Bayern Munich came in third, while Paris Saint-Germain, despite winning the Champions League this season, finished fifth in the rankings. Paris Saint-Germain to clash with Inter Milan in champions league final
Munich – Saba: Paris Saint-Germain is set to face Inter Milan tomorrow Saturday in the Champions League final at the Allianz Arena in Munich, Germany. The match, with Romanian referee Istvan Kovac officiating, marks the first-ever Champions League encounter between the two clubs and only the second final between French and Italian teams. The previous one was in the 1992/93 season when Marseille defeated Milan 1-0, also held in Munich. Paris Saint-Germain is making its second final appearance in the last five years, having previously lost to Bayern Munich in the 2020 final. The French club aims to secure its first Champions League title, a long-sought-after ambition after their near miss in 2020. Inter Milan, who reached the final in 2023 and last won the title in 2010, are vying for their fourth Champions League trophy under coach Simone Inzaghi. They will rely on key players such as Argentina's World Cup winner Lautaro Martinez, Nicolo Barella, goalkeeper Yann Sommer, and Pavard. Tournament regulations state that if the match ends in a draw, two 15-minute extra periods will be played. If the score remains tied after extra time, the winner will be decided by a penalty shootout. The victor of this final will then compete in the UEFA Super Cup against Tottenham Hotspur, the current European champions. Whatsapp Telegram Email Print
