AMAZON shoppers have been treated to a massive sale with 40 percent off thousands of items.
But you'd better be quick, the major discounts won't be around much longer.

Amazon has launched a huge sale off home essentials

Amazon's Everyday Essentials Week runs from 21 to 27 May, slashing the prices on groceries, cleaning items, beauty products, and more.
Products from big brands like Andrex, Fairy, Flash and Gillette Venus will all be discounted.
Shoppers will also be able to snap up grocery products from brands such as Cadbury and Twinings, for up to 30% cheaper.
The discounts will apply to all UK customers, with Prime members also able to access free delivery and same-day delivery in over 80 towns and cities across the UK.
Amazon said that the event will offer shoppers savings 'on products for every room of the home, and for every member of the family – from baby wipes, shampoo, and toilet roll, to coffee pods, pet food, and fabric softener.'
Bargain fans will also be pleased to learn that there will also be up to 15% off Amazon's own brand lines, including Amazon Basics and Amazon Essentials.
Whilst the sales are exciting, they've also caught the attention of vile scam artists.
Experts have revealed the most common Amazon scams and how to avoid them during the shopping frenzy.
The first being the Prime membership scam, where criminals contact victims via email or text to alert members of an 'issue' with the account.
They then send an email with a link, prompting users to 'verify' their account details.
"To avoid this, always check the sender of any email or text you receive," the QR Code Generator team told The Sun.
"As convincing as scammers can be, Amazon will never ask you to share sensitive information via phone, text or email.
"If you receive one of these messages, don't engage with it. Instead, go directly to the Amazon app or website to check the status of your account."
Another to look out for is the fake order confirmation scam, where criminals send fake emails claiming there was an issue with the order.
These emails usually contain links to fraudulent websites designed to steal personal details and payment information.
The experts told us: "If you receive an email regarding an issue with your order, do not click any links. Instead, check the status of any orders through the Amazon app or website.
"It is also advisable to enable two-factor authentication for extra security."
The third scam is the fake listing scam where scammers create false shop fronts on Amazon, offering high-demand items at unbeatable prices.
Shoppers will then be sent a counterfeit product or nothing at all.
The experts said: "It is important to always check a seller's reviews and be cautious of deals that seem suspicious. Stick to well-reviewed sellers or those marked as 'Amazon Verified.'
"If you do fall victim to a fake listing scam, you can often resolve this by contacting Amazon.
"Click 'I have an issue with a seller' on the Amazon app or website to start the refund process. However, while you may get your money back, it is safest to avoid this scam altogether."
This comes after Amazon launched a rival to Temu and Shein, with thousands of products selling for £20 or less.
'Haul' was unveiled in the UK last week, after being launched in the US last year.
The service is initially being trialled among select customers before being rolled out for all customers "in the coming weeks".

The fortress lies on Thorne Island just off the coast of Pembrokeshire in Wales. It was known for stag, hen, wedding and birthday parties under its previous owner but had been left abandoned for 17 years. It took Mike about a year just to get the fortress back to a habitable state. Decked out with 40 beds, four en-suite bathrooms and a night club the historic fortress is now back on the market for a whopping £3 million. It even comes complete with is own helipad for ease of access to the remote island fortress. It was originally built in the 1850s as a 100 man fort designed to protect the port of Milford Haven from naval attacks. In 1947 the massive fortress was converted into a hotel an hired out for events. It was then sold on in 1999 and by 2001 it was owned by the Von Essen hotel group who hoped to spend £4 million to re-open the hotel. When Mike purchased the former party island it was derelict and abandoned with the former software boss returning it to its former glory. The 'charming' Irish castle on market with a host of perks Mike said the fortress had no electricity or water supply when he bought it. The huge refurbishment project ended up costing a fortune with basic jobs like installing flushing toilets racking up a hefty £200,000 bill. It took nearly half a decade to get the party island back to a reasonable state with a crew of six men living on the island while work was carried out. Workmen would charge their phones using a generator and would have to wash in the sea. The island hosted its own festival for Mike's 50th birthday party which featured a tight rope performer above the courtyard. Mike described his time on the island as "incredible" saying it allowed him to let go of everyday routines. He doesn't live on the fortress island full time but spent a large amount of time there throughout the five year renovation project. Mike now plans to sell of the island fortress and hopes that the new owner will enjoy it as much as he did. He said the island has huge potential as a tourist attraction or to host "the most unbelievable raves." The fort can host around 800 people with Mike envisioning the site offering 24-hour experiences to visitors. He told the BBC: "I think that would be great for Wales, but I'm not in that industry and I don't know how that works. "If it was generating revenue, and creating jobs and sustaining itself, that would be a great outcome."

