Nivin as Hari and Nayanthara in cop role
The one-minute clip hints at a story that weaves together school life, personal relationships, and plenty of action. Nivin plays Hari, a restaurateur with a flair for humour, while Nayanthara slips into the uniform of a police officer. The pairing is set to deliver a mix of light-hearted banter and high-energy sequences — a blend that worked wonders for them six years ago.

The teaser opens with Hari telling Nayanthara's character that he serves everything from spicy to mild, Mexican to Lebanese, showing off his playful charm.
When she says she wants to discuss something personal, he lights up — only for her to sarcastically invite him to sit on her lap when he flirts.
The teaser also introduces a group of schoolchildren whose connection to the main story is kept under wraps. The teaser closes with a surprise which is a character revealing that Hari and Nayanthara are police, leaving Hari utterly stunned.
Big cast, bigger expectations
'Dear Students' boasts an ensemble cast including Aju Varghese, Sharafudheen, Suresh Krishna, Mallika Sukumaran, Lal, Jagadish, Johny Antony, Nandu, Reddin Kingsley, and Shaju Sreedhar. Cinematography is by Anand C. Chandran and Shinos, music by Justin Varghese and Sibi Mathew Alex, and editing by Lal Krishna.
On the other hand, Nivin Pauly is yet to make a good comeback after a series of underwhelming movies. Nayanthara's previous outing was the thriller 'Test' which had received decent reviews from the viewers.

The accident occurred around 5 am, around 30 km from the district headquarters, when the mini bus, carrying a Gujarat-based music troupe, was returning from a programme at the Kashi Vishwanath Temple in Varanasi, Survaya police station SHO Arvind Chari said. According to the police, the bus driver lost control, entered the wrong lane, and collided with the truck. The deceased included Hardik Dave (37), a singer in the troupe, Raja Thakur (28), Ankit Thakur (17), and Rajendra Solanki (47), all members of the band. The injured have been admitted to hospitals in the area. A preliminary probe suggests that the driver of the mini bus, which had 17 people onboard, might have dozed off at the wheel. Speaking with Pinkvilla, the actress admitted that ending the marriage was one of the toughest choices of her life. 'Of course I would have loved for my marriage to be forever. But that didn't happen. That doesn't mean I have lost faith in love, or that I made a huge mistake,' she said.
