Remember Monday star's heartbreak after losing wedding ring at Eurovision final

Daily Mirror18-05-2025
The Eurovision Song Contest saw the UK's Remember Monday perform their song, What The Hell Just Happened?, which only received 88 points
Remember Monday put in a mighty performance at last night's final of the Eurovision Song Contest, but placed 19th with only 88 points from the national juries. One of the members of the three-person group revealed she lost her wedding ring but didn't share whether it happened during the performance.
Singer Holly-Anne Hull took to her Instagram on Sunday to share a video of the group sitting on a plane as they left Basel. "I've lost my wedding ring and my engagement ring," Holly-Anne Hull said in the video, but she didn't give further details to her followers on what happened.

Holly-Anne tied the knot in the summer of 2023 in Surrey. In the video, the group said they were still wearing last night's hair gel and added that their knees hurt.
"I'm gonna have a breakdown 'cause I've lost my wedding ring," she said. Lauren Byrne added how the group were "so grateful" for their fans while Charlotte Steele said their fans were "amazing".
While the girl group managed to climb to 19th place with 88 points from the jury vote, they were left gutted after being handed absolutely nothing from those watching at home during Saturday night's final.
However, they recently vowed that "this is just the beginning" as they spoke out on Sunday morning.
They said in a statement to the Mirror: "WOW - what a ride! Three best mates walked onto the world 's biggest music stage and came out with a Top 10 Jury score, massive streaming numbers, and memories that will last a lifetime.

"Performing at Eurovision was one of the most surreal and emotional moments of our lives. The love we've felt from fans, our incredible team, and everyone who streamed, voted, and believed in us has been overwhelming.
"This is just the beginning for Remember Monday. We've got new music coming your way, a UK & Ireland headline tour this year, a summer packed with festivals, and we'll be hitting the stage at Wembley Stadium for the Summertime Ball… no big deal!
"We're so grateful for the platform, the media support, and every single new fan who's joined us on this wild journey. Eurovision? Completed it. Let's go! Charlotte, Holly and Lauren x."

Over on Twitter, viewers were picking up on the West End vibes the girls gave off.
'Say all you want about this song being just a random West End number, you cannot deny that Remember Monday's chemistry together on stage is immaculate,' one wrote. 'They really look like they're having the time of their lives on the #eurovision stage!'

Buckingham Palace forced to remove Princess Anne birthday post after major family gaffe

To celebrate the Princess Anne's 75th birthday, Buckingham Palace shared a tribute to the hard-working royal, only for the post to quickly be deleted Buckingham Palace has been left red-faced after a birthday tribute to Princess Anne didn't go according to plan. The Palace had released a list of 75 facts about the Princess Royal in honour of her upcoming 75th birthday on tomorrow. ‌ However, one so-called fact caused quite a stir among Royal enthusiasts, leading to the entire post being removed. ‌ The contentious point was number fourteen on the list, which claimed that Anne, King Charles ' sister, had two stepchildren from her second marriage to Vice Admiral Sir Timothy Laurence. The Palace even named these supposed stepchildren as Tom and Amy Laurence. It comes after Kate halted her summer break to release new video with emotional statement. ‌ This information was quickly debunked by eagle-eyed fans who pointed out that Sir Tim, a retired Royal Navy officer, had not been previously married before tying the knot with Princess Anne in December 1992. Furthermore, there has never been any mention of him having children from a previous relationship. Anne herself has two children, Zara Tindall and Peter Phillips, from her first marriage to Captain Mark Phillips. Despite the Palace removing the page from its website, it still appears on Google, and the tweet has also been deleted, reports the Express One user who noticed the mistake commented: "#14 Tom and Amy Laurence? Either I've gone crazy or Sir Tim Laurence has secret children." They added: "Pretty sure this is an error, but how did that happen? I can't think of any Tom & Amy siblings in the extended royal family." Another chimed in with: "That would be the best hidden royal secret ever." A third person disputed: "This is not true. Sir Tim does not have children from a previous relationship." ‌ A fourth individual queried: "That is so odd? Could it be an AI mistake? Someone at BP made that list with chatgpt but didn't check it? Otherwise that would be one heck of a plot twist." A fifth person simply exclaimed: "Wild." Ahead of her milestone birthday, Princess Anne has been praised by charity figure heads she has long worked with, as well as the royal family, for her unwavering dedication to the Firm and lifetime of service.

