'One simple beauty swap has transformed my make-up and it's so affordable'
I have probably had the same makeup routine for a decade - so trying new things has always been a scary thought. But as I get older, and my face changes, I have been a little more open to new products and when I find something that earns a permament spot in my makeup bag, I won't stop raving about it.
I admit, I do stick to what I know, especially when it comes to mascara. I have always opted for classic black and finding a good one is no mean feat. However since discovering a new brown mascara, it's totally transformed my whole makeup look.
I think brown mascara has always been a no-go zone for me, as my lashes are already very dark, so it seemed like the obvious choice to stick to black. But when I came across the Sculpted By Aimee LashLift brown mascara my opinion changed.
As soon as I applied it, it completely softened my features, I have very, very dark thick eyebrows, so I noticed how much of a difference the brown made. Don't get me wrong, it toned down my makeup, but I think for a day-to-day look it's better as it's a lot more natural.
I used to want really dark, thick lashes, heavy eyeshadow and eyeliner - I admit, looking back it perhaps wasn't my best look, but we all have those eras of makeup we choose to just pretend didn't happen. So as I've got older, I've swayed more for a natural look and I am really enjoying more of a natural look.
My eyebrows have even followed suit. As much I loved 2016 eye makeup with heavy eyeshadow, thick eyebrows and false eyelashes. I have really toned down my eyes, including hardly filling in my eyebrows - and I feel like the brown mascara is the newest change I have made in a mission to strip back my daily makeup look.
I am also very fussy when it comes to mascara as can be prone to having black undereyes after a few hours, so for me it's important a good mascara won't budge - and I didn't notice this happening with the Sculpted by Aimee LashLift one. It lifted my lashes after a few coats thanks to the wand's multi-level bristle technology, designed to apply the product from the root to the tip of your lashes, with the nourishing, weightless formula to separate and coat each lash.
Formulated with lightweight polymers, and minimal waxes, the bristles glide effortlessly through lashes, preventing any clumping, and delivering a lifting effect. And it's not just me that has been raving about it, with shoppers rating it an impressive 4.4 out of 5 as one person said: "Love this product, the colour is amazing, I'm never a brown mascara girl but you have converted me!! It's fab and what it does, is in the name!"
While another said: "It's really beautiful one that gives lash lift, deep black eyelashes and holds well for the whole day but it goes flaky on me and that's a big downside."
A similar mascara is the Lancôme Lash Idôle Mascara Brown currently on offer for (£22.40) Providing up to 24 hours of visible lift, volume and length, the formula offers one-swipe saturation while fanning out every last lash - while creating a soft look on the eyes.
Alternatively, a cheaper option is the Revolution Wrap Lash Tubing Mascara (£10.99) that contains the revolutionary tubing technology. It is made with a nourishing formula of Shea Butter, Carnauba Wax And Castor Oil to care while you wear.

