Eumir Marcial on win vs Joseph: ‘Let's celebrate this victory together!'
Marcial won against Joseph via a third-round technical knockout to improve his record to 6-0 with four knockouts.
On Sunday, the Filipino boxer took to social media his message to those who supported him.
'Let's celebrate this victory together,' Marcial wrote in his social media post.
'First and foremost, I want to thank our Almighty God for the strength He gave me throughout this entire journey leading up to the fight, and for the protection He extended—not only to me but to all my fellow boxers who shared the ring on the same card.'
'I would also like to express my deepest gratitude to everyone who showed their love and support. To my family, especially those from Zamboanga thank you for being my foundation.'
He also thanked local officials, sponsors, and coaches who supported him on his fight.
'Maraming salamat sa inyong lahat. This victory is not just mine, it's ours!'
Aside from Marcial, fellow Filipino boxer Mark Magsayo also won by unanimous decision against Jorge Mata.

Poy Erram reveals ACL injury
Poy Erram bared that he has sustained an ACL injury, just days after his TNT fell to San Miguel in the PBA Season 49 Philippine Cup finals last Friday. Erram revealed the development on Sunday as the seasoned big man is expected to be sidelined for some time, leaving the TNT frontcourt with Brandon Ganuelas-Rosser and Kelly Williams. "With a heavy heart, I share that I've suffered an ACL injury. It's painful, it's frustrating, and I have every reason to be mad," Erram said in a heartfelt post. The 36-year-old Erram hurt his ankle in Game 2, where he still managed to finish with six points, three assists, and two rebounds. He then missed the entire Game 3, but would return in Game 4 and contribute six markers and four boards in almost 19 minutes of action. Erram, though, did not make it again in the next two games as TNT fell short in its grand slam bid with the Beermen closing out the series with a 107-96 Game 6 triumph. Despite the setback, Erram is optimistic that he can still make a comeback. Leylah Fernandez cruises past Kalinskaya to claim Washington Open title
Filipino-Canadian Leylah Fernandez earned the biggest win of her career as she beat Anna Kalinskaya 6-1 6-2 in the Washington Open final on Sunday. After a brief rain delay in the nation's capital, Fernandez - who was just one game away from defeat in the semi-finals - overcame the extreme humidity to capture her first WTA 500 title in her first final in over a year. The Filipino-Canadian gained the upper hand early on, securing a break thanks to a Kalinskaya double fault, before breaking again with a sharp return winner. The Russian world number 48 appeared to struggle physically as Fernandez calmly served out the opening set in just under half an hour. Kalinskaya could not find her stride in the match, dropping serve twice in the second set, while the 22-year-old Fernandez remained in control, never looking back on her way to the title.
