Kaizer Chiefs open to selling African star
Kaizer Chiefs are expected to find and introduce at least one new goalkeeper before the start of the 2025/26 Betway Premiership season.
It's been nine months since the Rwandan international goalkeeper Fiacre Ntwari joined Amakhosi from TS Galaxy. Despite a promising start at the beginning of last Spring, Ntwari has been out of the Kaizer Chiefs team since October 2024.
According to Soccer Laduma, the club is considering cashing in on a sale that involves Ntwari.
'The club still respects Ntwari, but they are realistic about his situation,' an insider at Naturena told the outlet. Fiacre Ntwari warms up at the Toyota Stadium with Kaizer Chiefs before facing Marumo Gallants in the Cufa Cup. Image: @lorenzKO/X
'If a good offer comes and it makes sense for everyone involved, Kaizer Chiefs will consider letting him go, especially with the squad changes expected under the new technical direction,' the source added.
In the meantime, the club's existing options are Brandon Petersen, Bruce Bvuma and Bontle Molefe. The club was also linked with the likes of Stanley Nwabali at Chippa United, and of course Toaster Nsabata from Zesco United in Zambia.

Kaizer Chiefs have prioritised the revitalisation of their attack in the coming transfer window, I order to improve their fortunes. Chiefs woes in front of goals lasts season were well documented, with coach Nasreddine Nabi not shying away from them. This, however, has not been a problem unique to just last season. Even during the tenure of former coach Arthur Zwane, they have been trying to find a solution. Since then, they have acquired players like Christian Saile, Caleb Bimenyimana, Ranga Chivaviro , Tashreeq Morris and Glody Lilepo. Yet there has been no solution to Chiefs ' struggles in the box. What had improved last season under Nabi, however, has been their chances created. That hasn't, however, seen them stop their pursuit of another player that can both score and produce assists. According to FARPost , Chiefs are interested in signing Sekhukhune United's Keletso Makgalwa. Furthermore, they believed the player has already said goodbye to his teammates at Babina Noko. According to a Sekhukhune player, the former Mamelodi Sundowns attacker bid farewell to his Babina Noko teammates, sparking speculation about an imminent departure. However, sources within the Limpopo-based club have clarified that they intend to build their team around Makgalwa for the upcoming season. The 28-year-old player joined Sekhukhune on a three-year deal from Upington City FC after mutually parting ways with Sundowns.' Wrote the publication. Before last season, it was rumoured that Chiefs had signed Makgalwa, on an pre-contract from Upington FC. In the end, that proved not to be true, with the speedy winger going to register 11 goals and seven assists in the topflight. Will Jose Riveiro raid Orlando Pirates for signings?
Orlando Pirates are preparing to start a new era without former coach Jose Riveiro, who moved to Al Ahly. Pirates allowed Riveiro to leave for Al Ahly early, so that he can help them prepare for the FIFA Club World Cup. During his tenure, Riveiro has helped Pirates win five trophies. Three MTN8 titles in a row as well as back to back Nedbank Cup titles. Furthermore, Beyond that, he led the Buccaneers into a second place in the Betway Premiership. Beyond local boarders, he ensured qualification for the side, into the group stages of the CAF Champions League. After doing so for the first time since 2018, they finished top of their group and unbeaten. Riveiro led Pirates to a semifinal finish in the CAF Champions League, with a Nedbank Cup final too. Now as he embarks on his new journey at Al Ahly, he will undoubtedly be looking to reinforce his squad. Speaking upon his arrival at the club, he has already expressed delight at what he has at his disposal. 'I like the players to be at the same level. We will participate in many tournaments in the coming period, and I don't like any player to be guaranteed a place in the team. Every player must perform strongly in training in order to be a regular starter in matches. We want strong players who can always compete. I don't want a large number of players on the team. I like a small number of players, and that's what I prefer.' He told Al Ahly TV as per Tahiamasr . Riveiro also seemed to put to bed any rumours that he will be looking to sign any players from Pirates. 'I want to give every player a chance. I didn't ask any player from Orlando (Pirates) to join Al Ahly. The current group at Al Ahly is excellent, and Mahmoud El Khatib, the club's president, is constantly supporting the team. I always like to focus and work with the players so they can compete in the coming period. I trust all the players, and the fans' ambitions are very natural because they always want to win championships. Without the fans' pressure, Al Ahly would have failed to win titles.' Said Riveiro. Pirates fans are you happy Riveiro wont't be coming back for any of your players? Let us know by clicking on the comment tab. Or by emailing info@ or sending a WhatsApp to 060 011 021 1. NEW: Kaizer Chiefs back targeting star Bafana Bafana winger!
Kaizer Chiefs are determined to boost their attack ahead of next season, and with international quality stars. Chiefs coach Nasreddine Nabi has made it his personal mission to go out and get the top attackers he needs. One of the things Chiefs have failed to get in the past seasons are goals. Nabi had been lamenting the lack of final product in his squad throughout his debut season at the club. It is then no surprise to see him linked with players Fiston Mayele, who finished top scorer in the CAF Champions League. He is also a DRC international and a winner of that competition with FC Pyramids. It has also been said that Nabi went and convinced another long-term target in Feisal Salum to join. The player has a very good record scoring goals and also making assists in Tanzania. The player Nabi coached both players while at Yanga SC, and is hoping to use his positive relationship to lure both. Now that isn't expected to be all for Chiefs. Rumours out of Tunisia claim they've reignited their interest in Bafana Bafana international Elias Mokwana. Tunisian publication Nessma Sport claim that Chiefs have shown interest in signing Mokwana from Esperance. They say that the club are awaiting a decision from from the club hierarchy before deciding on his future. With the blood and gold set to head off to the FIFA Club World Cup, any decision is expected to be taken after. Playing in the tournament in the USA would've clearly been part if the pull for the winger. It is no secret that Chiefs were interested in signing Mokwana last season, and had a bid turned down. The player recently spoke out about a potential move to Amakhosi in future, leaving the door wide open. Chiefs fans, would signing Mokwana be a huge statement of intent from the club?
