Rihanna Wears Sheer Blue Chanel Gown to ‘The Smurfs' World Premiere

THE RUNDOWN
On Saturday, Rihanna attended the world premiere of Smurfs in Brussels wearing a custom Chanel ensemble in baby blue. Rihanna voices the character of Smurfette in the new animated movie. Her chiffon top was constructed with layers of sheer fabric that swung lightly over her torso—she and her partner, A$AP Rocky, revealed they were expecting their third child at the Met Gala in May this year.
Under the top, which was hung with dangling crystals and feathers, she wore a long silk skirt in the same delicate shade with embroidery along the hem. She had her hair half up and wore several pieces of delicate jewelry around her neck and wrists. By her side, A$AP Rocky was wearing a striped red-and-white button-down shirt and a red and blue tie. He was wearing wide-legged slacks and a pair of dark sunglasses.
Both stars have been in Paris the last few days, first making an appearance at a show for the Dior menswear collection. Rihanna wore an embroidered cape-style coat over a mint green vest and button-down, while the rapper wore a brightly striped Dior tie.
They then appeared at Rocky's show for AWGE as part of Paris Fashion Week. They were joined by their son, Riot Rose, making his fashion show debut. Rihanna was wearing a loose button-down shirt in a blue and red stripe pattern that opened over her belly, paired it with a pleated black miniskirt. She accessorized with white pointed-toe heels with criss-crossed laces over tall gray socks. She left her long hair down in gentle waves and wore a number of different chains and pendants of different lengths.
Riot was also styled for the night, wearing purple pants, Vans, and a cute denim jacket over a white T-shirt.

Charlize Theron's Style Streak Is a Masterclass in Fierce Femininity

"Hearst Magazines and Yahoo may earn commission or revenue on some items through these links." Charlize Theron's recent style streak is as fierce as her superhero movie character. For the past few days, Theron has been all over New York City and Los Angeles attending events to promote her new film, The Old Guard 2. Known for her glamorous red-carpet style, Theron's latest ensembles are a departure from the typical floor-length gown. Instead, the Oscar-winning actor and longtime face of Dior has embraced more edgy looks, some inspired by menswear but styled in a fiercely feminine way. On Monday, Theron started her day in a sweatshirt-style Alexander McQueen minidress featuring a long-sleeve, black crewneck top with a crystal, pearl, and lace fringe bottom. The actor paired the look with chunky gladiator-style black sandals. Later, the Bombshell star changed into a modern tuxedo look from Givenchy for an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. The outfit featured a pleated nude-colored high-neck halter top with black tailored tuxedo pants. Upon arriving at the show, the actor was photographed wearing a thick-lapel black tux jacket with the look. The next day, Theron continued with the structured pants silhouette in a head-to-toe Bottega Veneta ensemble. She looked safari-chic in a slightly oversized beige button-down tucked into a pair of white wide-leg pants with a cuffed button hem. Theron polished off the look with the brand's Large Andiamo woven tote bag and signature knot mule sandals. Later, the Monster star changed into a sweater and miniskirt fit from Chloé. She looked effortless in the slouchy navy sweater, which was styled over the multi-colored paisley-patterned skirt. Theron paired the easy look with glossy red Mary Jane pumps with several buckled straps, plus layers of gold chain necklaces. Theron's NYC style streak came to an end on Wednesday as she made her way to the West Coast for The Old Guard 2 Los Angeles premiere. For the red-carpet event that evening, the actor evoked her superhuman character and struck a fierce pose in an eye-catching black fishnet bodysuit. Theron, who is a fan of the pantless look, paired the high-neck Givenchy bodysuit with a sharp-lapel blazer and square-toe calf-high black boots. To complement the look, the actor wore her hair slicked back with simple diamond cluster earrings. With the film's July 2 release still a few days away, we can only assume that there'll be a few more Theron looks in our future. Colour and ease lift Paris Men's Fashion Week

