‘It was a really scary house': Princess Andre on privacy, fun, ambition – and life with Katie Price
Now that she has come of age, 18-year-old Andre has her own four-part reality show, The Princess Diaries, on ITV2. As you would expect, it has already made headlines. While her father is a regular on the show, her mother is not. As I approach the cafe in Surrey where we are meeting, the Sun and the Mirror publish stories saying that Price is devastated not to have been invited to Andre's 18th birthday party or to have been included in the show, adding that her daughter is 'too scared' to tell the truth about the family rift. So, business as usual.
Andre is here today with her manager, Marie-Claire Giddings – another echo from the past. When Peter and Price were making reality shows together, their manager, Claire Powell, was omnipresent. After their bitter divorce, Powell continued to manage Peter. Neither she nor Peter talk to Price today. Giddings works for Powell.
I tell Andre that we have met before. She looks surprised. No wonder. Andre was eight months old at the time and I was interviewing her mother. There is a symmetry to their lives that astonishes Andre. Price, then known as Jordan, was queen of the Page 3 slot in the Sun by 18. 'As I started building my own career, Mum said it's crazy that I was your age when I started doing these things. I was like: really! I was shocked.' About her doing topless modelling at such a young age? 'No, that she was so successful at that age.'
Andre says she probably wouldn't do topless modelling herself. 'That's not as popular nowadays and it just doesn't appeal to me. But I have nothing against anyone who does it, obviously.' She orders a hot chocolate.
Price became a hugely successful brand. By the time we met in 2007, she had lines in makeup, books, bras – you name it – and was worth an estimated £30m, although she was subsequently declared bankrupt twice (in 2019 and 2024). Andre says in her show that few people are aware of her own ambitions to be a successful businesswoman.
I show her the headline from the 2007 piece I wrote about her mum: 'Who wants to be a billionaire?'
'No way! That's crazy.' Would the same headline be appropriate for her? 'Would I want to be a billionaire? Well, that's my aim!'
'You just want to be successful,' Giddings corrects her.
'Yeah, I just want to be successful and be able to provide for my future and my family when I have one,' Andre says.
She sips her drink thoughtfully. Then she has a brainwave. 'I want to take a picture of my hot chocolate,' she says. Will it be Instagrammed? She shakes her head. 'No, this will be Snapchatted.' Giddings laughs. 'This is literally my life,' she says apologetically. 'So don't feel insulted!'
Did Andre always want to star in her own reality show? 'I always loved being in front of a camera.' She thinks back to when she was a toddler on TV. 'I'd come in the room and …' She tilts her head to the side, in modelling mode. 'I loved the entertainment. When I was asked to do my own, I was sceptical because of my age, but, yes, I've also always wanted to do it.'
As well as the obvious similarities, there are also huge differences between Andre and her mother. While Price is a funny, reckless, potty-mouthed force of nature, Andre is more like her father – polite, respectful, more reserved. I ask if she ever fancied being a doctor, like her father's wife, her stepmother Emily MacDonagh, who is also prominent in the show. 'No, the doctor path was never for me.' She went to a private school in Surrey and left to study beauty at 16.
Were you swotty at school? 'What does that mean?' Did you work hard? 'Oh, yes, in the subjects I liked, I was good. I left after GCSEs.' Did you pass them? 'Yes,' Giddings answers on her behalf. Andre says: 'I passed three of them. Music, fashion and English language. I like creative writing. I'm quite good at waffling.'
Perhaps Andre was destined for a life in reality TV. Yet she says she is self-conscious. In the show, she says she always thought her nose was too big and her lips too thin and that she 'hated' the way she looked. Whereas surgery was the answer for her mother, makeup is Andre's solution. 'You can change anything with makeup,' she says. 'Now, I feel a lot more confident.'
What made her so self-conscious? 'Social media,' she says instantly. 'When I was younger, I got comments about my appearance.' If this was Price, she would tell you every detail. But not Andre. She simply smiles and asserts herself. 'I don't let the comments get in the way of anything.'
In The Princess Diaries, we see her showing her father some of the comments. When she tells him that one man has posted about her 'finally being legal', he is furious. But that is simply the generational difference, she says. 'Dad grew up with TV. Social media, TikTok, Instagram and Snapchat weren't around then. Those comments are everyday, normalised, so they don't really shock me.'
