5-star OT Immanuel Iheanacho reacts to Oregon Ducks' commitment from Tank Jones
It didn't take long for Iheanacho to get the fans riled up, posting on July 13 that the Ducks "got another one" and that a top-5 ranked recruiting class was incoming.
That sort of tease got fans talking pretty quickly. Who was Iheanacho referring to, and how quickly would the news come out? Well, it took a few weeks, but on Thursday, the announcement finally came that 5-star EDGE Anthony 'Tank' Jones was committing to the Ducks, choosing Oregon over the Alabama Crimson Tide and Texas A&M Aggies.
Jones is rated as the No. 18 player in the class, and the No. 4 EDGE, pushing the Ducks up to No. 8 in the recruiting rankings, per 247Sports, and No. 6 according to On3/Rivals.
While it may not technically be a top-5 class just yet, Iheanacho was fired up about the announcement at long last.
Iheanacho posted a video on his Instagram story, celebrating in the weight room and saying that he was "lit" after his lift upon hearing the news about Tank.
"You already know, Tank's going to the Ducks," Iheanacho said. "Sco Ducks!"
This excitement was felt by the Oregon fanbase, many of whom took to social media to celebrate boisterously following the addition of their fourth 5-star player in the class, which now ties Alabama for the most in the nation this cycle.
The celebration isn't expected to end soon, either. On Saturday, both 4-star CB Davon Benjamin and 4-star DL Deuce Geralds are also scheduled to announce their commitments, with both expected to pick the Ducks in the end. We will see what Iheanacho has planned for those announcements down the road.

Oregon Ducks announce new 'Under Construction' fall camp documentary series for 2025
Back in December of 2024, the Oregon Ducks announced themselves as one of the best teams in the Big Ten Conference, defeating the Penn State Nittany Lions in the conference championship game. A few months before that, though, they let everyone know that they were coming. How? By simply declaring themselves as "That Team Out West." With a fall camp documentary series, the Ducks went viral, stoking some flames in the conference with their videos of behind-the-scenes developments in the program and close looks at the players through fall camp, much like we see every year in the NFL with HBO's Hard Knocks. Oregon announced on Tuesday that it will be running it back, too, this time with a new theme. "2025 Fall Camp: Under Construction" is set to release online this coming Thursday, August 7. The trailer for the series delves into the construction taking place at the Oregon practice facilities this summer as the Ducks build their new 170,000-square-foot indoor practice facility. A year ago, it was notable Oregon alum Ty Burrell who narrated every episode for the Ducks. We will see who they got to do the job this time around, but if the 2024 series is any indication, Oregon fans should be excited for the product that the video team produces later this week and over the next month. Oregon Ducks' week 1 opponent ranked No. 2 in preseason FCS top 25
In just a few short weeks, the Oregon Ducks will soar into battle for their first action of the 2025 season. The upcoming season-long campaign could be their most challenging under head coach Dan Lanning as they attempt to navigate losing a variety of players to the NFL Draft and the transfer portal. Thankfully, the Ducks have also acquired a sizeable group of players to replace the departed talent. The reigning Big Ten champions have a favorable schedule this season, but they will get a nice test in their first game. Oregon will face off against the Montana State Bobcats, who are soaring up the rankings after a wildly impressive 15-1 record last year. They came in at No. 2 on the preseason list of the top 25 FCS teams. It's been an impressive run to respectability for the Bobcats as they land just behind the team that beat them in the FCS Championship Game, the North Dakota State Bison. The Ducks are clearly the better team, but Montana State is no pushover. If Oregon shows up to the game overconfident and underprepared, they could find themselves in an unexpected battle to kick off the season.
