Nick Frost Transforms into Hagrid in New Look at HBO's "Harry Potter" Series

Yara Sameh
Fresh off HBO's announcement that its upcoming 'Harry Potter' series has officially begun production — and the debut of newcomer Dominic McLaughlin as Harry Potter — the network has revealed the first image of Nick Frost as the lovable half-giant.
The 'Shaun of the Dead' and 'Hot Fuzz' actor follows in the footsteps of Robbie Coltrane, who played Hogwarts' gamekeeper and groundskeeper in all eight of the 'Harry Potter' films.

Production on Season 1 of the series began on Monday at Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden in the U.K. and is expected to last until the spring of 2026.
Alongside McLaughlin as Harry Potter, Arabella Stanton stars as Hermione Granger, and Alastair Stout as Ron Weasley.
The young golden trio were selected from more than 30,000 actors who auditioned in a casting call last fall.
The cast also includes John Lithgow as Albus Dumbledore, Janet McTeer as Minerva McGonagall, Paapa Essiedu as Severus Snape, Katherine Parkinson as Molly Weasley, Lox Pratt as Draco Malfoy, Johnny Flynn as Lucius Malfoy, Leo Earley as Seamus Finnigan, Alessia Leoni as Parvati Patil, Sienna Moosah as Lavender Brown, Bertie Carvel as Cornelius Fudge. Bel Powley as Petunia Dursley and Daniel Rigby as Vernon Dursley.
Additional names revealed on Monday were Rory Wilmot as Neville Longbottom, Amos Kitson as Dudley Dursley, Louise Brealey as Madam Rolanda Hooch, and Anton Lesser as Garrick Ollivander.
The series will debut in 2027 on HBO and HBO Max where available and is led by showrunner and writer Francesca Gardiner ('His Dark Materials,' 'Killing Eve') and director Mark Mylod ('Succession').
Gardiner and Mylod are executive producing alongside series author J.K. Rowling, Neil Blair and Ruth Kenley-Letts of Brontë Film and TV, and David Heyman of Heyday Films.
The 'Harry Potter' series is being made by HBO in association with Brontë Film and TV and Warner Bros. Television.

Iran Confirms Nahid-2 Satellite is Operational in Orbit

Yara Sameh The Iranian Space Agency (ISA) has confirmed successful communication with the newly launched Nahid-2 satellite, having received its initial telemetry signals. This is reported by the Mehr News Agency , a partner of TV BRICS. According to ISA chief Hossein Salariyeh, these signals indicate that the satellite is stable and functioning as intended in its designated orbit following its launch from Russia's Vostochny Cosmodrome on 25 July. Nahid-2 is a telecommunications satellite that utilises the Ku-band, commonly used for broadband connectivity across the globe. Salariyeh stated that post-launch efforts are now focused on systematically testing each subsystem to ensure optimal performance. The satellite, entirely designed and built domestically, is equipped with a range of features including secure data transmission, onboard storage, and direct communication with ground stations. Salariyeh also highlighted that the successful launch of Nahid-2 marks a significant step forward in Iran's space capabilities, noting that the development of the next-generation Nahid-3 satellite is already underway. read more UAE's Lunar Mission Delayed to Tomorrow Twitter Lifts Trump's Account Ban Scientists Find Evidence Of 10،000 Black Holes Surrounding The Center Of The Milky Way Galaxy Greenhouse In Antarctica Able To Grow Vegetables Without Soil Or Sunlight Moving Over China: U.S. Is Again Home to World's Speediest Supercomputer Technology The 10 most expensive cars in the world Technology Top 10 fastest cars in the world Technology Lasers Could Make Computers 1 Million Times Faster Technology Smart technology taking control of our lives News Israeli-Linked Hadassah Clinic in Moscow Treats Wounded Iranian IRGC Fighters Arts & Culture "Jurassic World Rebirth" Gets Streaming Date News China Launches Largest Ever Aircraft Carrier Videos & Features Tragedy Overshadows MC Alger Championship Celebration: One Fan Dead, 11 Injured After Stadium Fall Lifestyle Get to Know 2025 Eid Al Adha Prayer Times in Egypt Business Egyptian Pound Undervalued by 30%, Says Goldman Sachs Arts & Culture South Korean Actress Kang Seo-ha Dies at 31 after Cancer Battle Sports Get to Know 2025 WWE Evolution Results News "Tensions Escalate: Iran Probes Allegations of Indian Tech Collaboration with Israeli Intelligence" Arts & Culture Hawass Foundation Launches 1st Course to Teach Ancient Egyptian Language

