Taylor Swift has announced her much-anticipated 12th studio album, The Life of a Showgirl.
The 35-year-old pop star made the announcement in an unusual way compared to past album reveals, this time enlisting her boyfriend Travis Kelce and his brother Jason Kelce to reveal the title.
The news came via a teaser for Swift's upcoming appearance on their mega-popular New Heights podcast – with the episode sure to be widely watched and dissected by fans.
In the video, which was shared on Instagram at 12.12am ET on Tuesday, Taylor said: 'Can I show you something?'
Jason, 37, replied, 'Okay. What do we got? We got a briefcase? Mint green, with T.S. on it.'
Taylor confirmed: 'Yup.'
Jason then asked: 'What's in it?'
Taylor the replied: 'This is my brand new album, The Life of a Showgirl.'
Travis exclaimed in response: 'TS12!'
The cover art for the record remained obscured in the clip, with Taylor's website now displaying a mysterious, blurred orange and green cover, alongside options to buy CD, cassette, and vinyl versions of the album.
While the album's artwork remains under wraps, clues suggest that orange will be the defining shade of this era.
On the New Heights set, behind Taylor, a stack of orange-covered art books nodded to an eclectic roster of inspirations: the urban grit of Jean-Michel Basquiat, the dreamlike colour worlds of Marc Chagall, the sculptural poetry of Ruth Asawa, and the meditative abstractions of Mark Rothko.
Just off to the side, a silver microphone and a football winked at both her current surroundings and her co-hosts' NFL heritage.
The visual breadcrumbs continued online. On Monday (11 August), Taylor added a countdown to her website – a glittery orange backdrop framing a mint green clock – which ticked down to 12:12 a.m. on Tuesday, the exact moment her new album was announced.
The reveal dovetailed neatly with confirmation that the Blank Space singer would appear on New Heights this Wednesday (13 August). More Trending
In a teaser clip posted to X, Taylor complimented Travis on his sky-blue sweatshirt: 'That's such a nice colour on you.'
His reply was pure rom-com: 'Yes, I know. It's the colour of your eyes, sweetie. It's why we match so well.' Taylor, visibly delighted, blurted: 'We're about to do a f***ing podcast!'
Fans had been primed for her visit – the guest announcement image showed her unmistakable silhouette between podcast hosts Travis and Jason Kelce, framed in that same glittering orange and mint-green motif now synonymous with this rollout.
It has not yet been revealed when The Life of a Showgirl will be released, but Taylor's website confirmed orders will be sent out before 13 October.

Southern Charm star shocks fans with NAKED hotel snaps after drinking 'half a bottle' of wine

Former Southern Charm personality Jarrett 'JT' Thomas stunned his 61,000 Instagram followers on Monday night as he took to the platform to share racy content. The 39-year-old real estate developer used the app's Stories to brazenly share nude photos taken in his Washington, DC hotel room. The string of images was off to an innocuous start, with the Bravo celebrity sharing a tame mirror selfie snapshot from bed, where his lower half was covered by white sheets. It was soundtracked to Willie Nelson 's tune On the Road Again. He then shared a closeup shot and philosophized, 'The bravery one feels alone, half a bottle of wine deep in a hotel far away from home... I know you all get it. #shameisaflaw.' Viewers were then given a jump scare as Jarrett boldly posted his bare side profile, which he took in the hotel bathroom. Acknowledging the risqué nature of his posts, he wrote, 'Sorry mom & fam lol.' But before he wrapped up his time on the app for the night, he wanted to share a video diary. 'Alright, it's time to go to bed. Clearly I've had enough wine and um, thank you guys for all the support and the DMs and yeah, I'm cancelling myself. Goodnight,' Jarrett said before laughing and flashing a peace sign. The next day he had no regrets as he shared a clothed selfie while out and about. Last November the television star abruptly exited Southern Charm while the season was still filming. After two seasons on the reality show, he took to Instagram to announce his departure. According to an account from Page Six, he wrote, 'It comes with a heavy heart to share that I have resigned from Southern Charm. 'Yesterday I informed Bravo that I will not be participating in the 2-3 remaining green room interviews remaining before szn [sic] airs 12/5 (I've done about ~9 thus far leading up to today) and that I no longer wish to participate in any ways moving forward with the TV show.' The 39-year-old real estate developer used the app's Stories to brazenly share nude photos taken in his hotel room. The string of images was off to an innocuous start, with the Bravo celebrity sharing a tame selfie snapshot from bed, where his lower half was covered by white sheets At the time, Jarrett did not give much context as he added he would 'leave it at that for now' before sharing his intention to 'recover both physically and mentally from what has been an extremely challenging & exhausting year.' He first appeared on the series in season nine, during which he had friction with castmate Austen Kroll, culminating in a physical altercation in the finale. A season 10 trailer later teased him at odds with Madison LeCroy after it was revealed he called her a 'b*tch' behind her back. The star now appears to be focused on exercise, cooking, and his real estate endeavors. His Instagram profile reads, 'Book my Airbnbs and/or Event Space,' and includes a link to '@theinns.'

