Malayalam actor
Unni Mukundan
addressed the recent allegations of assault made against him by his former manager, Vipin Kumar, during a press conference held in Kochi.
Admits heated argument, but denies physical violence
According to an ANI report, Mukundan firmly denied any physical violence, clarifying that while a heated argument did take place, it did not escalate to assault.
He admitted to throwing Vipin's sunglasses during the confrontation but insisted there was no physical contact.
The report suggests he said, "As a friend, I only wanted to confront Vipin about why he was speaking negatively about me. During the heated exchange, I did throw his sunglasses, that is true. But there was no physical contact."
Claims Vipin faces other complaints in industry
The 'Garudan' actor also shared that Vipin is facing multiple complaints from other members of the film fraternity, including actresses who have approached film organizations with grievances against him.
The actor disclosed that two weeks prior to the incident, he received a mysterious phone call from a woman who named Vipin and others in connection with troubling allegations. Concerned, Unni reported the matter to senior police officials. He further stated that a prominent actress had contacted him, upset over rumors Vipin had allegedly spread about her, which Unni denied.
Mukundan has filed a counter-complaint with the Kerala Director General of Police (DGP).
He stated, "Two weeks ago, I received a call from an unknown number. The caller named several people, including Vipin. That was when I realised something was wrong."
The controversy began after Vipin Kumar filed a police complaint accusing Unni of physically attacking him in the basement parking area of the actor's apartment complex. Vipin alleged that Unni's frustration over the lukewarm response to his recent film led to the altercation. However, Unni explained that Vipin was never officially his manager but had handled PR for some of his films.

Rumours are rife that the 57-year-old star is set to become a father again, as a video of Sshura Khan has gone viral, with fans claiming her baby bump is visible. In the video, Sshura is seen stepping out of an eyewear store in Mumbai. Wearing a loose-fitting outfit, she carefully descended the stairs while paparazzi captured the moment.
