‘Very high profile' star stopped by M&S security after being caught eating food without paying

The Irish Sun17-07-2025
A MYSTERY 'very high profile' celebrity has been called out by Ryan Thomas for an awkward incident in M&S.
The former Corrie star appeared on the latest episode of his podcast alongside his brothers, Adam and Scott, discussing everything from train disasters to what kind of underwear they prefer.

However, during the chat, as the group spoke about the annoyance of self-checkout tills,
"There is somebody that is very high profile, that was walking round M&S - I'm never going to mention their name, but it's a great story," he said.
"He was walking around eating the mandarin oranges in M&S and the security guy came up to this person and said 'you can't eat them until you've paid for them'.
"And this person said 'oh, i'm so sorry i've never done that before' and he went 'Yes you have... you've been doing it for the last six weeks!'

"He went 'how do you know that' and he said 'because we watch you on camera every single week doing the same thing!'"
"I can't tell you who, but it's a great story," Ryan concluded, later defending the star to his brothers by saying he was going to pay for them anyway.
"I imagine some people don't though," noted Adam, to which Ryan joked it was a "try before you buy" situation.
Ryan made sure not to give away anything too revealing about the star, not even using pronouns to identify them as a male or female, or how high profile he actually meant.

The trio launched their podcast At Home With The Thomas Bros last month, with all three discussing anything on their minds that week as well as giving insights into their family lives.
The launch came after Ryan and Adam landed their biggest gig yet as the host of a new

Rather than ignore the tag, 16-year-old Scarlett is embracing the tag, and in April declared in a TikTok: "God forbid a girl takes the chances she gets.'
She landed her first acting job playing Izzy Charles in BBC drama Waterloo Road at the age of 14, staring alongside her uncle Adam.
However, in an
exclusive interview with The Sun,
Ryan was keen to note that she is making a career on her own merit.
'Everyone thinks she gets a lift up from family, getting on Waterloo Road," he told us.
"But she worked damn hard to get that job, and people need to recognise that she's a talented girl – she's up against other people and she's not getting a free ride.
'She has to go through the same process as everyone else – it was between her and somebody else. It wasn't like, 'This is a Thomas, she's going to get this job'.'

Americans baffled by Ireland's chicken fillet roll and Cork's flag during visit

Rattling off your go-to chicken fillet roll order might be second nature, but for tourists, the fascination lies in understanding why this humble deli item is a staple in Irish life. That's exactly what piqued the interest of American YouTubers Joey and Lauren, who sampled their very first chicken fillet roll on a trip to Cork. Their culinary adventure began after comedian and singer-songwriter Garron Noone dropped a comment on one of their videos. However, upon reaching Dunnes Stores to try out the renowned hangover remedy, they were hit by the sudden realisation that they were clueless about the process. The rookie pair, eager to dig into what they dubbed an iconic part of the Irish diet, turned to the store staff and some youngsters in line for their own rolls for guidance. Joey confessed to the camera inside Dunnes: "We are probably going to ask somebody because we have never gotten this before. We don't really know what this is but we know we need to try it." Despite the initial confusion, the content creators got their rolls after some help from locals (Image: YOUTUBE/Joey and Lauren) Lauren chimed in with her own uncertainty: "We are kind of confused how to get it, like if you are supposed to order it or buy it in a prepackaged thing?" After getting some assistance, they received their rolls, opting for a "really plain" combo of southern fried chicken, mayonnaise, butter, shredded cheese and corn, all for €4.99. Before tucking in, Joey expressed gratitude towards the Cork locals: "Everybody was super helpful. They helped us order it and we also got a free can of 7UP. "Really nice workers here and these group of guys to our right, they actually helped us out a lot, they have been really nice to us." When it came to the big reveal, Lauren declared: "It smells good. I don't know how I'm going to take a bit out of this it is so big. Oh my gosh. That's really good. It is hard to eat though." She went on to say: "We will definitely be getting this again. This is really good, definitely one of my favourite things that I have eaten here... hashtag demolished." A true sight to be hold (Image: YOUTUBE/Joey and Lauren) Joey was just as impressed, and after polishing his off, he enthused: "This is super good. In the words of Garron Noone, delicious, because this is super good. I would get this ten times out of ten, this is a ten out of ten, I am glad we got this. I am really hungry, kind of hungover, and this is a great treat for that." The pair had a brilliant time exploring Cork, but before discovering the ins and outs of the All Ireland hurling final, something else - aside from the chicken fillet roll - left them scratching their heads. Discussing the iconic red and white banners, Joey explained: "There is really great scenery here. We love this spot overlooking the water here, amazing. But as we have been doing our walks we have been noticing these flags, it looks like a Polish flag or an Indonesian flag so we were like, 'Are people just really big fans of Poland here because it is red and white?' "But luckily our friends last night told us it is actually Cork's county flag, so cool to know." Following the release of their video, which can be viewed in its entirety here, one viewer responded: "Chicken fillet roll out of Dunnes. You have been baptised. You can officially call yourself Irish."

