Holly Willoughby swaps fake tan for £33 blurring body makeup ahead of Reality TV Awards

Daily Mirror5 days ago
Holly Willoughby admitted she 'hates fake tan', but she swears by this £33 skin-blurring body makeup instead which 'evens out tone' and doesn't transfer onto your clothes
If you want to create a natural-looking glow but want to stay out of the sun, self tan is usually the go-to for replicating a bronzed look without risking sun damage. However if you've never been a big fan of fake tan, or haven't quite mastered the art of applying it, it turns out you're in good company.
Holly Willoughby, who's programmes Celebrity Bear Hunt and Dancing On Ice are both nominated at tonight's National Reality TV Awards, has previously shared with Beauty Full Lives podcast that she never wears fake tan, despite always looking healthy and bronzed. Speaking on the podcast, she said: "Everybody thinks I wear fake tan but I hate fake tan! Never been able to get on with it.' She continued: 'But this leg stuff, I really like it. If I'm wearing a skirt on This Morning, sometimes I put a bit on my legs just to even the tone out a little bit.'
The 'leg stuff' Holly is referring to is the Vita Liberata Body Blur, which you can currently pick up for £33 at LookFantastic. The wash-off body makeup instantly perfects and smoothes your skin tone, as well as adding a subtle golden glow that rivals fake tan.
You can choose from three different shades – dark, light and medium – which you can use to add some more depth to your usual skin tone, or opt for a shade that matches your skin's current shade if you just want the smoothing and perfecting effects. The body makeup instantly provides a blurring effect, as well as balancing an uneven skin tone and covering imperfections.
It's also transfer-resistant, so you don't need to worry about it rubbing off on your clothes or bedding. The Vita Liberata Body Blur has been formulated with shea butter and glycerin to hydrate your skin, and has light-reflecting technology built into it to give your skin a subtle glow.
Even if you're usually quite the fake tan aficionado, it's a great pick for any last minute plans or topping up your existing tan thanks to its fast-drying formula. To use it, just apply to clean, un-moisturised skin using a tanning mitt, and buff it into your skin in circles for an even, flawless coverage.
If you prefer a quick fix that doesn't need any extra tools (or mitts) then the Sally Hansen Airbrush Water Resistant Leg Makeup Medium (£13.99) is a great option. You simply spray it directly onto your hands then smooth into your skin before leaving it for 60 seconds to dry.
Once dried, you can get dressed as normal, with the spray offering full-coverage with no streaks, transferring or smudging. It not only creates an airbrushed effect, but can help make things like bruises, scars and even tattoos less visible.
For less coverage but the same glow-boosting, smoothing effect, you could also try Fenty's Body Sauce Body Luminizing Tint which is currently £33.60 down from £42. It also comes in three shades and is enriched with Vitamin E to hydrate your skin, whilst still being resistant to humidity and transferring.
However if you want to take a leaf out of Holly's book, you can try out the Vita Liberata Body Blur for £33 now.

The second episode aired tonight and within minutes, a further two celebrities ripped off their arm bands and called it quits. The stars were tasked with trekking up a hill, before taking on the challenge of hanging from a wire over a ravine. However, Love Island star Chloe Burrows struggled on the climb, having already told her co-stars that she was finding the demands of the show difficult. As she was berated by the Special Forces staff for her moaning noises, she ripped off her arm band and told them between gasps for breath: "I can't do it." The DS was furious and yelled: "Can't do what? We've walked 300 metres up a f***ing hill!" He then told Chloe she was "wasting a massive opportunity" but through her tears, she told him: "I'm done, I'm done." After handing over her arm band, she headed down the hill, chucking her water bottle before taking off her backpack and saying: "F*** off, this is the worst thing I have ever done in my whole life!" But Chloe wasn't alone for long, as within a minute she was joined by another former Love Islander. The group continued climbing the hill, and the DS drilled number 5 - Tasha Ghouri - telling her to "dig deep" as she lagged behind. Vanessa Feltz stuns in a green floral gown as she continues to show off her weight loss