Charli XCX, Husband George Daniel Share Wedding Photos

Yara Sameh Charli XCX has unveiled a slew of photos from her wedding with George Daniel of The 1975. The "Brat" star took to Instagram to share pictures from the July 19 ceremony, an intimate event attended by the couple's close friends and family at Hackney Town Hall in London. 'Did something,' Charli captioned the glimpse into the day she married George, adding the millennial-preferred version of a heart emoji to her post on Instagram: <3. Emoticon preference aside, the photos capture the newlyweds' in-love vibes amid their celebration of saying 'I do' last weekend. The first photo on the slideshow captures Charli's bridal look — made up of a Vivienne Westwood dress, a white bouquet and a pair of her signature sunglasses. The second photo has her husband winking at the camera with a cigarette at his lips. As one might expect, other photos document moments of romance, including the newlyweds kissing. The pair announced their engagement in July 2023, when Charli showed off her ring on social media and marked the milestone with the caption 'charli xcx and george daniel f—ing for life!!!'. Both artists recently played Glastonbury, with Daniel — drummer, producer and songwriter with The 1975, and a DJ — headlining the U.K. music festival with the band he's been with since his teen years. The 1975 had first billing on the fest's main Pyramid Stage on June 27, while Charli closing down the Other Stage the following night. Though he wasn't seen in pictures from the couple's London wedding ceremony, 1975 frontman Matty Healy hyped Charli's set during the Manchester group's career-spanning gig at Glasto, a performance that left him overcome with emotion. Mid-set, he gave his bandmate's then-fiancée a sweet shoutout in between songs: 'Give it up for Charli xcx. That's my best friend.' read more New Tourism Route To Launch in Old Cairo Ahmed El Sakka-Led Play 'Sayidati Al Jamila' to Be Staged in KSA on Dec. 6 Mandy Moore Joins Season 2 of "Dr. Death" Anthology Series Don't Miss These Movies at 44th Cairo Int'l Film Festival Today Amr Diab to Headline KSA's MDLBEAST Soundstorm 2022 Festival Arts & Culture Mai Omar Stuns in Latest Instagram Photos Arts & Culture "The Flash" to End with Season 9 Arts & Culture Ministry of Culture Organizes four day Children's Film Festival Arts & Culture Canadian PM wishes Muslims Eid-al-Adha News Israeli-Linked Hadassah Clinic in Moscow Treats Wounded Iranian IRGC Fighters Arts & Culture "Jurassic World Rebirth" Gets Streaming Date News China Launches Largest Ever Aircraft Carrier Videos & Features Tragedy Overshadows MC Alger Championship Celebration: One Fan Dead, 11 Injured After Stadium Fall Lifestyle Get to Know 2025 Eid Al Adha Prayer Times in Egypt Business Egyptian Pound Undervalued by 30%, Says Goldman Sachs Arts & Culture South Korean Actress Kang Seo-ha Dies at 31 after Cancer Battle Sports Get to Know 2025 WWE Evolution Results News "Tensions Escalate: Iran Probes Allegations of Indian Tech Collaboration with Israeli Intelligence" Arts & Culture Hawass Foundation Launches 1st Course to Teach Ancient Egyptian Language

