Amazon knocks £87 off Braun electric shaver that gives 'great shave every time'

Daily Record3 days ago
The Braun Series 5 currently has a 58% discount on Amazon
For some men, there is nothing more important than nailing a shave, whether that's a smooth close trim or ensuring a tidy beard or moustache. Naturally, this means they are after products that won't leave them with cuts and bumps due to a bad blade, such as the Braun Series 5 Electric Shaver for Men that's currently on sale at Amazon.
Shaving can be quite a tiresome task that many will dread, but judging by the reviews for the Braun gadget, it may help users actually enjoy the process. Plenty of shoppers are now willing to spend a little more money on a home kit that ensures a quality result every time.
However, now they don't have to break the bank to get the desired results, as the Braun electric shaver is currently available on Amazon for £62.99 down from £149.99. This is an ideal choice for those who want a clean and precise shave as it adapts to individual contours on the face for a close shave.
The shaver also has AutoSense technology which means it can automatically read and adapt to beard density, giving users a personalised and individual experience. With the choice of three blades, it is also 100% waterproof and can be used in both wet or dry conditions.
If it's not the beard and face customers are looking to shave, the gadget comes with a body groomer attachment giving the option to go beyond the face and have a full body shave. Shoppers don't need to worry about the shaver turning off or dying mid way through as it has a battery life of up to three weeks and 50 minutes of shaving each time on a single charge. It is also cordless, so it can be taken anywhere without the need for available socket space.
For some alternatives, buyers could instead try the Philips Wet & Dry Electric Shower Series 300 for £54.99 from Boots. This has an integrated pop-up trimmer, up to one hour use from a single charge and is said to provide 55,000 cutting actions per minute.
Another option is the Wahl Cord/Cordless Hair Clipper for £17.59 from Debenhams. This option features high carbon steel blades which are said to stay sharper for longer - offering customers longevity with their purchase.
The Braun Series 5 Electric Shaver for Men has a high 4.2 out of five star-rating on Amazon. One person said: "I bought this rechargeable razor to replace one of the exact make and model, which I have been using for some years. Great shave every time and holds its charge very well, with fast charging when needed.
"I highly recommend this razor. Oh and I should add that my first razor is still working perfectly and I keep it for use at my girlfriend's house!"
Another happy buyer commented: "Great razor. No need to spend any more." Someone else wrote: "Bought at a good price. Pleased with the closeness of shave."
Shavers aren't going to be for everyone, and others did disagree, with one person saying: "Razor ok but cannot understand why there's no case. For this reason I wouldn't buy again." Another wrote: "It took three times longer than my wet razor."
In contrast, someone else left a glowing five-star review: "This Braun S5 is one of the best razors I have ever had. I am in my late 70s and have quite a tough bristly stubble every day but three minutes every morning with the S5 (dry shave) gets rid of the lot, no stray hairs or little bristles left just a smooth face.
"Very comfortable to use and very low noise. Battery life is looking good so far. Highly recommended."
The Braun Series 5 Electric Shaver for Men is available from Amazon.