In Andre's world, you live and die by social media. As an 'influencer', you are nothing without it, however hurtful it can be. I tell her that, as an old git, I have never quite understood what it is to be an influencer; I ask if she can explain. 'I guess it's someone who influences people to do stuff. I influence younger people with what I post.' Does she influence what they wear and buy? 'Yeah. My content is very organic, though – very real. Make up stories, which is what I do.'
Giddings, a former tabloid journalist, rushes to the rescue. 'Makeup! Not as in 'making up stories'. I didn't want you to think she's sitting there busy making up stories.'
Does she get paid to promote stuff? 'Yes. I don't get paid for normal posts. I like to post for my audience out of choice, not because I'm getting paid for it. But then there are branded posts or PR posts that I would get paid for.'
Giddings: 'But it's only brands that she's using already.'
Andre: 'I would never promote a brand that I don't like or don't have an interest in.' Are you making a good living out of it? 'Yeah.' Are you wealthy? 'Well, you could say so!' How much do you earn in a year? 'I can't tell you that, sorry.'
The most important brand is, of course, Andre herself. She prides herself on being natural (no fillers, no Botox), but stresses that it's neither a political nor a permanent position. When she was training as a beautician, it was an area of interest. 'I would have loved to have done that as a job,' she says. 'I was going to go into aesthetics, doing other people's fillers and stuff, 'cos the way it works interests me. But personally I don't think I will get any, just because my audience is so young. I want to be an inspiration for them. You should love yourself for you and not have to change yourself.'
Has her mother, who has had numerous surgical augmentations and reductions, advised her on this? 'Yeah. Mum said: 'Don't ever get anything done to yourself. You're so beautiful the way you are.' I found that interesting because I get told I look a lot like her at a young age. She'll say to me: 'In that picture, you look just like me when I was younger.'' Does she think Price regrets all her surgery? 'No. There are pictures that I've seen of her before [surgery] and I was like: 'You look so beautiful then,' and she's like: 'No!' She doesn't see it. So I don't think she does regret it.''
In her show, Andre says she wishes her childhood had been happier, but she doesn't go into details. Today, I ask if she can explain a bit more. Instead, she chooses to explain a bit less, telling me that she has so many happy memories from childhood – holidays, riding horses, having fun with her siblings. You sense she wants to give just enough to satisfy reality TV, but not so much that she ransacks her privacy.
I ask again about the unhappiness. 'Oh!' she says. Giddings prompts her. 'You talk about South Africa in the show.'
'Oh yeah, we got hijacked in South Africa when I was 10 and [her brother] Junior was 12. I was terrified. We were filming for a show with mum and her best friend.' It does sound terrifying. They were surrounded by six gunmen and her mother was sexually assaulted. 'It's one of the worst things I've experienced in my life. You don't think of anything else apart from trying to survive it. The police said it was a miracle that we all survived.'
It still affects her. 'I get scared of the dark and driving at night-time, 'cos that's when it happened. I get random flashbacks. If I'm driving at night, I'm like: 'Oh my God, just get me home.' I don't even look behind me.'
There are other sources of unhappiness that she prefers not to go into: her parents splitting up; Price's separation from her third husband, Kieran Hayler, the father of two of Andre's siblings. She had been close to Hayler, but now they don't see each other. Many of Price's reality shows were set in the aptly named Mucky Mansion, a nine-bedroom property in Sussex formerly owned by Price. Did Andre like living there? 'No. It was a really scary house. A lot went on there. So I didn't really like it.' Again, she doesn't go into details. 'I guess when you have bad experiences somewhere you don't like the place.'
A few years ago, Price experienced severe depression and became suicidal. In 2021, she had a terrible car crash while under the influence of alcohol and drugs. By this point, Andre and Junior had been living with their father full-time for three years. 'There was a period of time when me and Junior actually had to live with my dad,' she says, referring to a 2019 family court order made public this week by her father. (In response, a spokesperson for Price said she was 'at peace with the situation'.)
Andre says Price is in a much better place; she moves between their homes depending on how she feels. 'Dad's house is a lot quieter, a lot more peaceful, a lot more organised. Whereas my mum's house is much more just do what you want.' Does she prefer discipline or chaos? 'I love being in the middle. I love the two different houses, because if I fancy a bit more chaotic and busy I'll go to Mum's and if I fancy more relaxed I'll go to Dad's.'
Has her father been a stabilising influence? She looks at Giddings anxiously. 'This is going to come across really bad, isn't it?' she asks. 'Like, it's talking about how Mum's a mess and Dad is stable, d'you know what I mean?' It's touching how protective she is of Price. She turns back to me. 'Right now, Mum is completely different to how she was four years ago. If we're talking about the past, yes, my dad was more stable and Mum is naturally more crazy than my dad.'