He became the sixth contestant to join this year's cast, after EastEnders ' Balvinder Sopal was announced as a contestant on Good Morning Britain. ‌ The YouTuber and podcaster boasts 678k followers on Instagram, and is known for his podcast The Useless Hotline with Max Balegde. He's also built a thriving digital career with millions of followers across YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram.. ‌ "Never thought I'd say this… but I'm doing Strictly! Honestly, I've got no idea what I'm doing but I'm excited to get stuck in … and potentially fall over a fair bit," George said on joining the hit show. It comes after reports of all the celebrities rumoured to be joining BBC Strictly Come Dancing 2025. Speaking on Radio 1 George joked: "I feel like a lot of people will be saying who?" He then told the hosts it still "doesn't feel real". The YouTuber then told hosts Sam MacGregor and Danni Diston that he'd been keeping the secret for around two to three months – and had to put his plans of a marathon on hold for the show. Following the news that George is joining Strictly, his famous family ties have now been revealed. George is the son of his very successful father who is the main man behind one of the largest film productions companies in Britain. George's dad is none other than Sean Clarke, the managing director of Aardman Animations. The animation company are the mastermind behind Wallace and Gromit and Shaun the Sheep and Sean has worked his way up the company since 1998. ‌ Sean now oversees the entire company, managing the executive board and even co-producing several of its most successful films profiting along the way. He came on board in 1998 as Head of Consumer Products, one year before George was born, after serving as Disney's UK Licensing Director. ‌ At Aardman, his credits include co-executive producer roles on Early Man, both Shaun the Sheep films, and the musical short Robin Robin. Meanwhile, self-proclaimed nepo baby George keeps the family connection alive, naming his pet mouse Gromit and makes film references throughout his TikToks. George's TikTok account dates back six years but he has spoken about how one particular series on his page in 2021 led to the biggest increase in followers. It showed him trying to figure out the cause of a "beeping noise" in his garage, with the first of those videos now having 2.4 million views. ‌ Speaking about the impact of it, he said in an interview for AwayDays that was released on YouTube earlier this year: "People for some reason just lapped it up." George said that he got 250,000 followers in a week from the first video. He shared that his parents had been prepared to support him, even before that success, whilst he pursued a career as a content creator after leaving university. He said: "At that point of my life, I don't really know what I was doing." ‌ George, who said that he hadn't shared his TikTok page with family initially, recalled his dad finding his account years ago. He said that they then had a conversation about it, which included him receiving the blessing of his parents over it. In the interview uploaded earlier this year, George said he was told that his parents had noticed he was "doing quite well" on TikTok and recalled his dad saying to him: "We'll happily support you if you keeps going up. Obviously if it starts to tail off you need to finish yourself a job." George said that he filmed the beep series some time after that. ‌ His content on the platform now ranges from comedy skits to promotional posts for brands. He also collaborates with fellow content creators like Arthur Hill, Isaac Smith, better known as ItalianBach, and ArthurTV's Arthur Frederick. And earlier this year, George, who has 600,000 subscribers on his own YouTube channel, appeared on the second series of the competition Inside, launched by the Sidemen. The Netflix show invited content creators to take on a series of challenges.

At-home laser device Sabrina Carpenter never travels without for ‘younger looking' skin

Sabrina Carpenter recently gave fans a glimpse at some of her beauty and wellness essentials when travelling, and it includes this skin-rejuvenating tool loved by the A-listers Sabrina Carpenter is certainly having a busy year. Following on from her sell-out Short n' Sweet tour and and headlining London's BST Hyde Park in July, it has just been announced that she has also collaborated with Taylor Swift on the latter's surprise new album, which was announced on Wednesday. We're keen to know how the Espresso singer does it, and stays looking for fresh-faced and glowing with such a hectic schedule – and, after a quick browse of her Instagram feed, we think we've discovered the answer. Sabrina recently posted up a snap or her of herself sitting on a bed, with with a selection of items clearly visible on her bedside table – and one of these is instantly recognisable as the LYMA Laser PRO, a powerful handheld facial tool that delivers a number of rejuvenating benefits: LYMA says that with regular use, 'skin is dramatically transformed, wrinkles are radically improved, elasticity is restored, sagging is reversed, and pigmentation is faded.' The LYMA Lasers – of which there are two varieties, the original and Sabrina's newer, larger PRO – deliver high-tech cold laser technology to the skin to repair and renew it, tackling everything from wrinkles and sagging skin to pigmentation and breakouts. We knew that Sabrina was a fan of the LYMA before this as her facialist has used it on the star before red carpet events, such as the 2023 Oscars and this year's MET Gala. And she's not the A-lister obsessed with this handy tool. The LYMA's fan base is a who's who of Hollywood, including Gwyneth Paltrow, Rosie Huntington-Whitely, Sienna Miller and Naomi Harris. And it's available for us mere mortals to purchase too. While Sabrina's preferred extra-large LYMA Laser PRO costs an eye-watering £4,995, the original is a cheaper (although definitely not cheap) £1,999, with monthly payment options for both also available. Although certainly still a huge expense, it is at the cutting edge of home beauty tools, and may save you money on pricey professional facials in the long run. Other at-home skincare devices proving hugely popular at the moment are LED masks, which deliver different benefits to a laser tool – LED is more for soothing inflammation and boosting collagen production (red light), or killing acne-causing bacteria (blue light). One of the most frequently talked about is the Shark CryoGlow LED Mask, £299.99, with the CurrentBody LED Light Therapy Face Mask: Series 2, £399.99, and UKLASH LED Dual Light Pro-Therapy Face Mask, £199, also very highly rated. You can read our tried-and-tested reviews of LED masks here.
