ITV The Chase awkward moment as celebrity guest makes epic blunder
A celebrity edition of ITV's The Chase turned hilarious when Paralympic star Hollie Arnold made a side-splitting error in the cash builder round. Joined by her former I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! campmates, including AJ Pritchard, Giovanna Fletcher, and Russell Watson, they faced off with Paul Sinha - The Sinnerman - in hopes of winning funds for charity.
The moment that had everyone chuckling occurred when Hollie was asked by host Bradley Walsh: "In 2019, which boxer beat Andy Ruiz Jr to reclaim his heavyweight world titles?" She confidently answered: "AJ Pritchard."
As the studio erupted into laughter during the repeated episode shown again on Saturday, Hollie gestured towards the professional dancer nearby, promptly correcting herself amid laughter: "I meant to say AJ!" referring clearly to Anthony Joshua, the true heavyweight boxing champion, not the Strictly Come Dancing alum.

AJ responded to the mix-up with good nature, quipping, "I'll take it anyway," while Bradley couldn't resist teasing, "You're getting your AJ Pritchards mixed up with your Anthony Joshuas," reports the Express.
Even The Sinnerman joined in on the fun, joking: "Not only are you a world champion javelin thrower, you've created a world champion boxer in seat one."
Hollie managed to bank £3,000 despite the gaffe, but chose to go with a safer £1,000 lower offer later on, to ensure she rejoined her teammates.
The team on The Chase faced a heart-stopping moment as they reached the Final Chase with a whopping £72,000 at stake, only to be caught by the Chaser with a mere eight seconds left on the clock.

Despite not answering any questions in the final round, Hollie and her teammates each took home £1,000 for their chosen charities.
However, fans were less than thrilled to realise that the episode, which first aired less than two months prior, was a repeat – a move that has drawn criticism towards ITV.
The channel previously faced backlash for re-airing a Soccer Aid celebrity special featuring England football icon David James alongside Lianne Sanderson, Dion Dublin, and Shaun Williamson, with Chaser Darragh Ennis as their opponent.
Disgruntled viewers took to social media to express their annoyance, with one commenting on X: "Another repeat even when it's for charity? Lazy @ITV very lazy!"
Echoing the sentiment, others chimed in with remarks such as "A no from me celeb repeat WTF," and queries like "How many times are they going to play this episode?"
(Image: ITV)
Frustration mounted as another fan questioned: "Are we in repeat season for #thechase now? No new episodes until September? If so, why not give it a rest and show something else?"
Further criticism came from a viewer who pointed out: "Over 1100 episodes recorded and @ITV decide to repeat a repeat that was on 3 weeks ago ! ! ! Brilliant".
The Chase is on ITV1 weekdays at 5pm and ITVX

