A familiar face is rumoured to have signed up for the new series of Strictly Come Dancing, and now her former Loose Women co-star Katie Piper has shared some advice

Loose Women's Katie Piper has spoken out about the buzz that her former co-star Stacey Solomon is tipped to join the star-studded cast of this year's Strictly Come Dancing.
While the professional dancers for the upcoming series have been unveiled, the BBC has yet to confirm the celebrity line-up, with rumours swirling around names like Dani Dyer, Tom Parker Bowles, Paul C Brunson, and Sir Mo Farah, in addition to Stacey.
Stacey, 35, hasn't addressed the rumours, but Katie who herself took part in Strictly in 2018 and was paired with Gorka Marquez before being the third celeb to exit, has offered some sage advice from her own experience.
In a candid chat, Katie, reflecting on her stint which began just months after welcoming her second child, described the initial training as "hard" but expressed her fondness for the experience.
Although she's only crossed paths with Stacey once and isn't as acquainted with her as other Loose Women panellists are, Katie didn't hesitate to impart some encouragement, urging those set to embark on the Strictly journey to "enjoy it", reports Edinburgh Live.
She enthused about the unique opportunity, saying, "When are you ever going to get the chance ever again to dance with a professional dancer, in front of all those people? Strictly goes all out with the wigs, the makeup, all the costumes."

She explained: "So it's quite a unique opportunity to have and to wear all the stuff and seeing pictures and footage of yourself professionally dancing, if that's not your chosen career, it's quite an incredible world to dip into."
Despite her stint on the BBC show, the mother-of-two now finds it challenging to juggle watching the programme with family commitments and her TV roles, including presenting an ITV breakfast show.
Explaining her routine, she said: "I have a breakfast show on ITV and it starts at 8.25am so I'm not really this big Saturday night person," and added how she prioritises time with her children over the weekends, enjoying activities like swimming and lunch out together.
"And then really in the evenings, I have to say, it's like proper mum mode where I'm tidying up, my eldest goes to bed at half eight or nine and I usually go up to bed because then I'm up early."

Now that Katie's children are getting older, she's keen on fostering family connection away from the whirlwind of professional and social media engagements, which is why she's collaborating with easyJet on their latest initiative.
easyJet has initiated the "Airplane Mode" campaign aimed at supporting families like Katie's to engage deeply with each other, detached from the distractions of gadgets and everyday stress.
As part of the initiative, the airline has introduced a family card game involving conversation-sparking questions and prompts to share advice and meaningful experiences with each other, that will be handed out for free for families jetting off on holiday, available at airports across the UK from today (while stocks last).
"It's a brilliant initiative and it's so overdue," Katie said. "We all understand the social media dangers for children, and I don't actually think it's all about putting the blame on kids. I think I speak for myself as a mum, we're guilty of always being on our phones and our children wanting to connect with us, and they can't."

Katie's concerns about parent-child communication have been heightened by the thought-provoking Netflix series Adolescence and the easyJet campaign.
"You can't just be checking notifications and emails whilst you're trying to get them to confide in you, and you can't just accept them saying 'Oh no, I'm fine' when they get in from school and put their bag down.
"It was one of the most important pieces of television I'd seen in a while, and I got speaking to easyJet quite soon after that about this initiative."
She added: "This is something I feel so passionate about, even if I wasn't doing this campaign."

