Princess Andre ‘thought she'd be killed' with mum Katie during carjacking
Princess Andre has recounted the frightening moment she thought she was going to die during a carjacking in South Africa.
The 18-year-old social media influencer is getting candid about the tough experiences she has had in life in her new ITV reality show, The Princess Diaries, and this has included a difficult trip down memory lane.
Daughter of Katie Price and Peter Andre, she has grown up in the spotlight for better or for worse.
In 2018, the then-10-year-old and her mother were driving with a film crew between Johannesburg to Swaziland for another reality show, My Crazy Life, when they were held at gunpoint by six men.
The mother-of-five has been honest about the trauma she endured after the terrifying ordeal over the years, but this is the first time Princess has properly spoken about her side of the story.
Recalling the moment on her new show, she said: 'I just remember the noise, oh my God it was disgusting.
'This guy had a baseball bat and he started smashing the window.'
Remembering that the thugs had asked Price to 'hand over her children', the young reality star added: 'I looked out the window and I remember it not feeling real, and the guy was just staring into my soul.
'Then they were like 'we've got guns, we're going to shoot you'.
'My mum… the guys were like touching up my mum, which is disgusting, and she was like 'just f**off my kids, don't touch my kids'.
'I think they wanted me because of my blonde hair and blue eyes cause they said 'give me your kids'. Imagine hearing that at like 10 years old.
'After the hijack happened, the police said it was a miracle that we survived. It is the scariest thing I have ever been put through.
'In that moment I genuinely thought I was going to get kidnapped and die,' she emotionally concluded.
Speaking with her brother, Junior, she said about 'a lot of those traumas are still there' and she has learnt to deal with them.
In 2022, Price, 47, revealed that she had been sexually assaulted at gunpoint.
She explained: 'We had no security, if we had security they would have been able to deal with the six guys that jumped us, held me at gunpoint and raped me.' More Trending
In an interview with MailOnline at the time, she added that she had contemplated suicide due to the impact of the incident.
'I hit severe depression a couple of years ago, depression on top of PTSD, I was suicidal, didn't want to be here. I tried to kill myself.
'I knocked myself out and had black eyes. I had bruises around my neck. I woke up. I didn't want to be here,' she said.

I was completely charmed by the celebrity couple last year when I interviewed them for the first season of the long-awaited UK spin-off of one of Netflix's most popular reality shows. They were endearingly nervous about their debut as a married couple helming a show about finding love, shared playful quips about what to order for lunch and had a quiet confidence that proved their real-life and on-screen chemistry. When I met up with them again this year for Metro to discuss season 2, which launches today, the nerves had evaporated, but all the charm had, happily, stayed. For those not in the know, the premise of the hit reality show is all about proving that lasting love is so much more than skin deep. So, 30 people ready for marriage date each other in 'pods' for a week, getting to know each other from behind a wall without seeing each other, and the lucky couples who make a connection get engaged. By the end of the experiment, after meeting one another in the flesh and spending time together in the outside world, they must decide whether they will say 'I do' at the altar. Throughout the process, our trusty co-hosts jet in and out to guide them through from one stage to the next. As we kick off our chat about their return, the 17 years of marriage between the Big Brother presenter and Busted star shines through when I point out their matching blue clothes. 'Last year, we were quite nervous. This year, we were much more relaxed,' Emma says about returning to the show. They were well aware of the tough task ahead of them when launching the latest spin-off (there are currently eight international versions). 'We really wanted the UK one to be as good as all of the others and I think it surpassed our expectations, because it had everything. 'It had heart, it had a very British sense of humour,' the TV host adds, with hopes that season two meets the high standard season one set for fans. The British power couple, who share three children, have had their ups and downs over the years, but if hosting Love Is Blind has made them 'grateful' for one thing, it is that they met in the early 2000s before online dating took off. 