'Not crazy!' Giddings corrects. 'Out there!'
'If you saw her now, she's way different,' Andre says.
She talks about how close she is to all seven of her siblings, giving a special mention to Theo and Millie, the eldest of Peter and MacDonagh's children, who are born entertainers, she says. Has she learned a lot from growing up with Harvey, Price's eldest child, who is severely disabled and a reality star in his own right? Her eyes light up. 'Yes, 100%. You learn patience. Ways of communicating. How to deal with his outbursts. How to calm him down. And as much as he is hard work, he is the funniest person I know.' I ask if he is still into trains. 'He loves trains. He loves frogs. He loves rainbows. And food.'
'Well, you've got that in common,' Giddings says.
I mention the stories that have just been published online, saying Price is upset with Andre. The thing is, Andre says, there will generally be some truth in the tabloid tales, but it won't be the truth. Take the reality show. While it's true that Price wasn't filmed for it, we do hear mother and daughter chatting lovingly on the phone. 'There's been a lot of articles about 'Princess doesn't want her mum in the show',' she says. Why was that decision made? 'There was actually no decision, really. But because I'm living with Dad at the moment, he was in it more.' Well, that and the fact that her management team is also Andre's management team. 'It was never true that I said I didn't want her in it,' she insists.
As for the idea of Peter Andre and Price being in it together, that never would have happened. 'They don't like each other,' she says, simply. Which takes us to Birthdaygate. Yes, it's true that Price wasn't invited to the party Princess had with Peter's family, but that was never on the cards. 'It would be quite strange for my mum and dad to be in it at the same time, just because that's never been the case in my life since they split up.'' The reality is she would usually spend part of her birthday with each parent, she says. 'The problem is the media like to twist the knife,' she says.
Ah, but this time it isn't the media twisting the knife, Giddings says. 'It was your mum that put that story out there.'
'Yeah,' Andre says, searching for a diplomatic response. 'Which is … interesting.'
'That was Kate that said all of that about her and her family not being invited,' Giddings continues.
Why don't you just ring your mum and ask her what she is playing at, I suggest. No, she says, it's not worth it. 'Mum can be annoyed about something and then we send each other a message and we're fine.'
Blimey, I say, it's not easy having parents is it? 'No,' she says. 'Especially divorced parents.'
Andre hopes her reality show is the gateway to a successful business career. She says she understands the positives and the pitfalls. 'No matter what I do in my life, I'll get compared to my mum. I guess it's always going to be a headline.' And now it's up to Andre to show the world whether that has been her fortune or misfortune.
The Princess Diaries is on ITVX now

Tommy Fury and Molly-Mae Hague trade blows in first episode of BBC documentary - as she accuses him of 'dressing like a girl' and he claims she's 'not the brightest' before revealing the REAL reason they split
Tommy Fury and Molly-Mae Hague traded light-hearted blows as they gave fans an insight into the wake of their split in the first episode of the boxer's new documentary, Tommy: The Good. The Bad. The Fury. The BBC Three series documents Tommy's battle with alcohol, as he reveals how it caused him to neglect his responsibilities as a father and partner and ultimately causing his relationship to fall apart. And in the opening episode, filmed while the couple were still broken up, the pair appeared to still be civil for the sake of two-year-old daughter Bambi as they made a series of playful jibes aimed at one another, with Molly taking a swipe at his fashion sense while Tommy questioned her intelligence. Meanwhile, Tommy, opened up on the real reason behind the couple's split, categorically denying that cheating had anything to do with their relationship falling apart. The boxer and the influencer, both 26, shocked fans when they announced their split last August, after welcoming daughter Bambi and getting engaged the year prior - though they have since rekindled their romance. After the split, Molly and Bambi proceeded to move out of the sprawling Cheshire mansion the family shared leaving Tommy alone and the episode shows Tommy Facetiming little Bambi and Molly as he eats breakfast amid his new single life. Meanwhile, Tommy, opened up on the real reason behind the couple's split, categorically denying that cheating had anything to do with their relationship falling apart [Tommy and Molly pictured in June 2024] And despite them no longer being together at the time, Molly couldn't help but comment on Tommy's choice of clothing, asking of his grey zip-up sweater: 'You're not going to wear that jumper while you're filming are you? It isn't good!' Looking down at his top, Tommy responded: 'Why are you throwing insults at 8.30 in the morning? About my jumper!' Molly, who has her own clothing brand Maebe, then went on to make a comment on the zip detail of his top, noting that it's 'quite girly', adding: 'that's on a lot of girls' stuff'. However, seemingly over Molly's jibes, Tommy simply responds: 'Alright' before giving a deep sigh. Another look at the pair's post-split dynamic comes later in the documentary as