I just think when I first fell in love with a woman it was completely different." Cancer diagnosis In 2009, Balding shared her thyroid cancer diagnosis. The presenter spotted the warning signs, including a noticeable lump on her neck, while viewing herself on screen - symptoms which can encompass a lingering sore throat and trouble swallowing. After undergoing surgery to remove a cyst, her thyroid gland and a lymph node, she was treated with radioactive iodine to halt the cancer's spread. Despite concerns over the potential impact on her voice and career, she fortunately received the all-clear by the end of 2010. Discussing her experience, Balding said: "I had to have a little operation just before Christmas to take out a nasty little lymph node and there was a worry that I might have to have more treatment." She also shared some positive news: "But I had a lovely letter from my oncologist just after Christmas saying, 'Hurrah, no more treatment', so I'm very happy about that. 2011 is going to be a good one." Looking back on her battle, she admitted going through a "dark stage" because of her health struggles but came out with a renewed outlook on life, admitting: "When I recovered, my attitude to life changed. I feel happy most days, grateful for all I have." Broadcasting controversies Despite being one of Britain's esteemed presenters, Balding found herself embroiled in controversy during the 2024 Paris Olympics coverage. During a chat with former Olympic swimming champion Rebecca Adlington on air, Balding was surprised to learn no Olympic athletes had visited Adlington's school in her youth, which led to accusations of classism from viewers. The topic arose when pundit Mark Foster spoke about being "inspired" by meeting Duncan Goodhew at his swimming club as a child. Having asked if Adlington had a similar encounter, she answered: "To be fair, I didn't have somebody like that," to which a clearly astonished Balding, who had a private education, asked: "No one came to your school?!" Her remark sparked indignation among some viewers, with one commenting: "Of course Balding thought it TOTALLY NORMAL for Olympic medal winners to visit schools - because being privately educated and descended from nobility and privilege, this kind of thing is part of the cultural experience they expect." The former TOWIE star, 37, was dubbed an unlikely signing when he took part in the BBC show last year, but became such a fan-favourite, he made it all the way to the semi-finals. Speaking to MailOnline, Pete himself admitted he thought he'd be the first celebrity to be voted off the show, having entered Strictly with zero dance experience. But the star did the opposite, winning over viewers with a string of light-hearted performances, including a viral Samba dressed as George Of The Jungle, and a hilarious Cha Cha Cha in Blackpool. Reflecting on his time on Strictly, Pete, who has joined forces with Lynx to celebrate the launch of their new Lower Body Spray, credited his progression to his dance partner Jowita, and said they are still close friends, six months after the series ended. Pete said: 'I thought as soon you could vote people out, what is it week two? I thought I'd be gone, I genuinely did and that would be it, and every week after that I thought I'd be gone. 'I certainly never expected to get to the semi-finals and be that far along and have that experience for such a long time, but I was very fortunate, it was very overwhelming. 'A lot of that, if I'm totally honest, is down to Jowita, she was the best partner I could have had, I was with her on Saturday night, she's become one of the most important in my life. She's one of my best mates, and I adore her. 'She had to put up with me, she dragged me through it, because it certainly wasn't the dancing!' 'I didn't take myself too seriously but I took the show really seriously, and I took the process really seriously, I took the learning really seriously. 'I didn't really enjoy learning things, and that was my favourite part of the whole thing, obviously I didn't take myself too seriously because I knew I wasn't the best dancer, and that's why I was dressed as George of the jungle and wearing pink PVC trousers. 'I don't think anyone expected me to be doing that – it was like a fever dream!' While Pete's Strictly stint earned him many new fans, he also faced backlash from a select number of viewers, who complained he'd been voted to stay on the show over other celebrity couples who had scored higher. But the star brushed off the complaints, telling MailOnline: 'I'm used to it, it doesn't matter what you do, if you're the type of personality that divides people, which I think I am, you're never going to please everyone. 'It wasn't about pleasing everyone, it was about doing something for me, it was about not letting Jowita down, it was about the people around me who matter, and to try as best I could to make them proud. Having previously described his grandmother as his 'best friend,' the star also opened up her passing in his book Never Enough. Describing his Nan as his 'safety net,' Pete told MailOnline that he's made many changes in his life since her death in 2022. He said: 'Since I lost my Nan a few years ago, life has changed for me, and a lot of that was down to the fact that she was kind of a safety net for me, things change in your head and you have to kind of have a word with yourself in a way. 