Ford Motors is recalling over one million vehicles in the U.S. due to a software malfunction affecting rearview cameras, raising safety concerns for drivers. A frozen, delayed, or blank rearview camera can limit a driver's visibility while reversing, significantly increasing the risk of an accident. This safety issue is at the core of Ford's widespread recall. A spokesperson for Ford Motors revealed to Newsweek, 'All vehicles included in this recall can get an over-the-air update to resolve the issue,' adding, 'they can also visit the dealership for the software update."
In a letter dated May 27, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) confirmed that Ford had issued a safety recall due to a software issue that 'may cause the rearview camera image to delay, freeze, or not display when the vehicle is in reverse.' The official safety recall report was initially submitted on May 9.
The recall has affected 1,075,299 vehicles across various Ford vehicles and models. Following is the list of all affected models.

Ford recalls more than a million vehicles for software glitch that makes rearview camera unreliable

Ford is recalling more than a million vehicles due to a software issue that can cause the rearview camera to malfunction, increasing the chance of an accident, government auto regulators said. The software error, which Ford reported to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration earlier this month, may cause the rearview camera image to delay, freeze or not display when the vehicle is in reverse. The problem will be fixed by a dealer or via an "over-the-air" update at a later date. A preliminary letter notifying owners of the safety risk is expected to be mailed June 16, with a second letter to be sent once the update is available, expected sometime in the third quarter of 2025. The following Ford vehicles - a total of 1,075,299 - are included in the recall: 2021-2024 Bronco 2021-2024 Edge 2023-2024 Escape 2021-2024 F-150 2023-2024 F-250, F-350, F-450, F-550, F-600 2022-2024 Expedition 2022-2025 Transit 2021-2023 Mach-E 2024 Ranger 2024 Mustang 2021-2023 Lincoln Nautilus 2022-2024 Navigator 2023-2024 Corsair Owners can contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332. Ford's number for the recall is 25S49. Owners may also call the NHTSA's Vehicle Safety Hotline at 888-327-4236 (TTY 888-275-9171) or go to

The profit stood at ₹1,802 crore compared to ₹2,011 crore in the same period last year. On a sequential basis, profit after tax fell 18% from ₹2,196 crore in Q3FY25. Despite the drop in profit, revenue from operations grew by 9% to ₹12,646 crore, up from ₹11,555 crore a year ago. However, it was 4% lower than the ₹13,169 crore recorded in the previous quarter. The company's board has recommended a dividend of ₹210 per share for the financial year ended 31 March 2025. Subject to shareholder approval, the dividend is expected to be credited on or around 8 August 2025. Segment performance On a standalone basis, Bajaj Auto reported a 6% increase in net profit to ₹2,049 crore, up from ₹1,936 crore in Q4FY24. Standalone revenue also rose 6% year-on-year to ₹12,148 crore. The company attributed its revenue growth to strong sales of premium motorcycles, electric scooters, and commercial vehicles, along with robust export volumes. It noted that revenue growth was partially impacted by the temporary suspension of KTM exports. EBITDA and margins Earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) rose 6% year-on-year to ₹2,451 crore. EBITDA margin stood at 20.2%, a marginal increase from 20.1% in the year-ago period. The company said the improvement in margin was supported by favourable currency movements and cost reductions on its new Chetak electric platform. Domestic sales decline, exports surge Domestic sales volumes for the quarter were down 7% year-on-year at 6,13,248 units, compared to 6,57,330 units in Q4FY24. On a sequential basis, domestic volumes fell 13%. Two-wheeler sales totalled 5,01,096 units, while commercial vehicles accounted for 1,12,152 units. In contrast, export volumes rose 19% year-on-year to 4,89,686 units, up from 4,11,246 units. Bajaj Auto said exports delivered solid performance, helping offset some of the domestic shortfall. The company described FY25 as a record year in terms of revenue and profit, supported by stable ICE performance and rapid expansion in electric mobility. It highlighted strong results from the 125cc+ motorcycle segment, particularly the Pulsar range, which crossed ₹10,000 crore in domestic revenue and ₹15,000 crore globally. Bajaj Auto also reported that KTM and Triumph together sold over one lakh units domestically, reflecting the success of its expanded premium portfolio. The recent refresh of the Duke 200/250 and the launch of the new Adventure 390 helped sustain momentum.

Ford Recalls Over 10 Lakh Vehicles; Here's Why?

Ford has issued a massive recall for its cars sold in the United States. This recalls over 10 lakh units sold in the country to address an issue with the backup camera. Based on the announcement, the center infotainment screen might display a frozen image. This is followed by a black screen when the car is reversing. If not fixed, this issue can increase the risk of a collision for the driver. The list of models in the recall includes models from the Ford and Lincoln brands. Here's a list. Model Years Affected Ford Bronco 2021-2024 Ford Edge 2021-2024 Ford Escape 2023-2024 Ford Expedition 2022-2024 Ford F-150 2021-2024 Ford Mustang 2024 Ford Mustang Mach-E 2021-2023 Ford Ranger 2024 Ford Super Duty 2023-2024 Ford Transit 2022-2025 Lincoln Corsair 2023-2024 Lincoln MKX 2021-2023 Lincoln Navigator 2022-2024 More than half of the cars covered in the recall are F-150 pickups, which are a well-liked model in the US market. This represents a total of 527,371 vehicles. The Ford Edge, which is no longer manufactured by the company, makes up 157,506 of those one million vehicles, followed by 136,968 Transit vans and 104,394 Bronco SUVs. Also Read: Dua Lipa Unveils Custom Porsche 911 GT3 RS At Monaco GP; Check Pics The recall notice from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration says the underlying issue is a result of "Improper operational sequencing within the wireless communication subsystem of the SYNC software." Ford mentioned it is aware of one report of a minor crash connected to this issue. Nevertheless, it does not know of any injuries linked to the backup camera. Vehicle owners are expected to receive recall notifications by mid-June. It is to be noted that the American manufacturer initiated an investigation into the problem earlier this year and managed to pinpoint it to certain versions of the Sync 4 software's Accessory Protocol Interface Module (APIM). Ford vehicles that have over-the-air capabilities can receive the OTA update. Those without this feature will need to visit a dealer, where a service technician will carry out the software update. The solution will upgrade the APIM software to version 2.0 or newer.