Amazon Autos Is Selling New And Used Cars That Aren't All Hyundais

By signing up I agree to the Terms of Use and acknowledge that I have read the Privacy Policy . You may unsubscribe from email communication at anytime. A Long Time Coming Nearly nine years ago, this publication reported on a collaboration between Amazon and Hyundai, where the former would deliver the latter's Elantras to customers for short test drives. In November 2023, the pair announced that they would begin selling cars directly to the public on the e-commerce platform, which began in December 2024, and in March this year, Fan Jin, director of Amazon Autos, said that the company was exploring used car sales. Now, the company is ready to dip a toe into the market, and not just with Hyundai cars, either. According to an announcement by Amazon this week, dealers can now list their used vehicle inventory on the site. Amazon Autos Will Be Available Across The Country Amazon says that it has used and certified pre-owned vehicles now available in Los Angeles, with more cities to be added in the coming months, thanks to participating dealers being listed in more than 130 cities across the country. However, customers will only be shown listings available within a 75-mile radius of their location to minimize hassle for them and the dealers they're in contact with. The filter can also be refined to 50- or 25-mile radii. To begin with, customers' choices will be limited to Hyundai dealers, but more are expected to be added soon. The initiative aims to attract customers with the promise of no hidden fees and a comprehensive report of each listed vehicle's history. Customers can also schedule test drives with participating dealerships online, and after purchase, a three-day/300-mile return policy is complemented by a minimum 30-day/1,000-mile limited warranty on each car. What You Can Find Head over to the Amazon Autos website, and you can lease or purchase a Palisade, Kona, Tucson, Santa Fe, Sonata, or just about anything else you could find on a Hyundai website, including EVs (besides the Ioniq 5 N, which will be added soon but can already be purchased used). Jeep, BMW, and Ram vehicles can be found, but oddly, one of the images Amazon Auto used to advertise this new used car marketplace is of a Lada Vesta SW Cross, a Russian-made family car that is not nor ever was sold in America. Weird. Perhaps American-made cars don't look affordable enough. Source: Hyundai About the Author Sebastian Cenizo View Profile

Samsung's £35 gadget that helps you find lost items now £11

Samsung's £35 gadget that helps you find lost items now £11 "So handy to be able to locate your car keys when you're off to work in the morning" The Samsung Galaxy SmartTag2 Bluetooth Tracker is now £11.90 down from its original price of £34.99 (Image: Amazon ) No one enjoys the panic that ensues when something crucial - like car keys, a passport or a wallet - goes missing. However, with Bluetooth tracking technology, it's now simpler than ever to avoid that sinking feeling and keep track of belongings at all times. Smart tags for possessions are gaining popularity, and many view them as a necessity. They can be expensive, and some are more reliable than others, so it's vital for purchasers to ensure they're making the right choice. Amazon has slashed the price of the Samsung Galaxy SmartTag 2 Bluetooth Tracker to £11.90 from its original £34.99. READ MORE: Shark 'easy to use' vacuum has 40% off for a limited-time only on Amazon LATEST: Amazon's £48 drink trolley hailed as 'most beautiful addition' to home now £30 The Bluetooth tracker is available in black and can be attached to anything from keys to suitcases, bicycles and even cars if necessary. It boasts GPS features, and all customers need to do is register their tag to their smartphone and activate the 'search nearby' feature. If that doesn't yield results, they can use the 'ring your tag' function, which will cause the tracker to emit an audible signal so users can locate it. The tag also boasts an extended battery life - up to 500 days - and is IP67 dust and water resistant, ensuring customers don't have to fret about it failing outdoors in damp conditions, reports the Express. If the Samsung Galaxy SmartTag doesn't tick all the boxes, there are other options available. For instance, the Apple AirTag, priced at £29 from Argos, can be attached to keys, backpacks, luggage or wallets and can guide customers to their lost items. Another alternative is the Motorola Moto Tag Bluetooth Item Finder, available for £29.99 from John Lewis, which can be attached to personal belongings and, when paired with an Android phone, can locate anything with pinpoint accuracy. The Samsung Galaxy SmartTag has received a high rating of 4.3 out of 5 stars on Amazon. One customer commented: "So handy to be able to locate your car keys when you're off to work in the morning. Certainly a useful gadget and has saved me so much time." Another user wrote: "Works great, easy to set up, connects to smart things, it's light, good size and accurate. Works by picking up signal from nearby/passing Samsung phones and pings from that location so you know where it was last, not necessarily where it is. "I'm really impressed with this tracker, it was simple to set up and worked reliably in showing my motorcycle's location on a recent two week trip around Europe. Great value for money and so many potential applications!" another customer praised. However, some users expressed disappointment with the tracker. One said: "Lack of features in some sense, would be useful to have notifications if the tag moved when you're not nearby it. Article continues below "It won't show my home address and insists that my keys are in my neighbour's house. It also said I was in a nearby town when I was on the motorway," another user reported.