Tommy reflects on the love and pride he has for daughter Bambi, before making a cheeky dig at Molly's intelligence. He said: 'I couldn't be more proud of her. She's stunning, she's clever... I don't know where she got the clever from because me and her mother aren't the brightest of bunches!' Smirking to the camera, he then backtracks saying: 'I'll speak for myself actually, Molly will probably have a dig at me for that!' Last year, Tommy had surgery after secretly battling with a hand injury for some time, preventing him from getting back in the ring, which he said led to him getting 'black-out drunk' most nights. Another look at the pair's post-split dynamic comes later in the documentary as Tommy reflects on the love and pride he has for daughter Bambi, before making a cheeky dig at Molly's intelligence In the debut episode, he can be seen opening up about his alcohol issues and how it affected his relationship with Molly, with Tommy confirming that his battle with drink was the reason they broke up. As he reflected on the time of the split in which rumours swirled that he had cheated and even got another girl pregnant, Tommy insisted: 'The reason for the end of our relationship was alcohol.' He then spoke about his injury to his right hand and the effect it had on him as he remarked: 'I couldn't train, box, lift weights, that was all gone... I lost my whole identity, lost my whole life.' Tommy added: 'I was drinking a lot. You don't realise yourself at that point but other people around you do.' His dad and trainer John Fury then featured as told how he recognised the signs following older son Tyson's battle with booze, noting how he advised Molly-Mae that she was best off 'walking away' from Tommy Detailing how bad his drinking got, Tommy admitted: 'I hold my hands up, drink got hold of me. 20 shots a night, 20 beers, everyday I'd have a drink and I used to drink till I got blackout drunk.' He then candidly confessed he didn't think that Molly would leave him. Tommy went on to say that in their daughter's eyes, they were 'still a family' and nothing has changed for the tot, before noting that she's his biggest achievement and would die for her. In an interview with The Mirror earlier this month, Tommy described how he spent a lot of time alone 'sitting in a big dark room' after the break-up. He said: 'That's what I was doing most days. When you're in a big house all by yourself, you think about a lot of things, and you wish you could never go down that road, but it's happened.' The docuseries will see the father-of-one recalling how his booze issues began, detailing: 'I had enough drink to last me a lifetime in 2024. Last year, he had surgery after secretly battling with a hand injury for some time, preventing him from getting back in the ring, which he said led to him getting 'black-out drunk' most nights 'Suddenly, one day, you find that all you can do is sit down and then a few of them [drinks], it takes the pain away. You forget where you are, you forget what's going on. And sometimes you want that feeling all the time, and that's where obviously it starts.' Tommy went on: 'Now, when I look at that person from back then, I don't even recognise that guy. It's just not me. Back then, I didn't really care about anything. It was like the world going by, wasn't bothered, and that's just not me.' While he says he's not completely sworn off alcohol forever, the brother of heavyweight champion Tyson Fury, insists he now barely drinks and will save booze for special occasions. He explained: 'Going forward, if it's a wedding or something like that, I might have a couple of drinks. Four or five times a week is something nobody should be doing.' Tommy and Molly-Mae met on the fifth series of Love Island back in 2019, going on to welcome Bambi into the world in January 2023 and then getting engaged later that year. However they shocked fans when they announced that they had gone their separate ways in August 2024. The internet was abuzz with speculation and theories over what had happened to cause their split, but it was not until January that Tommy revealed it was due to his dependency on alcohol. In May, he admitted '2024 was the worst year of my life' and described how he spent 'a long time on a dark path' in an unflinching Good Morning Britain interview. He explained: 'Ever since I've been small from 5,6,7,8, all I've ever done is boxed, I've never had another job outside of boxing. I've always thought, breathed and done everything boxing. 'When you do that for such a long time and then all of a sudden you're sat in a hospital bed and you're thinking to the future of a year down the line. 'You're thinking to yourself, "I've never done anything else other than box, what am I going to do to pass the time? How am I going to get through this?" You fall into a dark place. 'Being in a position where boxing is everything, the fact I couldn't do that and get out of bed in the morning and do what I wanted to do to make me happy, I just thought s*** it all. 'You go down that dark route and you go down there for a few weeks and you end up staying there for a very long time and that has consequences.' Tommy admitted: '2024 was the worst year of my life and this year's going to be the best year of my life, it starts on Friday, I've turned it all around. 'I'm happy mentally now, I've got to go through these challenges in life. Everyone's got a hard life. 'I've come through this, I'm on the other side and I'm back doing what I do best.'

