Aaron Rodgers fuels marriage rumors with sneaky ring appearance in Steelers contract photo
Is Aaron Rodgers embarking on his new chapter with the Steelers as a married man?
Rumors about the MVP-winning quarterback's relationship status are swirling once again after Rodgers, 41, was seen wearing a black band on his left ring finger Saturday in a photo shared by the Steelers after he agreed to a one-year, $13.65 million contract worth $10 million guaranteed.
Rodgers, who ended his free agency waiting game with Pittsburgh on Thursday, sparked marriage buzz earlier this spring when he sported a similar accessory at Kentucky Derby festivities in May.

Jonquel Jones has avoided a serious injury after going down with a right ankle issue in the team's previous contest and has not been ruled out for their home game on Tuesday against the Sky. The Liberty will see if Jones can return to limited activity on Monday. Jones was injured in the first quarter of Thursday night's 86-78 victory in Washington. She rolled her right ankle on a play under the basket and received attention from trainers on the floor before being helped off the court. Dolphins legend comments on Aaron Rodgers signing with Steelers
Dolphins legend comments on Aaron Rodgers signing with Steelers Few know the intricacies of playing the quarterback position better than Dolphins legend Dan Marino. The Hall of Famer joined "The Pomp and Joe Show" on 93.7 The Fan in Pittsburgh last week to promote the Joe Moore Offensive Line Camp from West Allegheny High School in Pennsylvania. Marino broached a number of subjects, including his thoughts on the Pittsburgh Steelers potentially bringing in quarterback Aaron Rodgers. "If it happens, I still think Aaron has some game. You know he does. He can throw it as good as anybody ever has thrown the football. If his mind's into it and he's ready to go and that works, I don't think it would be an issue with the Steelers. "But, you've got to have someone that really wants to play there and he's getting older. So, I don't know what his mindset is. But, he does still have talent," Marino said. Of course, Rodgers has since signed with the Steelers on a one-year, $13.65 million deal that includes $10 million guaranteed and that could be worth up to $19.5 million. Rodgers passed for 3,897 yards and 28 touchdowns against 11 interceptions last season with the New York Jets, but the Jets finished just 5-12. Now, Pittsburgh is banking on Rodgers elevating the Steelers from the wild card team they were a season ago and into a bonafide Super Bowl contender. The Steelers finished 10-7 during the 2024 regular season to grab second place in the AFC North before falling to the Baltimore Ravens in an AFC wild card game.

Aaron Rodgers Could Be Trouble For Steelers' Mike Tomlin Says Former Rival
Based on facts, either observed and verified firsthand by the reporter, or reported and verified from knowledgeable sources. Newsweek AI is in beta. Translations may contain inaccuracies—please refer to the original content. The Pittsburgh Steelers and head coach Mike Tomlin officially have a new starting quarterback. Aaron Rodgers has agreed to a deal and will be the team's lead man during the upcoming 2025 NFL season. With Rodgers on the roster, the Steelers could be a legitimate Super Bowl contender. However, there is also still a chance that things could go south. Should things go sideways and the team struggle throughout the season, major changes could be on the horizon. He thinks Rodgers could cost Tomlin his job if things go south. Read more: Steelers, Aaron Rodgers Situation Receives Shocking New Details After Signing During a segment on "Nightcap," Johnson explained his thoughts on the matter. "If he doesn't play well, you know, players get coaches fired now," Johnson said. "And Tomlin could be on the hot seat for making mistakes. Obviously, he had them wait. He had the whole organization waiting. He's coming, and obviously he's signed because they got mini camp coming up very soon — mandatory mini camp. And he wants to be a part of that, which is also a good thing. That's a good sign. That lets me know that he's buying in as opposed to what he did last season out there in New York. So that's a good thing." Tomlin has been mentioned in hot seat rumors over the last couple of years. It would be shocking to see the Steelers fire him, but it could become a reality at some point. Since taking over as the team's head coach back in the 2007 season, Tomlin has led Pittsburgh to a 183-107-2 record. He also led a Super Bowl run during the 2008 season.
