Naveen Polishetty's ‘Anaganaga Oka Raju' set for Sankranthi 2026 release
After a brief hiatus, star entertainer Naveen Polishetty is all set to return to the silver screen with his upcoming film Anaganaga Oka Raju. Known for his impeccable comic timing and three consecutive box-office blockbusters, Naveen is now eyeing a festive release with this much-awaited family entertainer.
The makers officially announced that Anaganaga Oka Raju will hit theatres on January 14, 2026, as a grand Sankranthi treat. Promising to be a full-blown festive celebration, the first look poster exudes vibrant, celebratory vibes, hinting at the film's colourful and humorous tone.
Backed by hit producer Naga Vamsi under the Sithara Entertainments and Fortune Four Cinemas banners, and presented by Srikara Studios, the film is expected to continue the production houses' successful streak. With recent Sankranthi hit Daaku Maharaaj under their belt, expectations are high for another winner in Anaganaga Oka Raju.
What makes this project even more exciting is that Naveen Polishetty himself has contributed to the film's story and screenplay, collaborating with a fresh team of writers. The film marks the directorial debut of Maari and features the much-talked-about Meenakshi Chaudhary as the female lead.

Suriya offers prayers at Palani Murugan temple ahead of beginning work on director Venky Atluri's film
Chennai: Actor Suriya, along with director Venky Atluri and his team, on Thursday offered prayers at the world renowned Palani Murugan temple, ahead of the film's shooting which is to begin on June 9. Sources close to the unit of the film, which is being tentatively referred to as #Suriya46, said the team visited the Palani Murugan Temple to seek divine strength before taking their first major step. It may be recalled that director Venky Atluri's upcoming film with actor Suriya, officially got launched with a pooja ceremony on May 19 this year. The film officially went on floors with ace director Trivikram delivering the first clap. Malayalam actress Mamitha Baiju, who impressed with her performance in the Malayalam romantic drama 'Premalu', plays the female lead in the film which will have music by National Award winner G V Prakash. The unit initially had said that shooting for the film would begin by the end of May. However, the producers have now confirmed that shooting for the film, which is to hit screens during the summer of 2026, will begin on June 9. Sithara Entertainments, the production house producing the film, took to its timeline on X to share the news. It wrote, "Team #Suriya46 visited Palani Murugan Temple to seek divine strength. Before taking their FIRST MAJOR kickstarts June 9th. Exciting updates rolling out soon…" Apart from Suriya and Mamitha Baiju, the film will also feature Bollywood actress Raveena Tandon and Tamil actress Radhika Sarathkumar in pivotal roles. Cinematography for the film will be by Nimish Ravi and editing will be by National Award winner Navin Nooli. Music director and actor G V Prakash, who will be joining hands with Suriya as a music director after 'Soorarai Pottru', took to X to say that this film would be as special as 'Soorarai Pottru'. It may be recalled that G V Prakash, while penning his thoughts on working with Suriya in this film had said, "After #Sooraraipottru joining hands with Suriya sir. This album will be as special as SP. This one is for you sir @Suriya_offl have got a fantastic film and album on hands.... The songs have come out superb. With the hit production house and my best combo @SitharaEnts @vamsi84 sir . And my most successful director combo #Venkyatluri. @_mamithabaiju here is #Suriya46."

Moulaye Niang, Venice I met Moulaye in his factory at Salizadar Del Pignater Burning Murano glass with flaming gas. He made beads; he made necklaces; he made earrings. As he moulded different shapes, he composed lullabies A soul on fire whispering soul into the soul of fire. He reminded me of Prometheus Who once stole fire, for the humans, From the seat of the Gods above. The fire Gave humans the light and the power of making things. This Prometheus is Othello's country man. He comes from Senegal, West Africa. He changes Murano glass into marvels of colorful shapes. This Senegalese glass artist also sings. The light and sounds of Africa are everywhere. Resurrection in Venice I met Othello in Venice but Not the one from Shakespeare Who worked for them Fought their wars Crushed their enemies In defence of Venice. He let Iago's lies Born of racism Get under his skin into his heart and head. He snuffed the life of Desdemona his love And then took his own, Freeing his soul to follow his love. I met Othello in Venice but Not the one painted by Vittore Capaccio Piloting the Venetian gondolas Gliding along their waterways The many canals small and wide On all sides of the Grand Canal. The affluent of Venice felt so good about the ride Which took them to Piazza del Marco and back Feeding their eyes on the architectural wonders Renaissance and Gothic Palaces lined on either side.