The curse of the Mucky Mansion: As Princess Andre brands home 'a really scary place' and Katie Price admits it was the root of all her troubles - here's what went on behind closed doors
Princess Andre raised eyebrows this week when she branded her former home a 'very scary place' - confessing she had a lot of 'bad experiences' inside the Mucky Mansion. Yet it's not just Princess who has an issue with the West Sussex property, with her mother Katie Price branding the place 'cursed' last year, when she was evicted by bailiffs for failing to keep up on her mortgage repayments. The glamour model exclusively told Daily Mail that she believed the home was the root of her problems following years of issues, including break ins, numerous pets dying, and even reports of 'seeing ghosts'. Katie claimed the home, which she lived in for a decade, was 'hell' and left her battling anxiety and overcome by panic attacks which forced her into therapy. She bought the detached, nine-bedroom pile, which became renowned for its state and even subject of a reality show, for £2 million in 2014. Katie finally sold the property in December 2024 for £1.5 million amid her financial woes. She didn't see a penny for the sale as it was swallowed up by the debts she previously ran up against the home. After leaving the property, she issued an ominous warning to the new owners, telling Daily Mail: 'I hate that house. Whoever buys it, I warn them, they will get bad luck there'. She continued: 'It is absolute cursed. My anxiety got worse with that house. There was a point when I couldn't even walk up the driveway without having a panic attack'. 'I had therapy about the house. I should never have gone back there. Now I'm out of it it's the best thing I've ever done.' Katie also spoke in the past about her fears that the home is haunted by the spirit of a small child, while a number of her pets have died in the property. In 2024 Katie shared pictures of two men she feared were trying to break into the Mansion - just days after she was forced to call police over another gang of strangers outside her home. She posted alarming doorbell footage on Instagram of an intruder approaching the front door before walking away. Katie followed it up with a picture of him and a second man as well as a photo of a white Ford they had parked on her driveway. Sussex Police told Daily Mail at the time that it had received a report of 'suspicious behaviour involving a possible break-in' at around 9pm. The two men were searched and given 'words of advice' before being released after no items were found, police said. It marked the latest incident to take place at the Mucky Mansion, which became the subject of a Channel 4 documentary when she attempted to install life back into the property for the last time. Katie also revealed how someone had snuck into her property in the middle of the night and splashed a corrosive substance over the Range Rover which had some of its pink paint stripped off. She revealed: 'There is 24 hour security now at the property for protection.' Ahead of her departure from her former home last May, a source said: 'Katie has been dreading this day for so long but now it is here, she can't wait to leave. 'The house has caused her so much grief and was too much to handle on her own. With work and the kids it all became too much in recent years. And she's convinced it's haunted.' During her time living at her Mucky Mansion Katie's treatment of animals also came under scrutiny after five dogs, a horse, and a chameleon all died while in her care - many of them in traffic accidents near the property. She attributed these tragedies to 'bad luck,' with most occurring while she was away. She has since secured the garden of her new home to ensure her pets' safety. Responding to people who say she shouldn't own animals, Katie told The Sun: 'When people say I shouldn't have animals, it's circumstances that were out of my hands. 'It's no lack of me not looking after them or anything like that. I love animals, I love nurturing.' In 2024 Katie shared pictures of two men she feared were trying to break into the Mansion - just days after she was forced to call police over another gang of strangers outside her home After reports that Katie had given away her puppy Tank due to 'losing interest,' PETA penned an open letter to her in February 2024. They offered her £5,000 if she signs a contract to not acquire another animal. 'While your intentions may be good, the ever-growing number of animals who have either died under your supervision or been given away is impossible to ignore, and people are rightly concerned,' PETA Vice President Elisa Allen wrote, in the letter shared by The Sun. 'Whatever you may offer as reasons for their suffering, relinquishment, or demise, the fact is that you are consistently harming these sensitive, sentient individuals, and I hope you agree that this is a solution.' PETA added: 'things have gone horribly wrong with many of the animals under her supervision'. In response to the open letter, a representative of Katie's told MailOnline: 'Katie has asked PETA many times to have a conversation with her directly, but instead they continue to play the narrative out in the media.' 