'The one thing I've taken [from hosting the show] – and it's not so much a reflection on our relationship, but a reflection on the world of dating generally – is, I'm really glad I'm not single,' Emma says. 'I wouldn't want to be on dating apps. I know a lot of people on them, and they just moan about them all the time. I think I'd get so frustrated with doing everything on a device.' The idea of meeting organically (a more and more foreign concept for Gen Z) is what attracted them to this show in the first place. 'I think that is a whole world better than trying to navigate [the] beginning of a relationship through a phone, which must be so difficult,' Emma adds. Matt agrees: 'Absolutely, I think messages can get so misconstrued.' When I ask them about their dating app green and red flags, we briefly go on a side tangent about the turn-off factor of posting a photo of yourself holding a fish (it's a whole thing) to a completely baffled Emma. As such, Matt decides a fish picture 'doesn't sound cool' while Emma ponders hers would 'probably be an overly posed picture'. 'I think if it were someone in a pair of shorts and nothing else… I'm getting the ick just thinking about it,' she jokes. So, naturally, I ask if the show had been around when they were single, would they have gone on it – and their answers explained a lot about why they are such a perfect fit. 'I don't know if I could get married after six weeks because I'm a chronic overthinker and I like to know everything,' she admits with a wry smile. Matt, on the other hand, is ready to leap headfirst, joking, 'I could. I'd be like, 'Let's do it.'' He shares: 'I think it'd be really fun to see what that experience is like, talking to someone and doing the experiment. I think it'd be such an exciting thing to do.' Lucky for them, neither has to worry about getting hitched to a near-stranger in six weeks or navigating the treacherous world of Tinder. They'll happily watch on, however. Season one saw plenty of highs and lows, with fan-favourite couple Bobby and Jasmine recently announcing they're expecting their first child. It's clear both Emma and Matt are delighted, with the former recalling that the loved-up pair were 'hook, line and sinker from the beginning', and she could tell they were 'totally smitten' right up to the reunion. Matt adds he's 'so stoked for them'. Of course, the premiere season also included some controversial characters, not least Sam, who was briefly engaged to Nicole (now married to Benaiah), who became the latest 'toxic' reality TV man to spark concerned fan discourse. Viewers can expect different things from the new episodes, Emma teases. 'I think they're a really likeable cast. There's not really any divisive characters, I don't think. Obviously, Sam last year was quite a divisive character. I don't think we have a Sam,' she says. Love Is Blind marks the latest show the pair have jointly tackled in recent years, in addition to their candid therapy docuseries, Change Your Mind, Change Your Life. While working together might be out of the question for some couples, that's not the case for these two. Matt explains: '[I love] everything about [my] job, but then I always have to be away from Emma, away from the family. So the chance to work with her is brilliant. 'I've always been jealous of her job. I've been in a sweaty tour bus with stinky boys. This is way more fun, got a glam squad now, love it.' As for what's next, Emma is clearly enthusiastic about the future of their professional partnership, saying they're ready to do 'eight more seasons' of Love Is Blind. But they have other ideas brewing as well. 'I'd like to do something adventurous. I don't know if it's a travel show – just some kind of adventure. I love shows like Race Across the World. I think that's so much fun, but there's a point to it,' Emma says. More Trending As in sync as ever, Matt agrees. Who knows what's next for this dynamic duo, who are proving themselves to be a formidable force on British reality TV. For now, however, they have a brand new cohort of unlucky-in-love singles to welcome to the pods. So, let the blush-inducing courtship commence. Hollywood star hosting 'new game show which has become a global success is set to come to ITV'
