Police in their opener.
DPMM head coach Mcallister James Reynolds said: "It will be a tough game. We need to be ready, recover well, review our performance, and prepare for Selangor."
