EastEnders fans discover Queenie Trott actress is 90s comedy star
It comes as someone said in a throwback post on Reddit: 'Classic EE: I just realised who Queenie Trott was!
'She used to star in comedy show Keeping Up Appearances playing Daisy in the 90s.
'Judy Cornwell (who played Heather's Mum) only lasted 8 episodes (2007-08) and her last appearance was only this week after seeing her daughter getting married to Minty (fake or real).
'Was it just me, or did anyone else knew who she was?'
Queenie Trott was played by Judy Cornwell, who joined the programme in 2007 and was the mother of Heather Trott.
However, in 2008, Queenie exited the BBC soap as part of a storyline that saw Heather marry her fiancé, Minty Peterson.
When Heather was murdered on EastEnders in 2012, Queenie didn't attend her funeral.
Yet before her role on EastEnders, Judy took on the character of Daisy, who was the sister of Hyacinth Bucket (Patricia Routledge) and was married to Onslow (Geoffrey Hughes) on Keeping Up Appearances.
Reacting to the discovery of Judy's role as Daisy in the BBC sitcom (from 1990 to 1995), someone responded to the original post on the subreddit r/eastenders: 'And the penny drops!!!! Thank you!!'
This person commented: 'What a great actress, those two characters are worlds apart.'
Someone else put: 'I knew who she was, always liked Onslow and Daisy lol.'
Meanwhile, one fan revealed: 'She also played Mrs. Musgrove in the 1995 film 'Persuasion' with Ciarán Hinds—she was fantastic in that role!'

Another added: 'I knew who she was, but I'm once again aggrieved at Heather's demise when she had so much more storytelling to do, including her relationship with Queenie!'
One viewer replied: 'And Judy is still alive and well, now 85 years old.'

TV fans predict 'Inbetweeners reunion' after stars tease new project
Fans of The Inbetweeners have been begging for a reunion of the Noughties comedy series since it came to an end in 2010—and some new photos have given everyone fresh hope. Starring Simon Bird, Joe Thomas, James Buckley, and Blake Harrison, The Inbetweeners became one of Channel 4's most successful shows of its era. Set in suburban southern England, The Inbetweeners focused on the hilarious and painfully awkward love lives (or lack thereof) of four ordinary boys in sixth form college. It ran for three seasons, produced 18 episodes in total, spawned two sequel films, and is still one of the most popular British comedy shows of all time. Such is the extent of its popularity in Britain that fans have begged for a reunion episode for 10 years now, following the release of The Inbetweeners Movie 2 in 2014. So, when one cast member took to Instagram with a cryptic post, it's safe to say he set the comments alight. On his social media, James teased that he and Joe are 'working on something', giving no further details to excited fans. The post was accompanied by a series of pictures of James and Joe, who dressed up in different outfits for a photoshoot and showed fans behind-the-scenes images of the get-together. Naturally, the comments section reacted anything but calmly to the post. MostlyEnders commented, 'Inbetweeners 3?' while Johnoo1992 demanded, 'We need an Inbetweeners reunion'. SkylarRossFelton said they 'couldn't wait' for a potential Inbetweeners 3, while JamesKeeleyy is also 'waiting' not-so patiently. Following the end of The Inbetweeners, stars Joe and James worked together on the sitcom White Gold, which followed a crew of window salesmen in 1980s Essex. White Gold ran for two seasons between 2017 and 2019 before it was axed by the BBC, with James admitting in 2020 he had no idea the show had been cancelled. Some fans who stayed with the lads until White Gold predicted that the window sales comedy would be making a return following the Insta pics, with that being the most recent project James and Joe worked on together. MichaelParkerus was clear about what he wants: 'I don't care if it's good [or bad], I'll watch anything that supports you four getting back together.' Since then, the four stars of The Inbetweeners have all been working on separate things, with the 2019 Fwends Reunited show still the last time any of them worked together. The reunion show was panned by fans, sadly, as people had expected the talk show to be a one-off sequel episode. Out of all the cast, though, work-wise, it looks like James and Joe are the closest, as this is not the first time they have worked on a new project in 2025, with the two teaming up for an Oasis-themed sketch in aid of Comic Relief. The sketch – titled Oasis: The Reunion – followed efforts to get the feuding brothers back on stage together and starred Martin Lewis as an accountant. More Trending Joe revealed last year that he, James, Simon, and Blake have all discussed the possibility of an Inbetweeners comeback, adding that they think it would be a 'nice thing to do'. 'We're all still around; we're all still in each other's lives. We all still like each other, and if it was something that came up, I think we would want to do it,' he said. View More » Joe continued: 'I feel like we all still really like each other. We've all been able to go away and get various monkeys off our backs, in terms of things that we felt we needed to do other than The Inbetweeners to prove something to ourselves.' Got a story? EastEnders fans call former couple 'endgame' as they finally reunite in steamy scenes
