Gino D'Acampo unveils plans for TV comeback after being axed from ITV
Gino is plotting his return to television with a new travel series. Gino D'Acampo is planning his return to television with a new travel series and a foray into acting, The Mirror has revealed. The celebrity chef stepped back from the public eye following allegations of sexually inappropriate behaviour were made against him. After the allegations, which Gino has completely denied, the This Morning chef was removed from ITV's programming in February. Now the Italian presenter has revealed plans to return to the small screen with a new travelogue, to be filmed later this year. He also is trying his hand at acting and is involved in a series shot in Ireland in which he plays a mechanic. Speaking about what is next for him, he said: "We have a TV project for later this year in September, I want to go all around Malta, it's a show called An Italian In Malta. 'The idea is to show everyone all over the world a bit about the country - I want to find the perfect restaurant, the perfect recipe, the perfect spot, I will speak to the local people, what they cook and how they cooked 200 years ago." Speaking about the mystery series, which sees him acting for the first time, he shared: "I am playing a part in a series, my part is this Italian-American mechanic that is always in trouble with the police or always in trouble with the law and then he became a mechanic and he's helping the main character in the show. This is acting now, I'm not becoming a real mechanic, I'm useless at stuff like that." Gino opened his first international restaurant in Malta called Luciano at the start of June to rave reviews. Unlike in the UK, he is enjoying life of a superstar again out there. "I think Malta has done a lot for me, the Maltese have been very welcoming and have said 'hi I'm pleased that you're here' and I am so grateful for that,' he told Vibe Fm Podcast. The 48-year-old has 'firmly denied' accusations of inappropriate behaviour including using sexualised and aggressive language over a period of 12 years made in an ITV News investigation. He said they were 'simply not in my nature'. Following the allegations, it was claimed that his Gordon, Gino and Fred's Road Trip co-star Gordon Ramsay had distanced himself from the presenter. But Gino insists they're still firm friends. He said: "I think there is this misconception that when he was in his 30s in London he was chasing the stars and the pressure in the kitchen in the 90s was high, things were flying around the kitchen but now Gordon is a different man, he's a very generous, cool guy, but you don't want to annoy him. Well I can, I do shows with him - we go around the world. If I FaceTime here he would answer of course, but if I FaceTime him and I'm on a show he will be really annoyed." Georgia Harrison says she is 'beyond honoured and grateful' after being awarded MBE for campaigning on violence against women following ex Stephen Bear's imprisonment
Love Island star Georgia Harrison has made history becoming the first contestant from the hit ITV show to be awarded an MBE. The reality star, 30, was recognised in the King's honours list for her powerful campaigning to crack down on revenge porn, following the horrifying ordeal with her ex-boyfriend, Stephen Bear. Stephen - famed for his appearances on TV show Ex on the Beach - was sentenced to 21 months in March 2023 after a jury found him guilty of voyeurism and disclosing private, sexual photographs and films after he leaked a sex tape of Georgia. Georgia, who's currently expecting her first baby, bravely spoke out after Stephen was convicted for posting the explicit video online without her consent, a case that sparked national debate and led to real legal reform. After hearing the news that her campaigning efforts have now been officially recognised by King Charles, who awarded her the Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) honour, Georgia took to social media to thank her fans and supporters. From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the DailyMail's new Showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. She said she was 'so grateful' for the recognition after sharing her painful journey publicly. The TV star penned: 'I am beyond honoured to be listed to receive an MBE!! 'I'm so grateful to anyone who has reach out to congratulate me and also to all of you who have shared and continue to share your stories with me along the way. 'I am continuously reading them all, taking on board your experiences and using them as both fuel and knowledge for my campaigning.' She added: 'My experience changed me in many ways but one of those ways was that I became a voice for the women that can't be heard.' Promising to always help others wherever she can, Georgia finished her post saying: 'I always promise to rise to the opportunities that seek my help within regulating the digital space and do my best to make change where possible ❤️' Fans and fellow celebs flooded her social media with messages of support after the announcement writing: 'You deserve it ❤️❤️❤️' 'Incredible Georgia and just look at you now mate' Fans and fellow celebs flooded her social media with messages of support after the announcement 'YESSS you deserve this so much darling ❤️ forever proud of you!! Xx' 'So important, I love all the work you're doing. I hope it keeps more women safe, and provides relief for those who experienced a violent sexual act.' 