Broncos LB Alex Singleton on track to return for Week 1
Broncos linebacker Alex Singleton played 190 defensive snaps last season, with 49 coming after he tore an anterior cruciate ligament.
Singleton injured his knee on the eighth play of the Week 3 win over the Buccaneers on Sept. 22. He didn't miss a snap in the game, but the injury did end the rest of his season.
He gave Zac Stevens of DNVR a promising update Tuesday.
' It's good . I feel like I'm on schedule. It's feeling really good,' Singleton said. 'I'm working my way in to doing things with the guys, which has been the most important thing to kind of be on that timeline with everyone else during the offseason. I'm able to do that. Full speed ahead for me. We're going to just keep attacking this like everything else. Excited for this season.'
Singleton doesn't have a timeline when doctors will clear him to return for football activities, but he promises to be on the field for Week 1.
'I still can't technically fully say, but let's just say that there should be no worries about '49' playing this year,' Singleton said. 'I'll be out there.'
Singleton has worked with the team's vice president of player health and performance Beau Lowery every day since his surgery Oct. 15. He posted video to his Instagram of him running full speed.
'Let's just say we're in a really good spot,' Singleton said. 'You get three more months. Three more. So we're good.'

Former Florida Gators and Ohio State Buckeyes head coach Urban Meyer discussed the Georgia Bulldogs' prospects for the 2025 college football season on "The Triple Option" podcast. The podcast features Meyer, former Alabama Crimson Tide running back Mark Ingram and fellow FOX college football analyst Rob Stone. We have a copy of Georgia's schedule and can clearly see that the Bulldogs play seven home games, which is very common in this era of college. Georgia does play a pair of neutral site games against Florida and Georgia Tech. The Bulldogs only have three true road games, so that's what Meyer is trying to get at. Advertisement It is a little embarrassing that Meyer, who obviously coached at Florida, did not realize that the Georgia-Florida game is played a neutral site on UGA's schedule. We also can see Ohio State's schedule from their 2024 national championship season, where the Buckeyes did actually play nine home games (includes one home game in the College Football Playoff). The Buckeyes played a three-game regular season nonconference slate of Akron, Western Kentucky and Marshall and had eight regular season games at home, which is a lot. As for Florida, the Gators had a challenging 2024 schedule that still featured seven home games. The Gators have six home games in 2025 while Ohio State had seven home games in 2025, which is the same amount as Georgia. Despite a weak nonconference schedule, Georgia's schedule is by no means easy. The Bulldogs play Alabama, Texas and Ole Miss at home and have road games against Auburn and Tennessee. Neutral site contests against Florida and Georgia Tech present significant challenges as well. Why does Reddick think he'll be able to pick that up easily? The reality is that Reddick has become a major enigma in NFL circles. The more he stays away from the team during the voluntary workout phase, the weirder this whole situation looks. Tampa's rushing attack will make things very difficult for both Philly and San Fran, And it could fundamentally shift the balance of power in the conference going forward.