Loose Women's Janet Street Porter sets record straight on show future after 'sad' setback
Loose Women's Janet Street Porter sets record straight on show future after 'sad' setback As part of ITV's major 2026 overhaul, Loose Women will move to a seasonal schedule of 30 weeks per year and will no longer feature a studio audience Janet Street Porter said she won't be affected by the changes Loose Women star Janet Street Porter has opened up about the upcoming changes to the show, as part of ITV's scheduling plans. Set to come into force in 2026, episodes of the daytime favourite will be reduced, and will no longer have a live audience. With the programme scheduled to air just 30 weeks per year, there's speculation that the current roster of 26 panellists may also face cuts. Speaking on the matter, the 78-year-old broadcaster claimed that these changes won't impact her much. "They won't really affect me because I work when I want to work," she told Woman Magazine. "I can see they need to save money but from my point of view, I'm sad they've cut the episodes because Loose Women as a brand is doing extremely well for ITV. "Very well indeed. It's increased its audience share and it's loved by the audience." Janet Street Porter doesn't believe the long-term panellists will be axed from the show Having joined the panel back in 2011, Janet is among the show's longstanding contributors alongside the likes of Ruth Langsford, Jane Moore and Kaye Adams. In a previous interview, the journalist insisted that she and "the older" panellists will not be axed. She told Bella Magazine: "There are no plans to get rid of the older women, despite of what some people have said! "In fact, the reverse is true. ITV actually put out a statement saying we are the valued members of the show because the audience totally relate to us." Janet also believes the show has become "trusted by a lot of women", due to the difficult topics the panellists discuss, from female health to domestic violence. "I think the show has managed to connect to women who wouldn't otherwise have a voice," she added. "And it's delivered with a lot of laughs because we don't take ourselves too seriously." Loose Women's Nadia Sawalha said she found the cuts 'brutal' (Image: ITV) While Janet has a nonchalant attitude towards the change-up, her co-host Nadia Sawalha expressed a different view. In a heartfelt video on her YouTube channel, the actress described the sudden cuts as "absolutely brutal". Addressing the uncertainty of her future on the show due to her self-employed status, she added: "I could be let go tomorrow, [or] I could be let go in five years, you don't know because we're not employees." Alongside Loose Women, Lorraine Kelly's eponymous show will also shift to a 30-week seasonal schedule, and will see its airtime reduced from one hour to 30 minutes. Kevin Lygo, the managing director of ITV's Media and Entertainment Division, acknowledged in a statement that the broadcaster is undergoing a "transition". He stated: "I recognise that our plans will have an impact on staff off screen in our Daytime production teams. "We will work with ITV Studios and ITN as they manage these changes to produce the shows differently from next year, and support them through this transition." Ruth Langsford addresses being 'in crisis' following breakdown of Eamonn Holmes marriage
Ruth Langsford addressed the notion of being 'in crisis' following the breakdown of her marriage to Eamonn Holmes during Tues Ruth Langsford has addressed the notion of being 'in crisis' following the breakdown of her marriage to Eamonn Holmes. The presenter, who called time on her marriage to her former This Morning co-host in 2024, was back in her usual seat as anchor on Tuesday's edition of Loose Women when she, along with Coleen Nolan, Myleene Klass and Katie Piper discussed the idea of going through a midlife crisis. She said: "There's a point where you are in crisis actually whether you've made the decision to end your marriage or it's been made for you or you've lost your job or you've decided to leave your job. Sometimes you have that moment where you go, 'Oh no, what's happened to me?' Despite this, Ruth, 65, admitted that one can sometimes 'surprise themselves' in the wake of a big life event like a marriage split, even though there can be a lot of 'panic' to begin with, especially when age comes into consideration. She added: "I think you can surprise yourself - you have that moment where you panic panic panic and the age thing comes into it. You think oh no I'm 65 what will I do?" And in quoting the famous song I Will Survive by Gloria Gaynor, Ruth insisted that the best way to get through something like a split is just to 'deal with it' all head on. She said: "But like the song, do I crumble? Do I lay down and die? Or do I survive? You just have to get up and dust yourself off and whatever that new path is going to be, you have to deal with it." Ruth's comments come just one day amid fresh heartbreak for her, and the former Strictly Come Dancing star recently spoke out about how she manages to balance her hectic television career with caring for her 94-year-old mother Joan, who is battling Alzheimer's. She said: "She wouldn't remember what she's had for her lunch or breakfast, and if I go and see her, when I leave, if you said to her was Ruth here today, she'd say no. But in the moment, she still knows it's me – as soon as she sees me, she says 'Oh, what a lovely surprise!' like she hasn't seen me for months. "It's very difficult, but I'm much more well-versed in this with my mum, because of my dad. We as a family had no idea about Alzheimer's or dementia when he got it, and we were a bit lost. I learned a lot of lessons with my dad." Ruth and Eamonn, who have 23-year-old son Jack together, have been relatively quiet about the ins and outs of their private life since the split happened, but Eamonn recently told his social media followers that Maggie will feature in the Times this week. He wrote: "So much interest and Love for Maggie following yesterday's post to the extent that she is going to star in @thetimes on line from tomorrow and this week's Sunday Times." The GB News host, who has experience health issues in recent years but has been spotted out and about with new girlfriend Katie Alexander, went on to say that his ex does "all the hard stuff" with Maggie. He said: "Ruth does all the hard stuff with her because of my Wheelchair restrictions but working hard to hopefully get better soon and adopt another #Rescue #Dog like we did from @dogstrust all those years ago!" The presenter added: "Maggie changed my life and she was making me very happy in The Sunshine today. In many ways she reminds me of my dearly departed Mum - a really bad knee and hardly any teeth left but not bad for a 17 year old!" Eamonn, who is a patron of rescue group K-9 Angels, concluded: "Please try to Adopt and Not Shop if u can. from organisations like @thek9angels and @dogstrust Enjoy the Sunshine but please be aware of your dog in a car and it's little feet on hot pavements. Bye from Maggie and Me."

Myleene Klass breaks down as she comforts Gladiators star over baby loss
Loose Women's Myleene Klass broke down on the ITV show as Gladiators' Zack George and his wife Samantha spoke about the tragic death of their baby son Leo. The couple lost their newborn Leo earlier this year, having been told my doctors that he would be born at 23 weeks and had a slim chance of survival. Speaking about the final days of baby Leo's life, Samantha said: "They always say how much of a rocky road it is all the time and it's true - you have some really good days where you think, 'He's going to come out of here amazing,' and you have other days when the consultant will call you into a room and talk to you as if he only has 12 hours to live." Loose Women panellist Myleene began holding hands with Samantha, and said through tears: "I'm so sorry. I think you're so brave." * This is a breaking showbiz news story.
