Marseille duo Adrien Rabiot and Ismaël Bennacer fit to return
Adrien Rabiot (29) and Ismaël Bennacer (27) are both set to make their returns when Olympique de Marseille face Stade de Reims on Saturday.
Rabiot played in Le Classique against Paris Saint-Germain before the international break before joining up with the France squad. The midfielder played in Les Bleus' first game against Croatia in the UEFA Nations League in Split, which ended in a 2-0 defeat, however, he missed the return leg with a minor calf injury. However, Rabiot will be fit to feature this weekend.
Hojbjerg remains sidelined for Marseille
Bennacer, meanwhile, missed the match against PSG due to a hamstring injury. In order to prevent any aggravation of the injury, he turned down his call-up to the Algerian national team for the recent international break. L'Équipe reports that it is very likely that he will feature for Marseille against Les Stadistes. However, Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and Michael Murillo both remain sidelined for Les Phocéens.

Igor Paixão on moving to Marseille: ‘I want to leave everything on the pitch for this club'
New Olympique de Marseille winger Igor Paixão (24) made his first appearance in front of the French press on Monday following his €30m (+€5m) move from Feyenoord. The Brazilian – now the most expensive signing in OM's history – promised fans he would give 'everything' for the club. Paixão said the following at a press conference transcribed by Get French Football News. Paixão registered 18 goals and 19 assists last season and is expected to line up on the left opposite Mason Greenwood. 'I love to score, I love to assist — but I'll also defend. If I can't score, I'll help the team in any way.' 'I want to give all the values I have to this club. I think we can do something great,' Paixão said. 'I want to leave everything on the pitch.' He also spoke with emotion about the support he received from fans upon arrival in Marseille. 'The welcome was incredible. It makes me want to give even more.' 'I know the supporters here are anti-racist — and that's something very important for me,' said the Brazilian winger. 'I've suffered from racism. That makes me even more determined to give everything for this club.' He added: 'This city is full of energy, and it motivates me. When I step on the pitch at the Vélodrome, I want to fight for these people.' The 24-year-old is recovering from a minor injury but says he's close to full fitness and eager to debut at the Vélodrome. 'I can't wait to play in front of these fans. It's going to be something special.' | – Reporting from Marseille.

Report – Inter Milan Could Move For Ex Man United Star If Lookman Pursuit Falls Through
Inter Milan could reportedly move for Marseille striker Mason Greenwood if their pursuit of Ademola Lookman falls through. This according to today's print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, via FCInterNews. Inter Milan's pursuit of Atalanta forward Ademola Lookman has certainly been encountering difficulties. The Nerazuzrri have had two offers rejected for the 27-year-old Nigerian international. And they are not sure how much higher they'll have to go after La Dea turned down €45 million including add-ons. Therefore, Inter are looking around at other possible targets to bolster their attack if they're unable to sign Lookman. Tim Weah move to Marseille from Juventus nears completion: Source
Juventus and Olympique de Marseille have come to an agreement on the transfer of U.S. men's national team winger Tim Weah, a source confirmed to The Athletic. Weah, 25, is expected to move to Marseille on loan with an obligation to buy. The news was first reported by Fabrizio Romano. A source said the deal is in place, but some final details remain between Juventus and Weah before the deal can be completed. Advertisement The move would end a somewhat dramatic summer window for Weah, who first turned down a move to Nottingham Forest and then saw his agent, Badou Sambague, engage in a public back-and-forth with Juventus over how they handled the window and were slowing a move to Marseille. 'Juve is a fantastic club,' Sambague said in a statement. 'The sporting department is managed by three persons. Two have class, and another is still searching himself [sic]. We cannot blame him. Two are looking for solutions, and one is creating problems. And we can't let that go. Tim Weah, is always professional, was left out during the [Club] World Cup. This person botched his [Club] World Cup, tried to force him to go where he wanted. Today, as revenge, he's demanding a fortune and waiting for a Premier League offer that won't come and will never be approved by us. 'These are old-fashioned methods that won't sit well with me. I'm not used to speaking out, but not doing so today would be accepting the unacceptable and total disrespect. Class can't be bought for a manager, that's for sure, but it has always been part of the history of Juventus. One person is undermining that. Let's see…' Juventus general manager Damien Comolli responded last week, saying that an adequate offer had not yet arrived and that Weah couldn't just hand-pick his next destination. Nevertheless, it appears Weah is getting his preferred choice entering a pivotal season. He is expected to start for the U.S. at the World Cup next summer, and coach Mauricio Pochettino will surely be glad to see the winger move to a Champions League-bound club where he can get consistent playing time. Weah has found success in Ligue 1 before, playing for both PSG and Lille. Marseille finished second to PSG in the Ligue 1 table last season and is managed by Roberto De Zerbi. Weah's departure would see him end a club partnership with U.S. teammate Weston McKennie. His good friend and former Lille teammate, Canada star Jonathan David, had just joined Juventus this summer as well.
