Another day, another NFL QB rankings list sparks a ton of debates surrounding Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts.
On Monday, ESPN revealed the results of NFL executives, coaches, and scouts voting on the league's top passers. Hurts cracked the top 10, but he was ranked ninth. Considering the fact that he's the most recent Super Bowl MVP, many see Hurts' placement as too low.
Former NFL lineman Willie Colon wasn't a fan of a handful of quarterbacks being ranked ahead of Hurts.
"For some reason, we forget one stat, and that's winning," Colon said on 'Good Morning Football.' "He's a winner. Bottom line. If you put him against that top five that people like to throw out, Burrow and Lamar, and Allen—he's 8-2 against those big boys. The guy shows up in the big games."

Hurts wrapped up the biggest game of his career back in February with a blowout victory against the Kansas City Chiefs in the Super Bowl. Heading into the matchup, it was widely believed that if the Chiefs could slow down the Eagles' rushing attack, which features a heavy dose of Saquon Barkley, it would be a recipe for winning, as Hurts' ability to win with his passing came into question.
The Chiefs slowed down the run. Jalen Hurts dominated.
"You got to understand what the game plan in that Super Bowl was: Stop Saquon Barkley and you can finish the Eagles. That wasn't the case," Colon added.
"They put that whole game on Jalen Hurts' shoulder and his arm, and he delivered! By the way, not only did he lose to Patrick Mahomes, but he also outplayed him the first time, he beat him the second time, and outplayed him again! I'm sitting here kind of scratching my head, like, why do we keep moving the goalposts when it comes to Jalen Hurts? He has the numbers in the regular season. He has the numbers in the playoffs. He delivers time after time in big moments."

Jalen Hurts #1 of the Philadelphia Eagles throws a pass during the second quarter of an NFL wild-card playoff football game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Raymond James Stadium on January 15, 2024 in Tampa, Florida. MoreColon believes that Hurts should have the edge over several names ahead of him, but he also believes that Hurts has already established himself as the best quarterback in Eagles franchise history, which is a major statement to deliver this early on.
"Bottom line is: he's the best quarterback in Eagles history," Colon said. "I'm a fan of Michael Vick and everybody else, but right now, he's the best quarterback in Eagles history, and he's a top-five quarterback in the NFL."
Hurts' passing numbers haven't reached the top five in franchise history just yet. With 14,667 yards, he ranks sixth all-time, trailing Norm Snead, Carson Wentz, Randall Cunningham, Ron Jaworski, and Donovan McNabb. He trails those five, plus Tommy Thompson, in the touchdown passes category.
The 26-year-old former second-round pick has plenty of time to beat out those who are ahead of him, but he's already got something that none of them accomplished in Philadelphia—that's winning a Super Bowl as a starter and earning the game's MVP award.

Commanders LB Bobby Wagner lands on NFL Top 100 list: Where is he ranked?

This shouldn't come as a surprise, but Washington Commanders linebacker Bobby Wagner is one of the NFL's top 100 players. On Thursday, the NFL revealed the latest players on its countdown of top 100 players, and the future Hall of Famer came in at No. 74. In the NFL's video, Eagles All-Pro right tackle Lane Johnson praised Wagner, specifically his ability to diagnose every play before the snap. Teammates Brian Robinson Jr. and Quan Martin praised Wagner's excellence and his leadership. In his first season with the Commanders in 2024 — and 13th in the NFL — Wagner recorded 132 tackles, including 10 for loss, two sacks, two fumble recoveries, one forced fumble and eight quarterback hits. He was named to the Pro Bowl for the 10th time and second-team All-Pro. Wagner has been a six-time first-team All-Pro and a five-time second-team All-Pro. It was the 13th consecutive season that Wagner recorded 100 tackles or more, tying former Washington great London Fletcher for the longest streak in NFL history. Wagner will play his 14th NFL season in 2025 after the Commanders re-signed him in March. Former Bills pass rusher Von Miller finds a new home

Von Miller will be back in the NFL in 2025 but not with the Buffalo Bills. Miller, 36, has signed with the Washington Commanders. According to reports, it's a one-year deal for the future Hall of Famer: Over the weekend it was reported that three teams were said to be "very interested" in signing Miller for the 2025 season. The two-time Super Bowl champion failed to win a title in Buffalo after spending the past three years with the Bills. However, his tenure was stained by injury. When Miller did get on the field for Buffalo, he appeared in 36 games making 11 starts in a pass-rushing rotational role. Miller notched 14 sacks with the Bills. Miller was originally released in Buffalo earlier this offseason in a salary cap move but at the time it was reported that both the Bills front office and Miller were "open" to a return in the future. That will not be the case as far as next season is concerned. Bills Wire will continue to provide updates throughout the 2025 offseason. Cam Heyward: Aaron Rodgers has bought in

While Aaron Rodgers was taking his time to decide whether or not to sign with the Steelers, longtime Pittsburgh defensive lineman Cam Heyward made some pointed comments about his hesitancy to join the team. Heyward said he wouldn't make any pitch to Rodgers about signing because "either you want to be a Pittsburgh Steeler or you don't" and added that it would be "no skin off my back" if Rodgers opted not to hop aboard. Now that Rodgers has taken the plunge, Heyward says that he has no doubts about whether the veteran is fully invested in what the team is doing. "It just felt like he has bought in, and it worked out for the best," Heyward said this week on 'The Rich Eisen Show'. "I know sometimes we live in a society where we want things now. But patience has a way of paying off. And to now see he's a Pittsburgh Steelers and just him walking through the locker room asking questions how we do things. He's bought in and that's all I can ask for our quarterback. As a teammate, I'm excited to go work with him." Rodgers has signaled that he will be one and done with the Steelers and that means everyone in Pittsburgh will have to be all the way in for the Steelers to have the kind of postseason success that's eluded them since they lost to Rodgers in Super Bowl XLV.