High street chain launches 50% off closing down sales at three more branches ahead of 26 shops shutting

Among those set to close is its store in Chard, which announced in a Facebook post that it will be closing for good on September 7. The post told customers: 'We are sorry to let you know… This store is closing. Thank you to our wonderful colleagues for your support throughout our time here in the local community.' The shop has launched a huge closing down sale, with all items now 50% off. Customers have taken to social media to share their disappointment that the store is set to close. One customer said: 'So sorry to hear that you are closing, you are all great staff, you all helped me when I was not very well in your shop thank you all again xx.' Another said: 'Shame to hear, great bunch of staff always happy and helpful.' A third added: 'What a shame, sorry to hear this.' Two other stores have also announced they will be closing. One of them is the shop in Whitchurch, Shropshire, which will close its doors for good in the coming weeks. In a post on its Facebook page it said: 'We're sadly closing our doors, but that means big savings for you. 'All stock is reduced to clear - grab up to 50% off the original price.' The news comes after The Original Factory Shop announced it is shutting three more locations. The shop in Caldicot, Wales, closed for good last week. The store in Market Drayton, Shropshire will also shut its doors for the last time on September 20. Plus The Original Factory Shop in Nairn, Scotland, has also been earmarked for closure. Meanwhile, at least four The Original Factory stores closed last month. Among them was the shop in Staveley, Chesterfield, which shut its doors for good on July 12. The shops in Caernarfon, Wales, and Bridlington, Yorkshire, closed down on July 20. Plus a final store, in Cupar, Fife, was shuttered on July 27. In total, 26 shops have closed or are set to shut this year. The Original Factory Shop did not respond to our request for comment. What is happening at TOFS? The Original Factory Shop was bought by Modella Capital, a private equity firm, in February. Modella is known for taking on struggling retailers and has also recently bought Hobbycraft and WHSmith's high street shops. The firm quickly launched a restructuring effort to renegotiate rents at 88 The Original Factory Shop stores. At the end of April, Modella drew up plans to initiate a company voluntary arrangement (CVA) for the retailer. Companies often use CVAs to avoid insolvency, which could otherwise force stores to close or trigger the collapse of the entire business. They allow firms to explore different options, such as negotiating reduced rents with landlords. The platform has also got a huge sale on today only with a massive 70% off everything. One happy shopper shared on the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK Facebook group that they had got £36 worth of items reduced to £9 in the sale. Another person said they'd managed to get £107.99 worth of items for £21.60. And another said: "Ordered the other day. 24 items for around £20!" A different person said they had bought two power banks reduced from £129 each to £16. The majority of items on the marketplace are under £10 - and with the sale on today, they'll come to even less at checkout. The service is offering free delivery on orders over £15 and you can get an extra 5% off if you spend £30. It's worth noting Amazon says orders through Haul will arrive in "two weeks or less" so you may face longer shipping times that you'd normally expect through Amazon. August Prime Gaming: 12 Free Games Worth £112 for Amazon Prime Members Some of the deals on offer currently include a Small Crossbody Bag for Women for £2.70, which still has a further 70% off at checkout. You can also get cotton pillowcases for £6.23, or a pack of microfibre face cloths for £1.80. It's worth remembering that something is only a bargain if you would have bought it anyway. Plus you should still shop around to make sure you're getting the best deal. How to use Haul Haul is only available on mobile currently but if you go on the website on your computer or laptop you'll be able to scan a QR code to access it. If you're on the app, you should be able to see Haul in the sections along the top. Otherwise you can search Haul in the search bar and hit Enter to be redirected. The launch comes as Amazon battles the rapid growth of Chinese-linked rivals such as Temu and Shein which have seen sales soar in recent years. Shein has rapidly become one of the biggest online marketplaces but has come under intense scrutiny over welfare standards.