ITV is reportedly lining up a brand-new quiz show for its Saturday night schedule - and it's already a global hit. Titled The Floor, it has taken television by storm in more than 20 countries, with Hollywood actor Rob Lowe fronting the American edition. The UK will become the format's 25th stop when it launches next year, according to The Sun. Producers are staying tight-lipped about who will present the British version, but ITV bosses promise it will be a high-energy addition to their entertainment slate. 'The Floor, with its compelling gameplay, is an excellent addition to our roster of popular quiz shows across ITV and ITVX,' Katie Rawcliffe, the network's Director of Entertainment told the publication. DailyMail has approached ITV for further comment. Originally created in the Netherlands, The Floor pits 81 trivia enthusiasts against one another in head-to-head battles on a massive LED floor. Each of its 81 squares represents a unique category of knowledge, making every duel a test of both brains and nerve. The format has already proved a smash hit in countries such as Australia, Poland, and Spain, with recent launches in Estonia and Latvia further expanding its reach. Over in the US, it has enjoyed three successful seasons, with Rob's star power signalling the network's early faith in the concept. That gamble paid off as broadcaster Fox has now commissioned two additional seasons, securing the American edition through 2027. Rob rose to fame in the 1980s as part of the 'Brat Pack,' starring in films like The Outsiders and St. Elmo's Fire. He has since built a long career in TV, with notable roles in The West Wing and 9-1-1: Lone Star. More recently, Rob has been busy hosting the podcast Literally! With Rob Lowe, where he regularly welcomes A-list guests including Adam Scott, Jason Isaac, and Kristin Davis. In June, Rob shared vivid memories of his grandmother Mim's battle with breast cancer. The actor shared a close bond with his grandmother during his childhood, and has said his grandma's health fight became a pivotal experience that would shape his life and the way he approaches cancer awareness today. He told People: 'My memory of it is like it happened yesterday because of this sort of uproar it caused in our family. In those days, the odds were not good. I 100 percent remember our family feeling lost, wishing that there was more that could be done.' Rob affectionately refers to his grandmother as 'my beloved,' and recounts the profound impact her illness had on their family. As Mim's condition worsened, doctors told her to 'get her affairs in order' in a grim diagnosis that devastated the family. But just as it seemed there were no options left, Mim's fate took a dramatic turn when she was accepted into a clinical trial for breast cancer treatments. Rob also explained how the clinical trial changed everything for his grandmother, saying: 'There were multiple times where she had run out of options and just at that moment there was a clinical trial (that) changed the course of her cancer journey.' Mim's survival story became a beacon of hope for Rob and his family. The actor said: 'She survived and thrived longer than anyone with her type of cancer in those days.' He added Mim's success in the trial not only defied the odds but also paved the way for treatments that would later become standard care. Breast cancer is one of the most common cancers in the world and affects more than two MILLION women a year Breast cancer is one of the most common cancers in the world. Each year in the UK there are more than 55,000 new cases, and the disease claims the lives of 11,500 women. In the US, it strikes 266,000 each year and kills 40,000. But what causes it and how can it be treated? What is breast cancer? It comes from a cancerous cell which develops in the lining of a duct or lobule in one of the breasts. When the breast cancer has spread into surrounding tissue it is called 'invasive'. Some people are diagnosed with 'carcinoma in situ', where no cancer cells have grown beyond the duct or lobule. Most cases develop in those over the age of 50 but younger women are sometimes affected. Breast cancer can develop in men, though this is rare. Staging indicates how big the cancer is and whether it has spread. Stage 1 is the earliest stage and stage 4 means the cancer has spread to another part of the body. The cancerous cells are graded from low, which means a slow growth, to high, which is fast-growing. High-grade cancers are more likely to come back after they have first been treated. What causes breast cancer? A cancerous tumour starts from one abnormal cell. The exact reason why a cell becomes cancerous is unclear. It is thought that something damages or alters certain genes in the cell. This makes the cell abnormal and multiply 'out of control'. Although breast cancer can develop for no apparent reason, there are some risk factors that can increase the chance, such as genetics. What are the symptoms of breast cancer? The usual first symptom is a painless lump in the breast, although most are not cancerous and are fluid filled cysts, which are benign. The first place that breast cancer usually