EastEnders fans were overjoyed at the end of Monday night's episode as Ravi Gulati and Priya Nandra-Hart unexpectedly rekindled their relationship in steamy scenes It was an eventful time in Albert Square on Monday, as EastEnders fans were left overjoyed when former couple Ravi Gulati and Priya Nandra-Hart unexpectedly rekindled their romance. After moving out from Suki Panesar's house after Suki was exposed for asking pregnant teen Avani to keep her baby for her, Avani and her mum Priya moved in with her ex Ravi, Avani's father. Now, it looks like the two could be getting back on track - but one huge thing stands in the way. The unexpected scenes came after an argument between the two became passionate after Ravi scolded Priya for not taking Avani shopping like he'd promised, after her recent termination. It comes after an EastEnders legend was rushed to hospital after a deadly attack by a familiar face. Ravi, who still has the police watching over him following his dodgy dealings, opened up about how he felt bad for continuously letting his daughter down. Reassuring her ex, Priya said: "You've been brilliant with her. Getting her away from Suki for a start. And I mean you were probably having a go at Jack to look out for her. I reckon you've been a pretty good dad to her today, even if you didn't take her out." Ravi later opened up about losing the restaurant due to tax problems, but told Priya that she and the kids were all that mattered to him. "Isn't that what you want? Me, you, the kids, a proper family," Ravi said as the pair leaned in to kiss each other. It didn't stop there as the next scene cut to the couple in the bedroom, with Priya telling Ravi: "I thought you'd have learnt a few new things after all these years. Of course, fans took to X, formerly known as Twitter to react to the raunchy scenes. One fan wrote: "Priya & Ravi have the potential to be the greatest couple the square has ever seen." Another fan said: "I ship Ravi and Priya so bad," as a third wrote: "I will take Ravi and Priya in any way I can get them." A further fan called them " endgame". However, the conversation quickly turned serious, as Priya told Ravi that she wanted to get back together, which can't happen whilst he's still into "all the shady stuff". Despite Ravi promising Priya he's find a way to be legit again, it doesn't look like it'd be happening anytime soon. At the end of the episode, he was heard telling someone on the phone to "shift as much gear as you can" on Bank Holiday weekend. Will Ravi ever change his ways and will the family be back together for good? Chris Robshaw is forced to invest in top-price security to protect his family after being targeted by a stalker which nearly led him to turn down Strictly
Strictly Come Dancing star Chris Robshaw was forced to invest in top-of-the-range security to keep his family safe from the campaign of harassment by a female stalker over the past year. The former rugby player was one of the 15 celebrities to be announced for the BBC show last week, but it has since emerged he almost turned down the opportunity due to the situation. And now friends of the 39-year-old told the Mail about the toll it has taken on his wife, the opera singer Camilla Kerslake, on her mental health after she has been 'left scared to leave the house on her own with the kids'. Ms Kerslake, 37, shares Hunter, five, and 18-month-old Wilder, with her husband of seven years and a source close to the family said: 'Particularly when she was post-partum, she was petrified she wouldn't be able to outrun this individual. 'Normally she's unbreakable, the backbone of the family, but this has reduced her to a shell of the strong woman we all know. For Chris, watching this has been heartbreaking. 'They have invested in top-of-the-range security systems to keep the family safe.' While the identity of the stalker has not been revealed, it is known that the former Harlequins captain briefly met her twice at work events last year. Instead of asking for presents for her birthday, it can be revealed Ms Kerslake requested security upgrades to their Surrey mansion, which last year she gave OK magazine a guided tour of. The source continued: 'They've talked about the idea of a security guard dog because they love their animals but also Camilla especially, would feel more protected. 'It's heartbreaking that it's come to this but that's how seriously they are taking it. 'This stalker business is no joke. She's destroyed the lives of small business owners, families, and left others thousands of pounds out of pocket. 'The claims she makes are sickening, and some of her victims have been left struggling mentally after their ordeal.' Six months after meeting the woman, Mr Robshaw was then said to have been targeted by the woman, who proceeded to threaten violence and spread false allegations about him and his colleagues, after which he contacted the police. It is reported the woman, who is now on the National Police Wanted List, has fled the country and is being pursued by the police. This year's Strictly cast includes Love Island star Dani Dyer, Geordie Shore's Vicky Pattison, EastEnders actress Balvinder Sopal, Game of Thrones star Kristian Nairn, Lioness Karen Carney, Lorraine Showbiz correspondent Ross King and influencer Ellie Goldstein, who made history when she became the first model with Down syndrome to cover British Vogue magazine. Rugby player Chris, Neighbours actor Stefan Dennis, YouTuber George Clarke, Doctor Who actress Alex Kingston, The Apprentice star Tom Skinner and sportsman Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink will also be taking to the Strictly ballroom next month. The BBC show has endured its fair share of controversy in recent months, with it alleged earlier this month that BBC had hired a law firm to probe allegations of drug taking by two individuals. One of the stars involved in the drugs probe was also suspected of drinking while working on the show after crew smelt alcohol on their breath. Wynne Evans, 53, who competed on the show in 2024, was also accused of inappropriate behaviour and forced to apologise for making an unacceptable sexual remark on stage at a press event, which led to him resigning from the Strictly tour. In 2023, actress Amanda Abbington, 51, complained about professional dancer Giovanni Pernice, 34, being 'unnecessary, abusive, cruel and mean' during their rehearsals which she said caused her to quit midway through the season. And in the same year, former Love Island contestant Zara McDermott, 28, was left 'incredibly distressed' following her experience in the training room with Graziano Di Prima, 31, who admitted to kicking the documentary maker, resulting in his axing.