'If they want to have a direct conversation with Kate they can get in touch.' 'Isn't it a waste of charity money or have they got funds available to give out to celebrities, which should be going towards animals?' Leading animal charity PETA has previously slammed Katie after her seventh pet died in her care - saying she has 'blood on her hands'. On the 'chaotic' life at Katie's Sussex home, which has become famous for its dilapidated state and repossessions, Princess admitted 'bad experiences' happened in the house: 'It was a really scary house. A lot went on there. So I didn't really like it.' While Princess did not specify what her own experiences were, Katie has famously sworn the home is haunted while also being victim of attacks on her home. Reflecting on the house, Princess said: 'No. It was a really scary house. A lot went on there. So I didn't really like it. I guess when you have bad experiences somewhere you don't like the place.' Discussing contrasts of life at her parents' respective homes, Princess went on: 'Dad's house is a lot quieter, a lot more peaceful, a lot more organised. Whereas my mum's house is much more just do what you want... 'I love being in the middle. I love the two different houses, because if I fancy a bit more chaotic and busy I'll go to Mum's and if I fancy more relaxed I'll go to Dad's.' Princess went on to reflect on her mum and dad's fractious relationship, in the wake of scandal surrounding her absence on the reality show. UNNAMED HORSE (2017) One of Katie's horses was tragically struck and killed by a car on the A24 in November 2017, after escaping from its field. She shared a photo of the car with its smashed up windscreen to her Instagram, writing: 'Last night our friends horses including one of ours escaped from their field and ran onto the road we are devastated. 'We are extremely upset to find out one of our horses was killed last night being hit by a car... 'Thank god the driver of this car was very lucky and escaped and wish him well, police were amazing and so was the local community and thank them all! 'Our friends other four horses thank god are alive with a couple of them injured and are still being treated by the vet and will be ok!' DOBBY AND HAGRID (2017) Katie owned two Sphynx cats named Dobby and Hagrid after the characters from Harry Potter. However, in December 2017 she said she was selling them for £1,300 each because her dogs didn't get on with them. She continued to post photos of the cats on Instagram until 2021, so it is unclear whether she sold them. Katie was left 'devastated' after her German Shepherd, Queenie, was killed in a hit and run accident. The dog was gifted to her on her 36th birthday by her now ex-husband Kieran Hayler. In a since deleted Instagram post, Katie said Queenie was hit by a 'heartless' delivery driver who left the dog to die. She wrote: 'I'm absolutely devastated heartbroken my faithful loving family dogs life Queenie has been shortlived as she was killed by a heartless delivery driver who ran into our dog seeing her struggle and drove off without telling and left her to die. 'Very disappointed a human being can be this heartless! Security cameras show this and we have reported to police! DEVASTATED is a understatement.' MARVIN (2018) Katie has owned a string of different animals, and even had a pet chameleon named Marvin. However, Marvin died in November 2018 with Katie allegedly claiming the lizard died 'of a broken heart' after her son Junior moved in with his dad Peter Andre. A source close to the star told The Sun: 'Marvin didn't go with Junior when he moved in with his dad over the summer. And now Katie thinks that the reptile has died of a broken heart.' But the insider added: 'However, with all of her money troubles Katie has been unable to heat her mansion, and chameleons needs to be warm at all times.' They also revealed she had wanted to keep the children's pets at her house, as she hoped it would mean the kids would visit her more. They said: 'Katie is blaming Peter for Marvin's death as she claims that he wouldn't take Junior and Princess's pets when they moved in with him. 'But Katie didn't want him to take them as she thought the children would visit her more if the pets stayed with her. 