While many Bollywood stars make headlines for their film earnings,
Akshay Kumar
has turned heads with his stellar performance in the real estate market. In just seven months, the actor has earned over Rs 110 crore, not from movies, but by selling eight premium properties across Mumbai.
The sales span some of the city's most sought-after neighborhoods, like Worli, Borivali, and Lower Parel.

One of Akshay's biggest deals this year was the sale of his and wife

's sprawling 6,830 sq. ft. luxury apartment in Oberoi Three Sixty West, Worli. The sea-facing apartment, located on the 39th floor and sold with four parking slots, fetched a whopping ₹80 crore in January. This single sale alone accounted for more than 70% of his real estate earnings this year.
Borivali and Lower Parel sales deliver high returns.
According to IndexTap, Akshay Kumar's investment moves in Borivali's Oberoi Sky City project have also proved profitable. He sold multiple 3BHK units and studio apartments in the complex, including one deal worth Rs 4.25 crore that reflected a 78% return on a 2017 purchase. Another set of adjoining units sold for Rs 7.10 crore brought him over 90% ROI. In March, two more apartments went for Rs 6.60 crore, one of which was a compact 252 sq.

This film changed Sanjay Dutt's life, was made for Rs 5 crore, it earned Rs..., Anil Kapoor even begged for a role, the movie is...'

Sanjay Dutt has been one of the finest actors in Bollywood. For the last 4 decades, the actor has been a part of the industry. Though Sanjay was born into a family of actors, with his father and mother — Sunil Dutt and Nargis Dutt — being the top names in Bollywood, Sanjay carved his own path. Dutt made his debut with the film Rocky in 1981, but his breakthrough came with Naam in 1986. Today, we will discuss a film that turned out to be a game-changer. Sanjay Dutt's Film That Changed His Career This movie, which is in discussion, was made for Rs 5 crore and went on to earn Rs 21 crore in 1993. If you are wondering which movie we are talking about, then it is none other than Khalnayak. When Sanjay Dutt Became a Star Due to This Film In 1993, Khalnayak changed the direction of Sanjay Dutt's career. The actor played a grey-shaded character, and for some reason, the audience really liked the role — it turned out to be a game-changer for Sanjay. Apart from Dutt, the movie also starred Jackie Shroff and Madhuri Dixit. Anil Kapoor Begged for This Role? Interestingly, Anil Kapoor was also in the queue for this iconic role. During an interview, Khalnayak's director Subhash Ghai revealed that Anil Kapoor had expressed his desire to play the villain several times. Anil Kapoor was even ready to go bald for this role, but he felt that Sanjay was perfect for it — and indeed, the performance given by Sanju Baba is memorable even today.

Janeita Singh wins 'Oxford Bookstore Art Book Prize' 2025 for 'F.N. Souza: The Archetypal Artist'

New Delhi: Academician and art critic Janeita Singh has won the third edition of the Oxford Bookstore Art Book Prize for "F.N. Souza: The Archetypal Artist", published by Niyogi Books. The winner, chosen out of the five shortlisted titles, was presented with a trophy, certificate and cash prize of Rs 1 lakh. The ceremony was hosted at the Embassy of Norway on Wednesday. "To be loved is to be seen and known. The critical study on Souza's life and art was a dance with provocation, heresy, and beauty. Now that 'F.N. Souza: The Archetypal Artist' lounges on hallowed shelves -- how delicious, then, to be crowned by the Oxford Bookstore Art Book Prize in the homeland. That the book resonates with readers and institutions alike is a reward beyond the prize." Singh said on winning the award. The jury, led by art critic and chairperson Alka Pande, included May-Elin Stener, Ambassador of Norway to India, Sri Lanka, Bhutan, and the Maldives; Priti Paul, director of Apeejay Surrendra Group; Apurva Kackar, director of institutional affairs and outreach at the Kiran Nadar Museum of Art (KNMA); and Swagat Sengupta, CEO of Apeejay Oxford Bookstores. "As art increasingly becomes a collectible, the need to document it thoughtfully through high-quality production is more essential than ever. The prize plays a vital role in encouraging artists, galleries, cultural institutions, and publishers to publish more art books. These publications serve as important records that preserve and disseminate artistic and cultural ideas', said Pande while announcing the winner. Alongside the winning title, the jury also commended two more books of the shortlisted titles: "Raza, the other modern" by Gayatri Sinha, Yashodhara Dalmia and Geeti Sen, and published by Mapin Publishing and The Raza Foundation, and Progressive Art Gallery's "A Thousand Shadows", authored and published by Navin Sakhuja.
