Boyle shot to fame on Britain's Got Talent at the age of 47 in 2009 with her incredible performance of I Dreamed A Dream from Les Misérables.
The 64-year-old went on to release eight albums, sold over 20 million records and even sang for the late Pope Francis during the Vatican's Christmas concert in 2019.
However in April 2022 she suffered a major stroke which left her unable to speak and sing properly, with significant muscular weakness down one side.
After undergoing intensive vocal coaching lessons, which helped restore her speech and singing voice, she is now planning to release new music and go on tour again.

Boyle thanked her manager Geraldine Easton for being her "rock" during the recovery process.
She said: "Today was wonderful, emotional, and everything in between.
"I made my return to the recording studio for the first time in six years, something I was told I might never achieve again. But here we are, in my happy place.
"I want to thank my manager, Geraldine, for being my absolute rock through everything and for helping me get back to where I belong. A million thanks."

Writing in response to the Instagram post, hungry Brits highlighted its resemblance to another iconic biscuit as they admitted they couldn't wait to snap them up and scoff them down. "I need these now!" one person declared. "All my dreams have come true!" A second pondered: "If these taste like Pink Panther biscuits, oh my God." A third added: "I used to love pink wafers as a kid!" Whilst a fourth person declared: "I can't wait to see this in stores here in London." Benazir Barlet-Batada, Marketing Director at McVitie's, said: "As we continue to celebrate 100 years of McVitie's Chocolate Digestives, we wanted to mark the next chapter in our history by reinventing the nation's favourite. Last month saw some of London's most famous landmarks illuminated with dazzling light projections to celebrate the anniversary, meanwhile. The London Eye was transformed into a towering tribute, showcasing a jaw-dropping 360-degree rotating projection of the beloved biscuit. And Tower Bridge joined the festivities with a vibrant showreel of fireworks, balloons, and confetti. The ambitious projections required eight weeks of meticulous planning and precision mapping to align the visuals perfectly with each landmark, using advanced hologauze and projection technology.

Therefore, his last real game was in pre-season last year while at the Kansas City Chiefs, so it'll be around one year since he last played a match.