Colours ran wild and silhouettes softened at Paris Men's Fashion Week, which ends Sunday, as designers brought a rare breath of fresh air to a gloomy fashion climate. Despite the heavy news cycle and economic turbulence affecting the luxury sector, this Fashion Week was a "shot of creativity that felt incredibly good", Alice Feillard, men's buying director at Galeries Lafayette, told AFP. The spring-summer 2026 season "is much more creative than the previous ones, which were a bit duller", said Adrien Communier, the fashion editor at GQ France. Both experts observed a more relaxed vibe, with Feillard pointing to "good humour" and "optimism", while Communier noted a "lighter mood". "With so many debuts, there was a sense of renewal. And so, I found that people were more curious," he added. After a notable women's show in March, Julian Klausner made waves Thursday with his first menswear show for Dries Van Noten, while Jonathan Anderson's long-awaited debut at Dior drew applause on Friday. A renewed burst of creativity lit up the runways, most visibly through bold colour choices. Brown tones and pastels made way for a richer, more saturated palette for next summer. Saint Laurent opened the week with violet, navy, orange and moss green, while Pharrell Williams at Louis Vuitton channelled Indian motifs and hues. Dries Van Noten made a splash with bold fuchsia and blood red, while Kenzo exploded with candy pink, aquatic blue and chick yellow. - 'nonchalant elegance' - Dior Homme took a more restrained approach, showcasing rich tones like a deep forest green on structured pieces. The tones sometimes appeared as prints -- tiger at Kenzo, childlike safari at Louis Vuitton and floral at Dior. At Comme des Garcons Plus, prints leaned into pop-style 1970s geometry -- a look also seen at Amiri, Saint Laurent and Junya Watanabe, who embraced flared trousers. Stripes were ubiquitous but subtle, adding detail without overwhelming. Designers leaned into fluidity with flared trousers, long jackets, open shirts and an ongoing pyjama trend. "There's a sort of nonchalant elegance in having a very fluid yet thoughtfully designed silhouette," Communier said. Last season's neo-dandy look is now much more relaxed. "Tailoring is still omnipresent in the collections, but it's becoming more fluid. There's still formality, but it's far more relaxed and remains very elegant," said Feillard. Bags were omnipresent, from clutch to shoulder, styled for both casual outings and evening occasions. Finally, flip-flops made a major comeback, seen at Officine Generale, Auralee and even Hermes, "worn in an almost formal way", said Communier. A perfect example of relaxed chic. mdv/srg/gv/tc

Rihanna & A$AP Rocky Walk the Blue Carpet at ‘Smurfs' Movie Premiere in Brussels

Belgium rolled out the blue carpet Saturday (June 28) for Rihanna and other stars who turned out for the world premiere of the new Smurfs movie. Rihanna produced Smurfs and voices Smurfette in the summer family film, a live-action animated reboot that takes the little creatures on a Smurfette-led rescue mission to save Papa Smurf. Film director Chris Miller held Smurfs toys, and other cast members at the premiere included James Corden and Dan Levy. Many of the guests wore a shade of Smurf-ish blue. The movie premieres in the U.S. on July 18. Belgian comics artist Peyo created the Smurfs — known in Belgium as ″Schtroumpfs″ — and the city of Brussels embraced the premiere with a weekend of events. It took place in central Brussels, not far from a Smurfs museum. The city's famed Mannekin Pis statue was dressed for the occasion as No Name Smurf. The city's Grand-Place held Smurf-themed events all weekend, and tourist buses and train cars were decorated in blue. Rihanna announced her pregnancy in early May, just ahead of the 2025 Met Gala, where she debuted her baby bump in a menswear-inspired look as part of the night's 'Superfine: Tailoring Black Style' theme. A$AP Rocky, with whom Rihanna is expecting her third child, served as co-chair of this year's Met Gala, alongside Pharrell Williams, Colman Domingo and Lewis Hamilton, while LeBron James served as honorary chair. Rihanna and Rocky are parents to 3-year-old RZA Athelston Mayers and 1-year-old Riot Rose Mayers.