'The whole family has been left devastated by Marvin's death, but especially Junior - he is heartbroken.' While a source close to Peter said: 'He was never asked to look after it. It's outrageous that she's blaming him.' PEGGY (2019) Katie sparked backlash from fans in February 2019, after gifting her daughter Princess with a pet hedgehog. Fans slammed Katie for bringing the spikey mammal, named Peggy, into her home with her dogs, saying Peggy would be 'terrified'. In October of that year, Katie then lost Peggy for two weeks in her 'Mucky Mansion'. In a YouTube tour of her home, she admitted the hedgehog had gone missing somewhere in the house. A source later revealed that she had since found Peggy again, saying: 'Peggy is back - Katie always knew she'd find her again.' BEAR (2019) Katie bought another Alsatian named Bear in November 2018 for £1,000, who is the half-sister of Sparkle. However, she gave away the dog only six months later in April 2019 after he had three near death experiences in a matter of weeks. Both Bear and Sparkle kept escaping from her house and were nearly run over several times. In February 2019, Bear ran onto a busy dual carriageway but was luckily saved by a passerby who took him to a vet. The following month, he escaped again and was rescued by a passing police officer near the A24. Katie eventually rehomed Bear in April, with a source telling The Sun: 'Bear kept getting out on the main road and Katie doesn't want to risk him getting hurt or worse. 'A breeder is going to have him neutered and find him a permanent loving home, and Katie will still have plenty of pets around to keep her company.' Katie's third Alsatian, Sparkle, tragically passed away in a very similar way to her late German shepherd Queenie. The dog allegedly escaped from the star's home and was hit by a car on the A24, near her 'Mucky Mansion', the same road that Bear was nearly run over on. Sharing the news on Instagram, Katie said: 'Hey guys, really f***ed off this morning. I've just woken up to realise that one of my dogs has been killed on the road. 'I've just checked with the neighbours and everything seems to be how it was when they left the dogs so I don't know how they escaped but yeah, one of my Alsatians has been hit and killed. 'I was away last night with my PA and I left my neighbours to feed the dogs because that's what they do when I'm not there. She added: 'Obviously something has happened in the night.' ROLO (2020) Katie's pet dog Rolo suffocated at her home after apparently getting trapped in an electric armchair. Despite receiving CPR, the French bulldog - a gift for daughter Princess's 13th birthday - could not be saved. Katie told YouTube followers: 'There was nothing they could do, but they did say he wouldn't have died in pain, it was quick.' The dog had only been with the family for a few weeks before its tragic death leading to anger from the public towards Katie and the breeders who sold her the puppy. The breeders took to their Instagram to defend themselves, saying they had done 'everything we possibly could' to ensure Rolo went to a good home, including background checks and a home visit. They wrote: 'Rolo's death was a tragic accident that had nothing at all to do with his health or @jrcbullies'. Katie commented on the post, saying: 'It's nobody's fault and something that happened tragically we are all devastated about so instead of pointing fingers think of how we are all feeling so respect us all.' However, she later revealed she was illegally advised to give Rolo cannabis oil, after she was gifted the substance in a 'puppy hamper'. Rolo fell asleep under an electric chair after having the non-psychoactive cannabis derivative and later 'suffocated' after the family's nanny sat on the chair. Katie told the Mirror that a vet told her giving the puppy CBD oil may have encouraged him to seek out a cosy place to sleep, such as the chair. A spokeswoman for Katie said: 'Katie was told the oil was for dogs and safe. It was endorsed by the breeder. Katie will join forces with Peta and any other groups that need her to speak out.' A source close to her added: 'As awful as it sounds, this will bring some comfort to Katie in understanding why Rolo crawled into the space. 'She feels let down too by a system that allows CBD oil to be marketed for pets despite it being illegal. Katie had backlash, hate mail, death threats and trolling over Rolo's tragic passing. As a family, they continue to mourn.' PRECIOUS (2021) Katie gave the family's French Bulldog to a builder working on her Channel 4 show Mucky Mansion little more than a year after getting her. The dog was a gift from her on-off fiancé Carl Woods, to celebrate their six month anniversary. 'She's a French bulldog called Precious – [my daughter] Princess came up with the name,' Katie told The Sun. 'It's my six-month anniversary present from Carl. We might not have a baby, but this is our new baby together.' CAPTAIN, BUDDY, COLIN AND BATMAN (2022) Katie currently has four Chihuahuas named Captain, Buddy, Colin and Batman. However in January 2022, fans feared for Buddy after she took him horse riding, by stuffing him down her jacket. That same year, she was left 'devastated' and 'in bits' after losing Captain while on holiday in Dorset with Carl. A source told The Sun: 'Katie was in bits. She thought Captain would be fine off his lead as they were staying on a friend's private property which was very secure but he managed to run off.' They went on to tell the publication: 'Katie was devastated thinking she has lost him for good, or that he might get run over.' After eight hours of searching she then received a phone call to say Captain had been found after being taken to a local vet, where they were able to identify him via his microchip. SHARON (2022) In November 2022, Katie's beloved dog Sharon