Dunelm's 'vibrant' and 'super comfy' garden chairs reduced to £50
The loungers are reduced in a deal that makes each seat cost just over £24. When the weather gets dry and warm again, people will be eager to do one thing - make the most of it. For many, basking in the warm weather is the ultimate way to unwind during the summer - but you'll need proper seating to do it comfortably. Most probably snapped up garden furniture at the start of the season to make the most of recent scorching spells. However, if you missed out - or simply fancy upgrading your current outdoor seating - Dunelm has slashed prices on a pair of "vibrant" colourful loungers, promising "optimal comfort." The Helsinki Loungers are now available as a twin pack for £48.50, reduced from £69, meaning each seat works out at just over £24, reports the Mirror. This duo deal comes in exclusive colours - navy blue and lilypad green - that are unavailable when purchasing individual chairs. Dunelm wrote that these low-maintenance loungers"redefine outdoor comfort" thanks to adjustable backrests that allow for personalised reclining angles. Made from robust materials built to endure the elements, these loungers "promise longevity without compromising on style or comfort," according to Dunelm. Alternative options are available elsewhere for those seeking a quick solution to their garden seating needs - including the Folding Metal Zero Gravity Sun Lounger (Argos, £45) or the Colorado Grey Metal Sun Lounger (B&Q, £35 down from £50). But, hundreds of customers have shared rave reviews online after purchasing the Dunelm garden set. One said: "Lovely comfy reclining chairs, I actually fell asleep in them!" Another added: "Great value and lovely colour. Sturdy, easy to assemble and store. Very comfy to sit in too!" A third wrote: "Sturdy, easy to set up and super comfy. Perfect colour to go with our garden décor too (true to ad pictures), and they don't take a ton of space when folded away in the garage. At that price for a pair, you can't go wrong with these!" However, a few customers encountered problems, with one claiming: "The cords that hold the seats to the frame are fraying heavily and have broken in several places. They are now unusable." Meanwhile, another suggested: "Very comfortable chairs although a little fiddly to open." Someone else pointed out: "The knobs that make them recline are plastic and so seem a bit fragile so not sure how long they will last. Also one of the chairs seems to very slowly go back to upright position, so have to keep adjusting it." Nevertheless, most reviews were glowing. One customer who gave five stars commented: "Love these loungers - easy to fold and unfold, very comfortable. The green goes beautifully in my garden." Another buyer posted: "Great design and very sturdy. Easy to use and move around the garden." Whilst someone else wrote: "The loungers are great, they are exactly the colour I wanted, comfortable and easy to use and no self assembly required and a great price."

'I usually avoid full coverage foundations but L'Oreal's new launch has changed my mind'
Mirror's shopping writer Grace swears by hydrating skin tints for her everyday base, but can L'Oreal's new full coverage 2-in-1 foundation and concealer compete? When it comes to foundation and base products, I've already leaned towards lower coverage skin tints. I love the hydrated, non-cakey finish they tend to leave on the skin. My go-tos include Ilia's Super Serum Skin Tint, £42, Sculpted By Aimee's Hydra Tint, £23, and Revolution's ultra-affordable Skin Blur Soft Focus Skin Tint, £5. However, recently I've been on the hunt for a fuller coverage foundation for those days when I'm looking for a little extra polish or want my makeup to last from the office straight through to post-work drinks. After trialling a few that felt thick, drying, and heavy, I finally stumbled on a winner. The product that's earned its spot in my routine is L'Oreal Paris' new Infallible Skin Ink 2-in-1 Foundation and Concealer, priced at a purse-friendly £14.99. This clever 2-in-1 hybrid acts as both a foundation and concealer, offering buildable coverage with a soft matte finish that still feels lightweight and breathable on the skin What I love about this complexion product is that it's designed to blend seamlessly, leaving behind no unwanted lines or patches, so your skin still looks like skin, just smoother. At the same time, it delivers more coverage than a skin tint or tinted moisturiser, effectively covering spots, pigmentation, or blemishes without feeling cakey. And because it's a two-in-one product, it cuts out the need to layer concealer on top, helping to keep your base fresh and natural. It also uses fusion technology to give coverage that stays put for up to 48 hours, meaning no midday touch-ups are needed. Another bonus is that it makes a great handbag product to carry around due to its compact and small size. As I mentioned, touch-ups aren't really needed. However, if you're in the office and want a little extra coverage for the evening, you can easily slot this in your bag and use it on the go thanks to its handy doe-foot applicator. My skin is oilier, so if you have very dry skin, you might struggle with this product clinging to dry patches. To combat this, I make sure my skin is fully prepped with a hydration moisturiser and a milky toner or serum underneath. My favourite ones are BYOMA's Hydrating Milky Toner, £11.99, Curel's Moisture Facial Milk, £20, and Beauty of Joseon's Glow Replenishing Rice Milk, £15.50. I love the glow they give and how much they moisturise the skin, especially when prepping it for make-up.
