2024: Ward set college football on fire last season as Miami's quarterback passing for 4,313 yards, 39 touchdowns and seven interceptions en route to collecting several awards and finishing fourth place for the Heisman trophy. His efforts led to him being the number one overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.
What's Changed: While Ward is indeed the biggest change as the Titans' franchise quarterback, they've added more veterans at receiver (Tyler Lockett and Van Jefferson) and the offensive line. They've mixed up the wideout room by bringing in rookies Elic Ayomanor and Chimere Dike as well.
2025 Outlook: Regardless of how great a rookie is coming in there's going to be a learning curve, but Ward should give the Titans the most stabilization at quarterback since McNair. You should rush to start him out the gate in fantasy, but it won't be long before you do.

Now, uncertainty looms over whether that success can continue. Pessimism will outweigh optimism, and some players are expected to regress. Fantasy football managers must steer clear of those risks. Wide receiver Jameson Williams is one of them. According to CBS Sports' fantasy football expert Ryan Wooden, Williams is now facing a fantasy football bust warning for 2025. Despite the strong production in 2024, Wooden's model lists the receiver as one of the players to avoid in upcoming fantasy drafts. The primary reason for this dark outlook lies in Detroit's offensive changes. Wooden points out that "the man calling the plays is different." Williams' improvement last season was largely attributed to Johnson's offensive schemes. Statistically, the wideout had immense growth under Johnson with 58 receptions, 1,001 yards and seven touchdowns, up from just 24 catches for 354 yards and two touchdowns in the previous year. Wooden explained that "Williams benefited from Johnson's ability to scheme the speedy receiver open down the field and into space." Now, that opportunity may no longer be available to the same extent. The model ranks the receiver outside the top 40 at his position for the 2025 season. Considering the offensive uncertainty and current draft position, Wooden's model sees the Lions WR as "a prime candidate for a 2025 fantasy football bust." So, be cautious.

With kickoff fast approaching, we're looking at seven players on the roster bubble to watch on Saturday. The Eagles and Browns are set for their third meeting of the week, this time a more formal preseason game with starters for both teams sitting out. Philadelphia has one of the best rosters in the NFL, and not many holes for a bubble player to exploit. Saturday afternoon offers another chance for players on the roster bubble and under-the-radar performers to carve out a role on a Super Bowl-contending team with very few holes or available opportunities at key positions. With kickoff fast approaching, we're looking at seven players on the roster bubble to watch on Saturday. OL Darian Kinnard Kinnard has played tackle and guard, but played exclusively on the right side of the line until the Dickerson injury. A versatile player to watch, Kinnard can cement a roster spot on Saturday. DT Jacob Sykes Sykes (6-3, 282) offers a unique ability as a pass rusher, and Saturday offers a chance to lock down a practice squad spot. OLB Azeez Ojulari The veteran edge rusher had a quiet training camp and will look to keep pace with Josh Uche and ahead of Ogbo Okoronkwo. OLB Ogbo Okoronkwo The 30-year-old pass rusher is the oldest edge rusher on the Eagles roster and will look to keep his name in the competition. DB Andre Sam Sam spent the season on the Philadelphia Eagles' practice squad. Sam (5-11, 191 pounds) jumped from FCS after starting his career in 2017 at McNeese State, where he was selected First Team All-Southland Conference twice. Sam transferred to Marshall for the 2022 season before spending his final season at LSU. Overall, he played 58 games in college, registering 144 tackles, ten pass defenses, and nine interceptions. Sam has spent the past two off-seasons training with C.J. Gardner-Johnson and could prepare to carve out a key role in year three. RB ShunDerrick Powell The ability to explode for extra yards or play with burst is essential in the NFL, and undrafted rookie running back ShunDerrick Powell has made enough plays through Week 1 of Eagles training camp to leave Saquon Barkley impressed. Powell had a record-setting collegiate career at North Alabama and Central Arkansas, and we'll look to state his case. WR Elijah Cooks Through the first few weeks of training camp practices, Cooks had been the fourth-best wideout and took advantage of players losing reps due to injury. Cooks suffered an injury in the Bengals' win and needs a strong performance.

One player in particular that is beginning to garner national attention is cornerback Nate Wiggins, who enjoyed an impressive rookie campaign in 2024 when he registered 33 tackles, an interception (which he returned for a touchdown) and 13 passes defended in 15 games. He also managed a 70.7 overall grade at Pro Football Focus. Baltimore still has a long way to go before worrying about the former first-round pick's contract, but ESPN's Seth Walder seems to believe the Ravens won't waste any time in handing him a new deal. In fact, he thinks Baltimore will lock up Wiggins as soon as he becomes eligible for an extension. "He had a strong rookie campaign, allowing 0.9 yards per coverage snap (better than average) and minus-28 EPA allowed as the nearest defender (best among all outside corners), per NFL Next Gen Stats." Cornerbacks certainly became rich this offseason. First, Jaycee Horn signed a record-setting extension with the Carolina Panthers. Houston Texans star Derek Stingley Jr. then broke his record just over a week later. Finally, last month, the New York Jets inked Sauce Gardner to a record-breaking deal. Of course, Wiggins still has a whole lot to prove on the professional level, but it's hard to ignore what he achieved in his first season on the circuit. There is no doubt he is trending upward, and within a couple of years, the 21-year-old may very well be the best the cornerback position has to offer.