'It' Prequel Series 'Welcome to Derry' Drops New Trailer

Yara Sameh 'It' prequel series, 'Welcome to Derry', is bringing everyone's favorite killer clown to the small screen later this year. The second teaser for the upcoming HBO series was unveiled Saturday night at a spooky late-night San Diego Comic-Con panel before it was released online Sunday. In the clip, viewers catch a glimpse of the panic that ensues as a nefarious force begins to creep its way into Derry, and children start disappearing. The footage primarily focuses on Taylour Paige, who plays a young woman who has just moved to Derry with her husband, when things start to go awry in the small town. Despite Bill Skarsgård's Pennywise briefly appearing at the end, his presence is felt throughout. Taking place in the world of Stephen King's IT universe, "Welcome to Derry" expands the vision established by filmmaker Andy Muschietti in the feature films, which amassed a combined $1.17 billion worldwide. Set 27 years before the events of the two 'It' movies, the show begins in the 1960s, in the time leading up to the events of 2017's 'It: Part One'. As the story goes, the murderous entity It feeds on children before hibernating for 27 years, so the show follows It's previous killing spree before the events of the 'It' films. 'Welcome to Derry' cast also includes Jovan Adepo, Chris Chalk, James Remar, Stephen Rider, Madeleine Stowe, and Rudy Mancuso. 'This is a book we love a lot, and we felt that there was still a lot of story to be covered,' Andy Muschietti and his sister and producing partner Barbara Muschietti said in a previous statement. 'It's so rich with characters and events, we thought we would do justice to the book and the fans by going back into this world. Specifically, we are telling the stories of the interludes, writings by Mike Hanlon based on his investigation that includes interviews he conducts with the older people in the town. In Welcome to Derry, we touch on the usual themes that were talked about in the movie — friendship, loss, the power of unified belief — but this story focuses also on the use of fear as a weapon, which is one of the things that is also relevant to our times.' 'Welcome to Derry' is produced by HBO and Warner Bros. Television, with a story by Andy Muschietti, Barbara Muschietti and Jason Fuchs. They executive produce alongside Brad Caleb Kane, David Coatsworth, Bill Skarsgård, Shelley Meals, Roy Lee, and Dan Lin. Fuchs, who wrote the teleplay for the first episode, is a co-showrunner with Kane. The series was developed for television by "It" filmmakers Andy Muschietti and Barbara Muschietti, as well as Jason Fuchs. Muschietti, who directed 'It: Part One' and 2019's 'It: Part Two', is attached to executive produce the series along with Barbara Muschietti and Jason Fuchs. Fuchs is writing the first episode of the series, based on a story by him and the Muschiettis. Andy will also direct multiple episodes, including the first. Fuchs and Brad Caleb Kane serve as co-showrunners and executive producers, with the Muschiettis also executive producing via their Double Dream production company. Shelley Meals, Roy Lee, and Dan Lin also executive produce. The series is produced by HBO Max and Warner Bros. Television. 'It' was previously adapted into a two-part miniseries for ABC back in 1990, featuring Tim Curry as Pennywise. 'Welcome to Derry' will debut on HBO and will be available to stream on HBO Max in October. read more New Tourism Route To Launch in Old Cairo Ahmed El Sakka-Led Play 'Sayidati Al Jamila' to Be Staged in KSA on Dec. 6 Mandy Moore Joins Season 2 of "Dr. Death" Anthology Series Don't Miss These Movies at 44th Cairo Int'l Film Festival Today Amr Diab to Headline KSA's MDLBEAST Soundstorm 2022 Festival Arts & Culture Mai Omar Stuns in Latest Instagram Photos Arts & Culture "The Flash" to End with Season 9 Arts & Culture Ministry of Culture Organizes four day Children's Film Festival Arts & Culture Canadian PM wishes Muslims Eid-al-Adha News Israeli-Linked Hadassah Clinic in Moscow Treats Wounded Iranian IRGC Fighters Arts & Culture "Jurassic World Rebirth" Gets Streaming Date News China Launches Largest Ever Aircraft Carrier Videos & Features Tragedy Overshadows MC Alger Championship Celebration: One Fan Dead, 11 Injured After Stadium Fall Lifestyle Get to Know 2025 Eid Al Adha Prayer Times in Egypt Business Egyptian Pound Undervalued by 30%, Says Goldman Sachs Arts & Culture South Korean Actress Kang Seo-ha Dies at 31 after Cancer Battle Sports Get to Know 2025 WWE Evolution Results News "Tensions Escalate: Iran Probes Allegations of Indian Tech Collaboration with Israeli Intelligence" Arts & Culture Hawass Foundation Launches 1st Course to Teach Ancient Egyptian Language