'Congratulations, you truly are an amazing young woman and so inspiring to many others' 'Never doubted for a second that you'd come this far and make such a difference & show the world your strength forever proud G❤️' Since the horrendous ordeal, Georgia has become a fierce advocate for victims of image-based abuse, playing a key role in changing public attitudes and pushing for tougher laws. After serving just half of his prison time, Stephen was released in January, but Georgia continues to campaign for women and girls following the painful 'violation' of her privacy. The TV star has been at the centre of two ITV documentaries, Revenge Porn, and Porn, Power, Profit, which explored both her own personal experience and how predators make money from the industry. Speaking in Revenge Porn, Essex-born Georgia said: 'Two years ago, my life changed forever when CCTV footage of me having sex with Stephen Bear went viral. He filmed and shared it without my consent then tried to deny it was me… 'I think I expected some form of empathy, remorse, maybe that he would realise what he had done… what a slap in the face that on top of everything, he thought he could lie his way publicly through this. On her decision to waive her right to anonymity, Georgia said ahead of speaking in court: 'Hopefully one day, girls can look at me and think 'She went in there and done it, she was strong. We can do it.'' Georgia first found fame on reality series TOWIE in 2014 but her following grew thanks to her 2017 appearance on Love Island. The TV star, who's also appeared on The Challenge and Celebrity: SAS Who Dares Wins, returned to the dating series this year for Love Island: All Stars, where she made the final. She announced in April that she and boyfriend Jack Stacey are expecting their first baby together following a 10-month whirlwind romance.

ITV The Chase awkward moment as celebrity guest makes epic blunder
Our community members are treated to special offers, promotions and adverts from us and our partners. You can check out at any time. More info A celebrity edition of ITV's The Chase turned hilarious when Paralympic star Hollie Arnold made a side-splitting error in the cash builder round. Joined by her former I'm A Me Out of Here! campmates, including AJ Pritchard, Giovanna Fletcher, and Russell Watson, they faced off with Paul Sinha - The Sinnerman - in hopes of winning funds for charity. The moment that had everyone chuckling occurred when Hollie was asked by host Bradley Walsh: "In 2019, which boxer beat Andy Ruiz Jr to reclaim his heavyweight world titles?" She confidently answered: "AJ Pritchard." As the studio erupted into laughter during the repeated episode shown again on Saturday, Hollie gestured towards the professional dancer nearby, promptly correcting herself amid laughter: "I meant to say AJ!" referring clearly to Anthony Joshua, the true heavyweight boxing champion, not the Strictly Come Dancing alum. (Image: ITV) AJ responded to the mix-up with good nature, quipping, "I'll take it anyway," while Bradley couldn't resist teasing, "You're getting your AJ Pritchards mixed up with your Anthony Joshuas," reports the Express. Even The Sinnerman joined in on the fun, joking: "Not only are you a world champion javelin thrower, you've created a world champion boxer in seat one." Hollie managed to bank £3,000 despite the gaffe, but chose to go with a safer £1,000 lower offer later on, to ensure she rejoined her teammates. The team on The Chase faced a heart-stopping moment as they reached the Final Chase with a whopping £72,000 at stake, only to be caught by the Chaser with a mere eight seconds left on the clock. (Image: ITV) Despite not answering any questions in the final round, Hollie and her teammates each took home £1,000 for their chosen charities. However, fans were less than thrilled to realise that the episode, which first aired less than two months prior, was a repeat – a move that has drawn criticism towards ITV. The channel previously faced backlash for re-airing a Soccer Aid celebrity special featuring England football icon David James alongside Lianne Sanderson, Dion Dublin, and Shaun Williamson, with Chaser Darragh Ennis as their opponent. Disgruntled viewers took to social media to express their annoyance, with one commenting on X: "Another repeat even when it's for charity? Lazy @ITV very lazy!" Echoing the sentiment, others chimed in with remarks such as "A no from me celeb repeat WTF," and queries like "How many times are they going to play this episode?" (Image: ITV) Frustration mounted as another fan questioned: "Are we in repeat season for #thechase now? No new episodes until September? If so, why not give it a rest and show something else?" Further criticism came from a viewer who pointed out: "Over 1100 episodes recorded and @ITV decide to repeat a repeat that was on 3 weeks ago ! ! ! Brilliant". The Chase is on ITV1 weekdays at 5pm and ITVX
