On Monday, June 2, the actress narrowly avoided a nip slip on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon as she figured out a way to cover her exposed chest.
The 35-year-old actress, who was promoting her upcoming film Materialists, made an entrance in a very cleavage-baring Ferragamo blazer that she admitted was the "wrong outfit" for the occasion. "My eyes are up here," she joked with host Jimmy Fallon.
Later on in the interview, Johnson asked Fallon, 50, to tell her if there was a "problem" with her ensemble and jokingly asked anyone if they had a blanket she could use. Fallon swooped in with a tissue that Johnson slipped into the jacket's plunging neckline.
"That what I do when I have a cold," she said.

The tissue only lasted a few seconds before Johnson passed it back to Fallon who joked, "I"m putting this on eBay this evening."
Eventually, Johnson found a better solution after Fallon handed her a cardigan that he actually got from her dad, Don Johnson. "That's what we've been waiting for," he said.

Johnson found herself in a similar predicament last June after one of her dress straps "fell off" in the middle of her appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live. Like a true pro, Johnson kept her dress in place for the rest of interview without exposing herself.
What appeared to kick-off Johnson's streak of late night wardrobe malfunctions was when, during an appearance The Late Late Show with James Corden in 2022, she had a hard time sitting comfortably in another short dress.
"It's nothing nobody hasn't already seen," she added, in reference to her nudity in the Fifty Shades franchise.
Amid promotion for Materialists, out June 13 and starring Pedro Pascal and Chris Evans, Johnson has been strutting her stuff in a variety of designer looks.
For a causal stroll in N.Y.C. on Friday, May 30, she paired a cool off-duty outfit with Ophelia Eve and Sophie Billie jewelry totaling over $100,000 in diamonds. She also stepped out for two stylish girls' night outs with Taylor Swift (their dinner at West Village's Via Carota saw Johnson in a strapless black Ferragamo dress and a Roberto Coin necklace) and Jennifer Lawrence, which the Madame Web star attended in an earth-tone menswear-inspired look with a cherry red purse.

But inside palace walls, hesitation reigns. There has been a desire to reconnect at times, but "the underlying issue is trust," royal biographer Sally Bedell Smith tells PEOPLE. "The King and William don't trust Harry and Meghan with any kind of confidential conversation," Bedell Smith says. Insiders add that King Charles isn't encouraged by his inner circle. The Prince of Wales has shown no interest in extending an olive branch, and senior aides like Clive Alderton, who was targeted in Spare, are unlikely to encourage outreach.