Julianne Moore, 64, ditches Hollywood glamour as she posts rare makeup-free selfie

Julianne Moore was effortlessly radiant as she posted a rare makeup-free selfie to Instagram on Tuesday. The 64-year-old Oscar winner - who recently whisked herself away for an Italian getaway with her family - shared the photo with fans while reflecting on special moments from the month of August thus far. The mom-of-two flashed a cheerful smile as she sported a plunging, black bikini top while spending time outdoors. Julianne also opted to showcase her glowing skin to her 2.7 million followers while taking in a scenic sunset. Another image was taken of a wooden deck that was surrounded by trees and tall grass as water stretched out in the distance. The blue sky was covered with wispy clouds that had hues of orange and pink as the evening sun began to set. The Oscar winner jumped to her main Instagram page on Tuesday to share special moments from the month of August thus far; seen in May in NYC The May December actress indulged in a tasty meal that comprised of fresh tomatoes, basil and mozzarella cheese. Julianne's dog Hope also celebrated turning one year older and the Hollywood star included a slide dedicated to the adorable pup. Both she and her husband Bart Freundlich adopted the lab mix back in 2020 from Gimme Shelter Animal Rescue. Lastly, the star showed her Wordle score to her fans and simply captioned the Instagram carousel with, 'August.' Julianne has previously opened up about beauty and offered her thoughts on the phrase 'aging gracefully.' During a past interview with As If Magazine in 2021, she said, 'There's so much judgement inherent in the term "aging gracefully." Is there an ungraceful way to age? 'We don't have an option, of course. No one has an option about aging, so it's not a positive or a negative thing, it just is.' In regards to aging, the actress explained that it is 'part of the human condition, so why are we always talking about it as if it is something that we have control over?' She added that growing older should instead be focused on 'challenging ourselves' and to 'learn new things.' 'How do we continue to evolve? How do we navigate life to have even deeper experiences?' Julianne further expressed. And while talking to Glamour, the Sirens star stated that she felt 'makeup is something that you should want to wear, but you shouldn't feel like you have to. 'I think it's an antiquated idea, this idea that we put makeup on to cover something up, to cover up our flaws, or to look professional. You can be professional without makeup. Makeup should be a want, not a need.' She later reflected, 'That's the biggest change that I think we've had in the beauty industry…is that you do it for yourself, not because you feel that you have to.' During an interview with Vogue in 2023, Julianne gave insight into her skincare routine - which comprises of Cetaphil cleanser, SPF, serums and eye cream. And when it comes to the application of makeup, the mom-of-two explained that she doesn't 'like a lot of coverage; I like to be able to see the freckles in my skin and color in my skin as well.' Julianne has been keeping busy during the summer season and recently enjoyed an Italian trip with her husband Bart as well as their two children Liv, 27, and Caleb, 23. The actress and her loved ones were spotted taking a dip in the cool water in the city of Grosseto. Julianne sported a black, one-piece swimsuit while her mini-me daughter donned a shimmering gold bikini. She additionally shared a few memorable pictures to her Instagram page from the family vacation, including her two kids posing together. Another showed Liv and Caleb pausing for a snap with their dad Bart - whom Julianne tied the knot with in 2003. The actress also recently made an appearance in the Netflix limited series titled Sirens - alongside other cast members such as Meghann Fahy, Milly Alcock, Kevin Bacon and Glenn Howerton. The premise is: 'Worried about her sister's too-close relationship with her billionaire boss, a scrappy everywoman seeks answers at a lavish seaside estate,' per an official synopsis. The show has garnered critical praise since its release on the streaming site back in May. Sirens also recently raked in Emmy nominations, including Outstanding Lead Actress in a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie for Meghann and also Outstanding Directing. A couple months earlier in June, Julianne also hinted at a possible move to the U.K. - after other Hollywood celebrities have left the U.S. following Donald Trump's presidential win late last year in November. During an appearance on Capital Breakfast with her Echo Valley co-star Sydney Sweeney, the Still Alice actress explained how she has a British passport due to her mother being from Scotland. When asked if she could 'see herself' residing in the U.K. full-time, Julianne replied, 'I can actually, my husband and I have talked about that sometimes. It could be kind of fun. 'I've worked here a lot and I'm really comfortable here. I've been working here, gosh, probably since the nineties...' Other stars that have moved out of the United States since Trump's second term began in the White House include Rosie O'Donnell, Eva Longoria and Ellen DeGeneres.