was killed when she allegedly escaped and ran onto the road where she was hit by a car. The Pomeranian was picked up off the A24 by the driver of the vehicle and taken to to Arun Vets in Pulborough, West Sussex, where her death was confirmed. A source close to Katie told The Sun that the tragic even was 'rotten luck' and claimed that Katie was 'in bits'. BLADE (2023) In June 2023, Katie confirmed the death of her protection dog Blade, who was also struck by a car near her West Sussex property. Taking to Instagram, she wrote: 'Words can't express the lost of my best friend my protector my absolutely everything who had sadly passed away today. I have no words to say how I'm feeling but numb and shocked rip Blade.' She revealed that the RSPCA had visited her house after Blade's death, but then claimed that someone had deliberately killed him. Katie said: 'Update – RSPCA have been up to my house not having any concerns about my animals and never had. 'We are trying to put together how Blade has been killed and his last steps as this is a deliberate target to kill him.' TANK (2024) Katie bought German Shepherd Tank a month after Blade's death. However, in August 2023 she was accused of hitting the puppy in a TikTok live as he sat on her clothes. She could be heard yelling: 'Get off! You're sitting on my jumpers, my love, jumpers that I love. Get off. Jesus Christ... Anyway, as I was saying...' As Tank moved out of shot, Katie could be seen raising her hand to the animal, with users claiming they heard a 'loud smack'. Then she gave Tank away, reportedly because he no longer 'looks cute on Instagram'. The Sun reported that the mother-of-five got rid of the dog after 'losing interest' in him because she needed to 'train' him.

Strictly Come Dancing fans predict 'same sex pairings' and one star that could be 'benched' ahead of new series
Strictly Come Dancing fans have predicted 'same sex pairings' and one star that could be 'benched' ahead of the new series. Eagle-eyed viewers of the show teamed up on social media to discuss the fate of the freshest celeb contestants as well as potential matches, after the stellar 2025 line-up was revealed. The final three celebrity contestants were confirmed on Friday morning, with showbiz correspondent Ross King, former Lioness Karen Carney and Game Of Thrones star Kristian Nairn finishing off the reveals. They are set to join the likes of Gladiator Harry Aikines-Aryeetey; Love Island's Dani Dyer; actress Alex Kingston; footballer Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink; soap star Balvinder Sopal and TikTok star George Clarke on the dancefloor. And now, dedicated fans of the beloved BBC show shared their theories on Reddit, taking a bet on which celebrity will be paired with which pro. A fan predicted Kristian will be matched with a male professional, writing: 'Given his height, maybe there's a chance he gets a male pro? 'Even the taller female pros will still be nearly a foot shorter than him. Excited to see him, always struck me as a lovely guy in interviews.' While another user responded: 'Maybe he'll get Johannes?' 'Wow, was not expecting this. Rooting for him and excited to see how they will work around the height difference,' a third person added. Another Strictly viewer shared his takes in the fan-studded thread, penning: 'I feel like these will all be paired together. 'Alex Kingston and Aljaz Skorjanec, Balvinder Sopal and Neil Jones, Chris Robshaw and Nadiya Bychkova, Dani Dyer and Julian Caillon.' 'Harry Aikines-Aryeetey and Lauren Oakley, Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink and Dianne Buswell, Karen Carney and Vito Coppola, Kristian Nairn and Carlos Gu, La Voix and Kai Widdrington, Ross King and Jowita Przystal. 'Stefan Dennis and Karen Hauer, Thomas Skinner and Luba Mushtuk, and Vicky Pattison and Johannes Radebe.' Elsewhere a different fan theorised Spanish pro Gorka Marquez could be 'benched' this year, saying: 'Gorka (obviously), Amy, Katya, Nancy and Michelle. 'The reason I suggested these pairing predictions is because Katya has been through enough scandals already especially the Wynne Evans situation last year so best to leave her on the bench to prevent more controversy. 'It's about time Vito challenges himself with someone with not as much dance experience or a fair amount of rhythm so Karen Carney would be possible. They continued: 'Even though Karen Hauer is the oldest female pro still going, I feel Stefan Dennis would be a possible contender for her as this may well be her last year on the show (unless she wants to set the record to overtake Brendan's 15 series and Anton's 18 series then fair enough). 'It would also be best if Amy sits this series out to prioritise her health and well being.' But another user interceded disagreeing, responding: 'I'd be incredibly surprised if Katya was benched. And now, dedicated fans of the beloved BBC show shared their theories on Reddit, taking a bet on which celebrity will be paired with which pro 'If her controversies were seen as bad enough to not have her compete, I reckon they would just advise her to quit.
