Police keen on hyper-sensitive villages
Nellore: As part of initiative in protecting Law and Order problem police administration concentrated on hyper sensitive village by conducting meeting with the local people. Following directions of Superintendent of Police G Krishnakanth, police officials along with the staff divided in to batches conducted meetings in several villages of Nellore rural mandal on Friday.
During the interaction, police urged the people to distance themselves by avoiding politically motivated clashes, property disputes etc in the interest of maintaining communal harmony in the villages.
They urged the village elders to initiate steps for motivating the youth avoid them indulge in the anti-social activities.
They appealed the parents to keep an eye over movements of their children as immediately initiate damage control measures if they notice anything wrong in their behavior.
On this occasion, officials detailed the punishments related to the various crimes like smuggling of Ganja, Sand, Illicit liquor, sexual attack on women and minor girls, cyber frauds and other offends.
While stating that most of the representations related the land disputes being received during the Public Grievance Redress System (PGRS) organised by police department every Monday, cops appealed the village elders to settle such disputes with ' Gentle Man Agreements (GMA) instead of approaching police or courts as they would reason for occurrence property crimes in the villages.

Assam CM orders ‘shoot-at-sight' after beef incident sparks communal tension in Dhubri
Guwahati: Assam Chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Saturday said that 38 people have been arrested in connection with a beef incident in Dhubri. The chief minister visited Dhubri on Friday and reviewed the law-and-order situation of the district. The government has brought Senior Superintendent of Police, Hailakandi Leena Doley as the Senior Superintendent of Police Dhubri. The Dhubri town in Assam witnessed tension since last one week after a prohibited meat and a severed cow head was recovered from a Hanuman temple in the town. The Chief Minister visited the town and assessed the on-the ground situation holding a high-level meeting in Dhubri with DGP Harmeet Singh, Additional Chief Secretary Ajay Tiwari, and other senior officials of the state administration. Sarma also visited the temple site and interacted with members of the temple committee and local residents. He also inspected the temple and its surrounding areas and took stock of the deployment of security personnel. He also assured government assistance for the development of the temple. He also emphasized the need to identify those responsible for orchestrating the unrest. The Chief Minister firmly stated that no individual or group would be allowed to weaponize the incident involving the prohibited meat to create social discord. Following the outcome of the meeting, the Chief Minister ordered the deployment of the Rapid Action Force (RAF) along with additional security forces in Dhubri to help normalize the situation. The town has repeatedly witnessed recovery of beef near a temple. He said that the government has issued shoot at sight orders in Dhubri. "The law-and-order situation was a little challenging here for the last one week. After the Eid ul Zuha, somebody kept a severed head of a cow in Hanuman temple. Peace committees are formed involving Hindus and Muslims. However, it was repeated the next day again," he said while adding that there were also cases of stone pelting at night, he said. Sarma had said, 'From next time onwards I will come to Dhubri before Eid and camp for at least 10 days. Police will shoot at the sight of criminal elements." The chief minister further added that a Bangladesh backed organization Nobin Bangla has also done postering in Dhubri demanding inclusion of Dhubri district in Bangladesh. He said that these postering indicates that a communal force backed by Bangladesh is active in Dhubri and they are working to destabilize Dhubri. On June 9, the Dhubri district administration-imposed prohibition under BNSS 2023 in Dhubri town following the likelihood of breach of peace and public tranquillity in areas falling under Dhubri police station due to communal tension. The area witnessed tension following recovery of banned meat including a severed cow head from the premises of a Hanuman temple in the town's Ward no 3.

Grand theft auto in Delhi: Family-run gang stole over 25 vehicles, busted
A family-operated automobile lifting syndicate, which allegedly stole over two dozen vehicles in recent months from Delhi's Dwarka area, has been dismantled, the police said on Saturday. Raman (56), his son Sagar (31), and his son-in-law Neeraj (29), allegedly stole more than two dozen cars from across Delhi and the neighbouring states in the past several months. The trio formed a close-knit syndicate comprised solely of family members, a strategy devised by the kingpin Raman to minimise the risk of betrayal and leaks of operational information to authorities, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Dwarka) Ankit Singh said. "The gang allegedly specialised in stealing high-end vehicles, primarily targeting Maruti Brezza, Swift Dzire, Hyundai Creta, and Toyota Fortuner models, most of which were parked near gyms and parks in residential colonies," the DCP said in an official statement. Using sophisticated equipment, the gang disabled car security systems and tampered with the On-Board Diagnostics (OBD) port- a digital gateway used by legitimate technicians to access a vehicle's electronic systems. This allowed them to break into and start the vehicles within minutes, often stealing them in under seven minutes, the police said. Based on a tip-off received on May 28, the team intercepted a stolen vehicle in Uttam Nagar and arrested Raman and Sagar, who were inside a car. Upon checking the engine and chassis numbers, the car was found to have been stolen from the Keshav Puram area. Inside the vehicle, police recovered a range of tools and gadgets used in vehicle thefts, including car scanners, key connectors, an ECM device, lock-breaking tools, wire cutters, pliers, duplicate keys, and number plates, he said. The accused confessed to being part of a larger auto-lifting racket that included Raman's son-in-law, Neeraj, who was also arrested based on their disclosure. Following the trio's interrogation, the police recovered two more stolen cars. The men revealed that they had stolen between 20 and 25 vehicles over the last 10 months and disclosed that they frequently used one stolen car to trail and steal another vehicle to avoid detection and confuse police tracking. The vehicles were later sold to illegal receivers based in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh. Raman, who allegedly failed to set up a legitimate family business, set up this auto-lifting enterprise instead with his son and son-in-law. All the three arrested are habitual offenders, with Raman previously involved in 18 criminal cases, Sagar in 12, and Neeraj in 14, the police said. SSJ MPL MPL

Massive arms haul in Manipur, 151 SLRs among 328 firearms recovered
GUWAHATI: In a massive arms haul, Manipur Police and security forces recovered over 300 guns along with a huge quantity of ammunition during simultaneous operations carried out in the five districts of the Imphal Valley on the intervening night of June 13 and 14. Altogether 328 weapons were recovered – SLR 151, INSAS 65, rifles of other kinds 73, carbines 5, MP5 2, LMG 12, AK series rifles 6, Amogh rifles 2, mortar 1, pistols 6, barrels 2, AR15 gun 1 and flare guns 2. According to Additional Director General of Police Lhari Dorjee Lhatoo, the police acted on intelligence inputs about the presence of a large cache of arms and ammunition hidden in different areas of the Imphal Valley districts. Simultaneous search operations were launched at different locations by joint teams of Manipur Police, Central Armed Police Forces, Army and Assam Rifles, leading to the recovery of the weapons.