'I hate modern dating after hosting one of Netflix's biggest ever shows'

To view this video please enable JavaScript, and consider upgrading to a web browser that supports HTML5 video In a world of reality TV showmances, wannabe influencers and frustratingly toxic men, Love Is Blind UK hosts Emma and Matt Willis are a breath of fresh air amid the deluge of dating shows. I was completely charmed by the celebrity couple last year when I interviewed them for the first season of the long-awaited UK spin-off of one of Netflix's most popular reality shows. They were endearingly nervous about their debut as a married couple helming a show about finding love, shared playful quips about what to order for lunch and had a quiet confidence that proved their real-life and on-screen chemistry. When I met up with them again this year for Metro to discuss season 2, which launches today, the nerves had evaporated, but all the charm had, happily, stayed. For those not in the know, the premise of the hit reality show is all about proving that lasting love is so much more than skin deep. Wake up to find news on your TV shows in your inbox every morning with Metro's TV Newsletter. Sign up to our newsletter and then select your show in the link we'll send you so we can get TV news tailored to you. So, 30 people ready for marriage date each other in 'pods' for a week, getting to know each other from behind a wall without seeing each other, and the lucky couples who make a connection get engaged. By the end of the experiment, after meeting one another in the flesh and spending time together in the outside world, they must decide whether they will say 'I do' at the altar. Throughout the process, our trusty co-hosts jet in and out to guide them through from one stage to the next. As we kick off our chat about their return, the 17 years of marriage between the Big Brother presenter and Busted star shines through when I point out their matching blue clothes. 'Last year, we were quite nervous. This year, we were much more relaxed,' Emma says about returning to the show. They were well aware of the tough task ahead of them when launching the latest spin-off (there are currently eight international versions). 'We really wanted the UK one to be as good as all of the others and I think it surpassed our expectations, because it had everything. 'It had heart, it had a very British sense of humour,' the TV host adds, with hopes that season two meets the high standard season one set for fans. The British power couple, who share three children, have had their ups and downs over the years, but if hosting Love Is Blind has made them 'grateful' for one thing, it is that they met in the early 2000s before online dating took off. 'The one thing I've taken [from hosting the show] – and it's not so much a reflection on our relationship, but a reflection on the world of dating generally – is, I'm really glad I'm not single,' Emma says. 'I wouldn't want to be on dating apps. I know a lot of people on them, and they just moan about them all the time. I think I'd get so frustrated with doing everything on a device.' The idea of meeting organically (a more and more foreign concept for Gen Z) is what attracted them to this show in the first place. 'I think that is a whole world better than trying to navigate [the] beginning of a relationship through a phone, which must be so difficult,' Emma adds. Matt agrees: 'Absolutely, I think messages can get so misconstrued.' When I ask them about their dating app green and red flags, we briefly go on a side tangent about the turn-off factor of posting a photo of yourself holding a fish (it's a whole thing) to a completely baffled Emma. As such, Matt decides a fish picture 'doesn't sound cool' while Emma ponders hers would 'probably be an overly posed picture'. 'I think if it were someone in a pair of shorts and nothing else… I'm getting the ick just thinking about it,' she jokes. So, naturally, I ask if the show had been around when they were single, would they have gone on it – and their answers explained a lot about why they are such a perfect fit. To view this video please enable JavaScript, and consider upgrading to a web browser that supports HTML5 video Emma called the process 'fantastic' but had one caveat. 'I don't know if I could get married after six weeks because I'm a chronic overthinker and I like to know everything,' she admits with a wry smile. Matt, on the other hand, is ready to leap headfirst, joking, 'I could. I'd be like, 'Let's do it.'' He shares: 'I think it'd be really fun to see what that experience is like, talking to someone and doing the experiment. I think it'd be such an exciting thing to do.' Lucky for them, neither has to worry about getting hitched to a near-stranger in six weeks or navigating the treacherous world of Tinder. They'll happily watch on, however. Season one saw plenty of highs and lows, with fan-favourite couple Bobby and Jasmine recently announcing they're expecting their first child. It's clear both Emma and Matt are delighted, with the former recalling that the loved-up pair were 'hook, line and sinker from the beginning', and she could tell they were 'totally smitten' right up to the reunion. Matt adds he's 'so stoked for them'. Of course, the premiere season also included some controversial characters, not least Sam, who was briefly engaged to Nicole (now married to Benaiah), who became the latest 'toxic' reality TV man to spark concerned fan discourse. Viewers can expect different things from the new episodes, Emma teases. 'I think they're a really likeable cast. There's not really any divisive characters, I don't think. Obviously, Sam last year was quite a divisive character. I don't think we have a Sam,' she says. Love Is Blind marks the latest show the pair have jointly tackled in recent years, in addition to their candid therapy docuseries, Change Your Mind, Change Your Life. While working together might be out of the question for some couples, that's not the case for these two. Matt explains: '[I love] everything about [my] job, but then I always have to be away from Emma, away from the family. So the chance to work with her is brilliant. 'I've always been jealous of her job. I've been in a sweaty tour bus with stinky boys. This is way more fun, got a glam squad now, love it.' As for what's next, Emma is clearly enthusiastic about the future of their professional partnership, saying they're ready to do 'eight more seasons' of Love Is Blind. But they have other ideas brewing as well. 'I'd like to do something adventurous. I don't know if it's a travel show – just some kind of adventure. I love shows like Race Across the World. I think that's so much fun, but there's a point to it,' Emma says. More Trending As in sync as ever, Matt agrees. Who knows what's next for this dynamic duo, who are proving themselves to be a formidable force on British reality TV. For now, however, they have a brand new cohort of unlucky-in-love singles to welcome to the pods. So, let the blush-inducing courtship commence. The first four episodes of Love Is Blind UK season two are out now. Got a story?
