Dana White announces Power Slap included in the $7.7 billion UFC and Paramount deal
The Ultimate Fighting Championship's (UFC) president, Dana White, has just released a big new update. On Monday, August 11, 2025, Dana White disclosed that his slap-fighting show, Power Slap, is formally listed in a significant new contract with Paramount and UFC.
From Dana White's post on X, this information was made public, which suggests a major event for Power Slap as well as the UFC.
Dana White shares news of the Paramount and UFC deal in August 2025
Dana White went public with the announcement during an interview in South Florida while he was preparing for the Contender Series 319. On the same day, he posted on social media saying,
"Breaking News, UFC has a new home in 2026 only on Paramount+."
He added that this new agreement covers not just UFC, but also Power Slap, making both part of the new plan with Paramount and CBS.
The deal will begin in 2026, after UFC finishes its contract with ESPN at the end of 2025. The full deal is worth
$7.7billion
and will last for seven years. All UFC fans in the United States will be able to watch fights using a basic Paramount+ subscription, and some of the biggest fights will also be shown on CBS. This is a big change because it will get rid of pay-per-view for most UFC fights, making everything easier and cheaper for fans.
Dana White said,
"This historic deal with Paramount and CBS is incredible for UFC fans and our athletes. For the first time ever, fans in the U.S. will have access to all UFC content without a Pay-Per-View model, making it more affordable and accessible on a massive platform. This deal puts UFC amongst the biggest sports in the world. The exposure offered by Paramount and CBS under this structure is a huge win for anyone who loves the sport.

Dana White shares why he is excited and how Power Slap fits in
Dana White explained in a CBS interview why he made this move now. The UFC had to find a new TV home because its old contract was ending. After looking at different options, Dana White explained,
'Our deal is expiring, so we got out there, started shopping around, and this is where we ended up, and I love it. I love where this is headed. I love the idea of being on Paramount Plus.'
Dana White also spoke warmly about Power Slap and how it is now going to grow with more fans able to see it.
In his posts and interviews, he made it clear that Power Slap will gain the same kind of exposure as UFC under the new deal.
These changes start in 2026 for the United States, and both UFC and Power Slap will be available to fans in many new ways. The deal covers nearly all the biggest fights, plus the full Power Slap events, all under the Paramount+ and CBS umbrella.

Rohit Sharma back on the field, gears up for ODI comeback
Rohit Sharma (AFP Photo) NEW DELHI: Rohit Sharma is leaving no stone unturned in his bid for an ODI comeback. The veteran opener was first spotted training under former teammate and renowned coach Abhishek Nayar , working hard to regain match fitness after a break from competitive cricket since the IPL 2025 wrapped up in early June. Determined to play ODIs until the 2027 World Cup, Rohit is pushing himself in the nets and beyond. A fresh video, now viral on social media, shows the 38-year-old hitting the ground at a Mumbai stadium. WATCH: Amid ongoing speculation about his international future, Rohit climbed to No. 2 in the latest ICC ODI batting rankings released on Wednesday. He leapfrogged Pakistan's Babar Azam — who dropped to third after a poor ODI series in the Caribbean — and now sits on 756 points, just behind India's Test skipper Shubman Gill (784). Former captain Virat Kohli remains fourth with 736 points. Both Rohit and Kohli, who retired from Test cricket earlier this year before India's England tour, have reiterated their commitment to the 50-over format. The two could return in October's three-match ODI series against Australia, with training already underway. Rohit, one of the ODI format's greatest alongside Kohli, reached his career-best 882 rating points during the 2019 World Cup, when he struck a record five centuries in the tournament. He and Kohli last featured in ODIs during India's Champions Trophy triumph in the UAE earlier this year. India currently have five batters inside the men's ODI top 15 — Shreyas Iyer in eighth and KL Rahul in 15th join Gill, Rohit, and Kohli in the elite list. 'People don't understand ...': India pacer weighs in on workload call, defends Jasprit Bumrah playing only three matches in England
Jasprit Bumrah NEW DELHI: India pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar has thrown his weight behind Jasprit Bumrah amid the ongoing debate over the star fast bowler's workload management. Ahead of the 2025 Anderson–Tendulkar Trophy against England, the selectors decided that Bumrah would play only three of the five Tests — a move that sparked widespread discussion. Go Beyond The Boundary with our YouTube channel. SUBSCRIBE NOW! Speaking on the podcast Talk with Manvendra, Bhuvneshwar offered a strong defence of the decision. "Look, considering how many years Jasprit Bumrah has been playing and competing in all formats, it is tough for anyone to sustain that. And with the kind of bowling action Bumrah has, injuries can happen to him or to anyone," he said. Poll Do you agree with the selectors' decision to allow Bumrah to play only three out of five Tests? Yes, it's a smart move for his longevity No, he should play all matches "I had no problem with him playing three out of five matches. If the selectors know what he can offer and are okay with it, it's because they know he can still make a big impact in those three games. If a player might not play all five matches but will contribute significantly in three, that should be okay," he added. Bhuvneshwar highlighted the physical and mental demands Bumrah faces. "People don't always understand how tough it is to keep playing for so many years across formats. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like If Your Ears Ring, Stop Sleeping Like This Immediately Derila Ergo Undo Bumrah is always bowling in tough situations, which brings both mental and physical pressure. If you want a player to have a long career, you have to manage them somehow." Bumrah repaid the faith in style, bagging 14 wickets in his three appearances against England, including two five-wicket hauls. Reflecting on Bumrah's journey, Bhuvneshwar said: "When he first came in, everyone could see there was something special. Skill-wise, nothing has changed — he was as good back then as he is now. But with years of performance comes confidence. Once you are established, you don't panic if things go wrong. That maturity comes with age." With 207 international matches and 457 wickets to his name, Bumrah remains a cornerstone of India's attack. Catch Rani Rampal's inspiring story on Game On, Episode 4. Watch Here!