Vanessa Feltz stunned in a green floral gown as she continued to show off her weight loss on Monday. The TV presenter, 63, has been candid about her challenges with her weight in the past but has worked to maintain her slim figure. Leaving her TV show in London, she wore a summery midi dress with a tired skirt and ruffles. Vanessa completed her outfit with a pair of bright pink flip flops and layered a cream, boucle jacket over the top. She looked in high spirits as she carried her dress from last week's National Reality TV Awards over her arm. The talk show host revealed the secret behind her weight loss after admitting she has battled with her body image for decades. The former This Morning presenter has been candid about her challenges with her weight in the past, having fluctuated dramatically between sizes 10 and 22. Vanessa has described the 'turmoil' of dieting as soul-destroying, with her weight previously yo-yoing for 18 month periods as she came on and off eating plans. But in recent times, Vanessa has managed to sustain a slim figure. The presenter was pictured flaunting her impressive physique as she was awarded the prestigious Talk Show gong at the National Reality TV Awards on Wednesday. She arrived for the event, which was held at London's Porchester Hall, in a stunning pale pink gown with silver beaded detailing. The broadcaster proudly posed for snaps as she arrived for the ceremony, before heading backstage to show off her award. Speaking in OK! magazine in April, Vanessa has revealed the secret behind her sustained good looks. After being complimented on her figure, she replied: 'Oh that's very nice of you to say, thank you. Vanessa has been candid about her struggles with her weight in the past, having fluctuated between sizes 22 and 10. Pictured in 2009 She added: 'What have I been doing? I don't know! I think it's because I'm working so much, to be honest. 'I'm just working seven days a week. I've got the new Vanessa show on Channel 5 every day at 12.30pm. Then I do LBC Saturdays and Sundays. 'Being busy and on my feet must be contributing to how I look.' It was only a couple of years ago that Vanessa's cheating ex-boyfriend, Ben Ofoedu, branded her a 'chubby blonde' in a cheap shot after their breakup. But just months later, the presenter was showing off a new-look and impressive figure, having lost 2st thanks to what she called a 'broken heart diet'. Vanessa admitted that following the split, which arose after allegations of Ben cheating were leaked to the press, she 'hadn't eaten for months'.

Yet after the first act of the action-packed show, which is based on the F Scott Fitzgerald tome, Amber took to her social media page in a furious rant. Still in-character and donning a auburn-coloured wig, she issued a warning on Instagram. It came after she spotted an audience member filming from her seat and she added the text: "Stop filming shows, stop being selfish," on her slide. Amber then spoke direct to camera and said: "This is a PSA. The closer you are to the stage when you're watching a show the more obvious it is when you're filming. "This is the entire stalls. If you're filming in the stalls we can see you! "From someone who's on stage, I just wanna tell you a little bit about what we see. "So we see like a dark canvas and outlines of people's heads. "If you're filming, the reflection from the lights bounce straight back off your … the back of your iPhone onto us on stage. So it is the one thing we can see." Talking about one song in particular, she continued: "So to the woman filming New Money tonight - you distracted absolutely everybody on that stage. Dancing On Ice star Amber Davies rushed to medic as she shows off horrific bloody injury after accident at home "And not only that, it takes us out of the Gatsby world because you're filming and you've basically ruined that moment for everybody else who was watching the show tonight." Amber, who won Love Island, added in an emotional plea: "Please don't be selfish. Stop filming shows. "If someone is filming during a show know that this is the consequences that it has to the people on stage and tell them to stop because honestly it's annoying. "Also, I single-handedly will count how many seats back you are and tell our stage manager where you're sitting and what colour hair you've got, and trust me, in the interval they will come and ask you to delete the footage so you've basically done it for nothing. "Okay, I'm gonna enjoy act two now." Previously, Amber - who was crowned winners of Love Island with ex Kem Cetinay - played the role of Vivian Ward in Pretty Woman: The Musical UK. She has also starred in 9 to 5 alongside Dolly Parton, Bring It On, and Back to the Future. During the latter West End show, she met now-partner Ben Joyce. Prior to her stint on Love Island, Amber identified herself as a dancer. She had experience working as an entertainer in London's circus-themed club night, Cirque Le Soir—the same venue where Love Island's 2016 winner, Cara de la Hoyde, performed before her time on the show. 6 The show wraps at the London Coliseum next month Credit: Getty 6 Amber found fame in Love Island in 2017 Credit: Rex Features
