River Island customers are heaping praise on a "stunning" dress which has proven to be a big hit on social media.
The retailer, famed for its trendy apparel, accessories, and footwear, may just have added a new crowd-pleaser to its collection.
The stylish Green Bandage Sleeveless Bardot Midi Dress, retailing for €63, boasts a form-fitting, sleeveless cut, an elegant bardot neckline, convenient zip closure, midi length and a stylish split hem.
River Island suggests machine washing the dress at 30°C but recommends ironing it inside out and avoiding bleaching, dry cleaning or tumble drying.
Injecting some fashion-envy into Instagram feeds, River Island flaunted the in-demand green number in a video which swiftly gathered over 1,000 likes and a flurry of comments from eager shoppers, reports the Mirror
River Island heralded the return of the Green Bandage Sleeveless Bardot Midi Dresswith an Instagram post caption: "The bandage dress is back.".
Accompanying text over the clip announced: "PSA: Bandage dresses are back and better than ever."
Comments bubbled up beneath the post with one admirer remarking: "I've got this dress, isn't it absolutely amazing."
Another chimed in saying: "It looks stunning on you too," and yet another fan exclaimed: "Yesssss! That colour."
A fourth exclaimed: "How unreal" while a fifth gushed: "I'm so here for it."
Meanwhile, one shopper succinctly admired: "Wowww."
The praise didn't end there, with yet another shopper remarking: "Such a gorgeous shade of green" and someone else hailing the dress as "iconic."
One follower was moved to comment: "gorgeous" with another chiming in: "I'll have one in every colour."
It's noteworthy that some shoppers head to TrustPilot to leave their thoughts about River Island's size offerings, particularly regarding larger sizes which could be a vital tip for online shoppers. A customer advised: "Lovely quality but not great sizing."
One patron shared their experience: "The quality of most clothes I've tried on are good... but the sizing is HUGE! ! I recently bought some new UK size 6 shorts, skirts, jeans and trousers and they slid down my hips and legs! They wouldn't stay on my hips! The dress was huge on me too! I've had to return most of the order (kept the UK size 4 items)."
Nonetheless, fervent compliments for the dress continued, with one shopper proclaiming: "River Island is totally doing it for us this season!" and another simply stating: "Absolute beauty."
A third fan expressed: "Loving the colour."
Another aficionado declared: "This is stunning" followed by another endorsing: "This colour."
Also, someone couldn't hide their enthusiasm: "Wooo love the green."
Another person mentioned: "Love this colour."
A person added praise with "Love that colour on you" and another admitted: "Bought this after seeing it on you."
Moreover, a commenter said: "Stunning, I just have zero occasion to wear it."

Meghan won't take orders from anyone – that's why her brand's in chaos & it's all her own fault, expert slams

ROYAL experts have slammed Meghan Markle, claiming her inability to take orders is behind the chaos surrounding her brand. The Duchess of Sussex's brand, As ever, is taking a short break after selling out all its items in just 45 minutes, according to Meghan. Advertisement 1 The Duchess of Sussex revealed on a podcast that her brand is taking a short break to restock Credit: Netflix However, experts claim the quick sellout highlights chaos behind the brand, suggesting there weren't enough products to meet demand. The Sun's former Royal Correspondent and author Charles Rae said: "I'm not a businessman, but I would have thought that if you were setting up a new company, you would have enough products on the shelves or whatever is kept to satisfy the demand." Shoppers snapped up £10 jam and £22 honey from Meghan's brand — though it's unclear how many sold before the products were declared out of stock. Royal experts believe that the lack of clarity from the brand stems from the Duchess "not wanting to take orders from anyone". Advertisement read more on royals "My view is that it is mainly, I would say, 90 per cent Megan who's running," said Charles. He added: "Who's running the show, because this is a woman who does not want to take orders from anybody." Royal Correspondent Sarah Hewson agreed and said: "She doesn't want to let go. "And I guess, you know, she is putting her name to it. But yes, it has been chaotic. Muireann O'Connell is bang on the money with new South Dublin house

New homeowner Muireann O'Connell, who previously lamented being gazumped when bidding on houses, managed to nab her new pad for bang on the asking price. Muireann has previously documented years of soul-destroying house-hunting with her partner Phil as an absolute 'nightmare' revealing that properties the couple bid on had gone for €100,000 over their asking price. Now, the new home-owners are surely relieved that they finally managed to snap up their three-bedroom house for the bang on the asking price of €675,00. Pic: Sherry FitzGerald According to property pricing websites, the house Muireann acquired was on the market for €675,000 and it sold for that corresponding price. Popular presenter Muireann revealed last month that she was now a mortgage-holder having picked up the keys to her new abode. Pic: Muireann O'Connell/ Instagram Muireann's new South city pad is spread over three floors with large private front and rear gardens. The turn-key property has a homely touch with an open plan style kitchen-come-dining room, with double fronted French doors which affords optimum light to brighten the entire first floor. Pic: Sherry FitzGerald The rear of the house is spacious and can provide for summer BBQ's and family gatherings, boasting as it does, private rear access double gates, a central lawned area, brick built shed and patio area finished with sandstone patio slabs. Muireann and her fiancé Phil have, like many young couples, been renting in Dublin for many years as the housing crisis shows no signs of abating. Pic: Sherry FitzGerald While Muireann is a well known face for her presenting work on Ireland AM, her fiancé Phil also works in the media sphere.. A native of Co Offaly, Phil is a programming director who has worked with various national radio stations. Pic: Sherry FitzGerald But the pair's house hunt has been a full-time gig in itself. Muireann has often spoken of the utter soul-destroying process of simply trying to buy a suitable place she can call her own home. Taking to social media after she had picked up the keys to her very own front door Muireann told her online fans: Pic: Sherry FitzGerald Thank you to the lovely previous owners and to everyone who helped us to get here. Ye are the best. We've been terrible at this process. God, house buying has been a slog. I know it's not easy. For anyone going through it, much love. It can be soul destroying. But bloody hell do I feel good today. Pic: Sherry FitzGerald 'Now how the hell do you decorate a house.'

THE HISTORY OF DUNNES STORES DUNNES Stores opened its first store on Patrick Street in Cork in 1944 - and it was an instant hit. Shoppers from all over the city rushed to the store to snap up quality clothing at pre-war prices in Ireland's first 'shopping frenzy'. During the excitement, a window was forced in and the police had to be called to help control the crowds hoping to bag founder Ben Dunne's 'Better Value' bargains. Dunnes later opened more stores in the 1950s and began to sell groceries in 1960 - starting with apples and oranges. The retailer said: "Fruit was expensive at the time and Ben Dunne yet again offered Better Value than anyone else in town. "Over time, our food selection has grown and that spirit of good value has remained strong. "Now we offer a wide range of carefully-sourced foods from both local Irish suppliers and overseas." The retailer's first Dublin store opened its doors in 1957 on Henry Street and a super store on South Great Georges Street was unveiled in 1960. They added: "In 1971, our first Northern Irish store opened, and many others soon followed. "Expansion continued in the 1980s in Spain, and later into Scotland and England." Dunnes now has 142 stores and employs 15,000 people.
