Remember Monday star reveals she lost wedding ring at Eurovision: "I'm gonna have a breakdown"

Yahoo19-05-2025
A member of the UK's Eurovision entry Remember Monday has said she's lost her wedding and engagement rings in Basel.
Following their performance at this year's contest, the country-pop trio took to Instagram on Sunday, where Holly-Anne Hull announced she'd lost her rings.
In the clip, Hull and her bandmates, Lauren Byrne and Charlotte Steele, were sitting on a plane, seemingly leaving Switzerland, which hosted this year's competition.
Parodying their song 'What The Hell Just Happened', which looks at the messy aftermath of a big night out, the trio said they were still wearing "last night's hair gel" and their knees hurt, before Hull added: "I'm gonna have a breakdown 'cause I've lost my wedding ring."
Speaking on Capital FM's breakfast show after returning to the UK, Hull revealed she's luckily managed to retrieve her wedding ring, while her engagement one was nowhere to be found.

"Yep. It's my engagement ring. I found my wedding ring but my engagement ring is gone," she told host Chris Stark on Monday morning.
"I honestly don't know where it is. I am so upset about it."
Revealed in March as this year's ESC entry for the UK, Remember Monday ended up in 19th place with a total of 88 points, all of which came from the jury vote.
In her Instagram Stories, Hull joked that receiving the coveted 12 points from Italian anthropomorphic mouse puppet Topo Gigio, who was the Italian spokes-rodent this year, was "the highlight of the evening".
Much like last year's Olly Alexander, this year's UK entry didn't convince the audience, receiving zero points from the public vote. The only other country to receive zero points from the public was Switzerland, which hosted the competition.

Ahead of the big ESC week, Remember Monday weighed in on the UK Eurovision curse, saying they weren't looking at the UK's betting odds not to have their performance affected.
"We're not doing it for the points," Hull told Metro in March. "We're doing it to watch that video back and be so proud of what we've done at that stage."
"You look at the history within Eurovision, the amount of winners that were like 20th in the bookies' bets. It doesn't mean anything," Steele noted, before Byrne joked: "You hear that bookies?"

Leonardo DiCaprio mortified as he's stopped and searched by police who don't recognize him

Leonardo DiCaprio ditched his usual face covering while partying in Ibiza, but he still wasn't recognized by police. The 50-year-old actor and his friends were seen being held up by cops before entering a tequila party in a video obtained by the Daily Mail. DiCaprio, wearing an all-black outfit with his signature baseball cap and a chain, looked at his phone as he waited for his turn to be searched. A woman in the background could be heard saying, ''They are searching me full-on right now.' It's unknown if the woman speaking is DiCaprio's girlfriend, 27-year-old model Vittoria Ceretti, who was with him in Ibiza. However, an insider exclusively told Page Six that the A-lister wasn't singled out by police. 'Every single person was patted down, and ID'd,' the source said, adding that there were many notable people at the party. The Spanish cops just didn't initially recognize DiCaprio. 'It's funny, they did a double take and then he went in!' the source continued. Travis Scott was denied entry into the exclusive party held at a private villa by Patron and Spanish actor and singer Aron Piper, the Daily Mail reports, but other celebs that made it in included Kendall Jenner and DiCaprio's best friend Tobey Maguire. DiCaprio is a fixture in Ibiza and has vacationed in the country multiple times over the years. Earlier this month, he and Ceretti were photographed going on Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez's mega yacht on the Spanish island. The couple also attended Bezos and Sánchez's wedding in Venice, Italy, in June. Ceretti revealed she had a wardrobe malfunction during the festivities, tearing her vintage Dolce & Gabbana dress. DiCaprio has been linked to the Italian-born model since summer 2023. But she's said that she doesn't like being known as the 'Titanic' star's girlfriend. 'As soon as you're in a relationship with someone who has a larger following than you, you become 'girlfriend of' — or 'boyfriend of,' for that matter,' she told Vogue France in March. 'And that can be extremely annoying.' 'Suddenly, people are talking about you as so-and-so's girlfriend who was so-and-so's ex,' she continued. 'So it's not nice to think that you can't love whoever you want, because of the labels people need to stick on you.' Solve the daily Crossword

Liberal Jimmy Kimmel announces Italian citizenship. Ciao, baby!