spreads to is the lymph nodes in the armpit. If this occurs you will develop a swelling or lump in an armpit. How is breast cancer diagnosed? Initial assessment: A doctor examines the breasts and armpits. They may do tests such as a mammography, a special x-ray of the breast tissue which can indicate the possibility of tumours. Biopsy: A biopsy is when a small sample of tissue is removed from a part of the body. The sample is then examined under a microscope to look for abnormal cells. The sample can confirm or rule out cancer. If you are confirmed to have breast cancer, further tests may be needed to assess if it has spread. For example, blood tests, an ultrasound scan of the liver or a chest X-ray. How is breast cancer treated? Treatment options which may be considered include surgery, chemotherapy, radiotherapy and hormone treatment. Often a combination of two or more of these treatments are used. Surgery: Breast-conserving surgery or the removal of the affected breast depending on the size of the tumour. Radiotherapy: A treatment which uses high energy beams of radiation focused on cancerous tissue. This kills cancer cells, or stops them from multiplying. It is mainly used in addition to surgery. Chemotherapy: A treatment of cancer by using anti-cancer drugs which kill cancer cells, or stop them from multiplying. Hormone treatments: Some types of breast cancer are affected by the 'female' hormone oestrogen, which can stimulate the cancer cells to divide and multiply. Treatments which reduce the level of these hormones, or prevent them from working, are commonly used in people with breast cancer. How successful is treatment? The outlook is best in those who are diagnosed when the cancer is still small, and has not spread. Surgical removal of a tumour in an early stage may then give a good chance of cure. The routine mammography offered to women between the ages of 50 and 71 means more breast cancers are being diagnosed and treated at an early stage.

Ozzy Osbourne 'was having fun' with daughter Kelly in poignant moment at funeral
Metallica bassist Robert Trujillo has shared his reflections on iconic Black Sabbath frontman Ozzy Osbourne's funeral. Last month the musician – whose real name was John Osbourne – died aged 76 following a long period of living with Parkinson's and other health problems. His death certificate listed his cause of death as 'acute myocardial infarction' and 'out of hospital cardiac arrest'. Osbourne's funeral was held the following week, with an emotional funeral procession through the streets of Birmingham where his widow, Sharon Osbourne, was seen sobbing alongside their children. In a private service, Osbourne was buried on the grounds of his mansion and Trujillo has now said he believes the late rocker was 'having fun' during the funeral. The Metallica bassist was among the attendees at his late friend's private farewell service earlier this month and he reflected on the extreme weather changes throughout the day – including a sudden gust of wind that swept through as Kelly Osbourne sang for those gathered. Trujillo, who was a longtime member of Osbourne's backing band, told SiriusXM's Trunk Nation: 'It had been raining at the beginning of the service and then as it sort of progressed through the service, the weather would change and different things would happen. It was almost like Ozzy was having fun with her.' Then when Osbourne's Black Sabbath bandmate Geezer Butler delivered his eulogy, the sun suddenly came out to shine on those paying their respects. Robert said: 'Geezer broke down in tears. He had a hard time, obviously, speaking. And then he came back up and he delivered an amazing eulogy. 'The sun actually came out, and then it was beautiful from that moment on.' The Enter Sandman hitmaker said there were many 'very magical moments' and a lot of laughter despite the sombre occasion. He said: 'It was a small group of people but it was very, very beautiful. It was very sad, but at the same time, some of the speeches were, as you could imagine, pretty funny. More Trending 'People sharing stories and all of a sudden there's laughter, and 'I remember this, I remember that'. There's so many stories. It felt like there was closure from this. I'm glad that we went…and we were able to have that moment with the family.' The Crazy Train hitmaker had long said he wanted his funeral to be a 'celebration' and even feature some 'pranks'. Osbourne told The Times in 2011: 'I do want to make sure it's a celebration, not a mope-fest. 'I'd also like some pranks; maybe the sound of knocking inside the coffin; or a video of me asking my doctor for a second opinion on his diagnosis of death. There'll be no harping on the bad times.'