MAFS UK stars sneak off on intimate weekend away at romantic hotel – despite NOT being close on the show

THEY barely exchanged more than a side-eye on screen - but it looks like sparks are finally flying off-camera. MAFS UK stars have shocked fans by sneaking off for a cosy weekend getaway at a romantic hotel - despite showing zero chemistry during their time on the show. Adam even pulled out a surprise gift for her - a beaded necklace he made himself. Kristina was left gobsmacked, welling up as she hugged Adam and proudly showed it off to the camera. Advertisement more on mafs Taking to Instagram to share the sweet moment with her followers, the reality star posted a video of her reaction, as Adam explained: 'It kinda matches mine but more female.' Kristina squealed: 'Oh my god. Oh my god. I'm obsessed. Thank you! I love that!' Beaming, she gave fans a closer look, holding the necklace up and grinning: 'It's so pretty! I got a present!' It looks like MAFS might have worked for the pair after all. Mafs couples that have stood the test of time Loved-up Tayah Victoria and Adam Aveling of series six fame had the first Mafs baby. The pair couldn't keep their hands off each other on the programme and quickly found their feet in the outside world, moving into Adam's Doncaster home. Just 18 months after meeting, the couple welcomed their daughter Beau. Season five couple Michelle Walder and Owen Jenkins also managed to make their marriage work away from the cameras and had their first child in December. Teacher Michelle, 29, has no regrets about taking part in the experiment. She told us: 'I just feel very lucky and thankful that it has worked out - and excited for everything to come.' Michelle and Owen were both sick of dating apps when they applied in 2019. Owen recalled: 'I had been out for some drinks with a friend after work. "While he was out for a cigarette I was scrolling on Instagram waiting for him to come back in. 'The MAFS advert was the last thing I saw, and I joked, 'Wouldn't it be funny if I signed up?' 'A few beers later when I was back at home I sent in the application, and the rest is history.' Another couple to make Mafs UK history is Zoe Clifton and Jenna Robinson. Despite a slight rocky start, where they clashed over Jenna's vegan lifestyle, the show's first same sex pairing are still going strong. They even have a successful podcast together called Life With a Pod. Jenna shed light on being involved in the show earlier this year when she told us: "We're not legally married, and I never felt like we were. I definitely feel the process makes you take the relationship a lot more seriously and having the help of the experts… if you can survive that process it sets a firm foundation for a long-lasting relationship." While their original matches didn't quite work out, eagle-eyed fans couldn't help noticing Kristina and Adam's growing friendship behind the scenes. And judging by their romantic hotel getaway and that handmade necklace - it's giving major second-chance love vibes. Leisha juggles her role as dental practice manager with marketing and social media roles, often showcasing her lavish getaways and glam lifestyle on Instagram and TikTok.