'The book was cathartic, it was something I wanted to do, because I don't think I'm the only one that feels the way I do in certain situations, it's got nothing to do with what I've been through, because everyone's been through different things. 'If you can put everyone's problems together in a pot, you'd probably be a lot happier just taking away the original problems you had, because there's so many people doing so many things, that's why I want it to be relatable to people.' Pete added that much of his decision to open up about his past for the first time came from his mum Tracy, and in his book, he revealed how he saved her life when he was just 12 after he found her in the kitchen following an attempted suicide. He added: 'It's got nothing to do with me, it's got my name on it, but it's a lot to do with my Mum, she's now really open about the struggles she's had and has had over the years, and how that's impacted her. 'She's my absolute hero and she's just an angel and a lot of it is kind of her story as well, and her giving my blessing to tell that story, in order for someone else who might relate to it or understand it a little bit better. 'I'm just a vehicle for things, it's got nothing to do with me. 'She's my hero, she's my absolute hero, there's not a stronger person on this earth than my Mum.' Ncuti Gatwa shares reason for quitting Doctor Who after just two years
Ncuti Gatwa has opened up about his decision to walk away from playing Doctor Who - having lasted just two seasons in the high profile role and after ratings bombed Doctor Who star Ncuti Gatwa has insisted he quit his role as the Time Lord as he feels too old to keep playing the part. At 32, the Rwandan-Scottish actor is on the younger side of some of the stars who have played The Doctor. Christopher Eccleston was 41 when he took on the role in 2005, David Tennant was 34 when he took the part later that same year, and Peter Capaldi was 55 when he took over the role in 2013. Ncuti lasted just two seasons in the role, taking on the part of the Fifteenth Doctor in 2023 only to bow out in June this year in a shock twist. Fans were stunned to see him regenerate at the end of an episode, as his departure had not been previously announced. And jaws dropped even more when Billie Piper, who played Rose Tyler on the show on and off from 2005 until 2010, emerged in his place instead. But speaking to the BBC 's Sunday With Laura Kuenssberg programme this weekend, Ncuti claimed his tired old early 30s body meant it was time for him to walk away from the Tardis. He told the political journalist: 'I'm getting old, and my body was tired… and I've now just started doing some ballet, so I'm making really great decisions. 'It's the most amazing job in the world, a job that any actor would dream of and – because it's so good – it's strenuous. It takes a lot out of you, physically, emotionally, mentally, and so it was time.' Asked if he would ever return to the show, he teased: 'Never say never.' Fans were shocked when Ncuti departed the series this year. The show had attracted fierce criticism over politically charged storylines, and ratings had tanked since the actor took over the role. The BBC had signed a lucrative deal with Disney to co-fund the long-running series, only for viewers to switch off despite the cash injection. After his shock exit, Ncuti issued a statement declaring his love for the franchise. He said in June: 'You know when you get cast, at some point, you are going to have to hand back that sonic screwdriver and it is all going to come to an end, but nothing quite prepares you for it. 'This journey has been one that I will never forget and a role that will be part of me forever. There are no words to describe what it feels like to be cast as the Doctor, nor are there words to explain what it feels like to be accepted into this iconic role that has existed for over 60 years and is truly loved by so many across the globe. 'The fans are truly the final character and beating heart of this show and I can't thank the Whoniverse, and the Whovians, enough for welcoming me in, and making this such a touching experience. 'I've loved every minute of it, but now is the time to hand over the keys to that beloved blue box and let someone else take control and enjoy it every bit as much as I have. I'll truly miss it, and forever be grateful to it, and everyone that has played a part in my journey as the Doctor.' Meanwhile, Doctor Who showrunner Russell T Davies, said: 'What a Doctor! Thank you, Ncuti! As his final words say, this has been an absolute joy, and the team in Cardiff and everyone who has worked on this show for the past few years, are so lucky to have been part of Ncuti's great adventure as he shoots off to stratospheric new heights. 'Billie once changed the whole of television, back in 2005, and now she's done it again! It's an honour and a hoot to welcome her back to the Tardis, but quite how and why and who is a story yet to be told. After 62 years, the Doctor's adventures are only just beginning!' It is unclear if or when Doctor Who will return following the disastrous most recent run of episodes. Fans fear the series could be axed completely after new episodes underperformed - while some rumours have suggested the show could be put on ice until 2027.