Unfortunately, I've never been to Italy, but I've visited other countries in Europe. We can enjoy the beauty in other parts of the world and learn a lot from other cultures. But I still return to America happy to be home. I love my country, and I'd never become a citizen of another country, let alone do so because of America's current political climate. Yet, that's exactly what late night talk show host Jimmy Kimmel just did. During an appearance on the "The Sarah Silverman Podcast," on Aug. 7, Kimmel said he obtained Italian citizenship and alluded that it was because of President Donald Trump, though he didn't expressly say that. "A lot of people I know are thinking about where they can get citizenship," Silverman said. Kimmel replied, "I did get Italian citizenship." "What's going on is as bad as you thought it was going to be," Kimmel said. Silverman replied, "Way worse." "It's so much worse. It's just unbelievable," Kimmel said. "Like I feel like it's probably even worse than he would like it to be." It's not clear if Kimmel plans to move to Italy or continue to live and work in the United States. Did someone forward you this newsletter?Sign up here to get it delivered in your inbox every Thursday. It's free! Kimmel has long been a harsh critic of Trump. Ironically, as Trump makes dramatic changes that will help the American people, late night talk shows like Kimmel's have taken a hit. "Late Show" host Stephen Colbert's show was canceled in July, even though his ratings beat Kimmel's and 'Tonight Show' host Jimmy Fallon's. Trump, not one to shy from trash talking his political foes, has predicted that Kimmel and Fallon will be canceled next. I have a sliver of respect for liberals who make good on their threat to leave America when a Republican is elected. At the same time, it's silly. We are blessed to live in the most powerful country in the world, and it's the people who elect our president, Republican or Democrat. If a person as wealthy and famous as Kimmel isn't happy to live in America because of Trump, by all means, don't let the door hit you on the way out. When an intelligent and funny guy like Kimmel says America under Trump is worse than he thought it would be, what does he mean? Our economy is thriving, the border is secure, taxes have been cut and there might soon be peace in the Middle East and Ukraine thanks to Trump. I guess that's not enough for Kimmel, So, enjoy the gelato. I'll enjoy my freedom. Read more from me and my colleagues:

Minnie Driver, 55, Stuns in Tiny Black Bikini as She Laments 'Being Alone for This Long'

Minnie Driver, 55, Stuns in Tiny Black Bikini as She Laments 'Being Alone for This Long' originally appeared on Parade. Actress , 55, is spending the summer in Italy while filming Season 5 of Netflix's hit comedy Emily in Paris. And if spending the summer in Italy sounds like a dream, the Good Will Hunting actress is well aware of her good fortune. But being there without her partner Addison O'Dea and her 16-year-old son, Henry Driver, is putting a bit of a wrench in her Italian is making limoncello out of lemons, as shown in a recent social media post where the 55-year-old stunner rocked a teeny black bikini while lamenting spending the summer alone. In the post, Driver shares a series of photos from a solo beach day, including a supermodel-worthy overhead swimsuit shot (snapped by a kind woman sitting nearby, according to Driver). She also recounts a charming story about a lifeguard attempting to rescue her during a lengthy ocean swim—mistaking her peaceful solo swim for someone in distress. "Slightly ambivalent about being alone for this long, but the lady next to me took the very nice overhead shot showing off my @leftonfriday swimsuit, and I swam for 1.5 miles until a lifeguard in a pedalo (❗️🫶🏼) arrived to ask me if I was ok. Something seemed to make sense to him when I told him I was British. I love my work and I miss my family, I suppose these things must just live side by side."Driver's friends and fans were equally impressed by her flawless figure (seriously giving 55 a good name, Minnie!) and her long ocean swim, while also empathizing with the mixed emotions of being in such a beautiful place without loved ones to share it with. 🎬SIGN UP for Parade's Daily newsletter to get the latest pop culture news & celebrity interviews delivered right to your inbox🎬 Minnie Driver, 55, Stuns in Tiny Black Bikini as She Laments 'Being Alone for This Long' first appeared on Parade on Aug 10, 2025 This story was originally reported by Parade on Aug 10, 2025, where it first appeared.
