Ensure speedy disposal of petitions
Nellore: Joint Collector and also in-charge Collector K Karthik on Monday expressed displeasure over the inordinate delay in disposing the petitions received during Public Grievance Redress System (PGRRS). He pointed out that such kind of situation leads to reopening of the petitions as the victims repeatedly submits their issues. He directed the officials concerned to ensure speedy disposal of petitions that were received during PGRRS to avoid unrest among the victims. Stressing that the government is giving top priority to settle the problems received during PGRS, he instructed the officials to work according to the wishes of the government by considering the issues under humanitarian grounds. Meanwhile, the officials received petitions, mostly related to pensions, white ration cards, land disputes including land grabbing, 10-1 Adangal, border problems between two fields, pattadar passbooks, house sites.

Officials told to take petitioners' opinion on PGRS
Nellore: District Collector O Anand has said that it is inevitable to secure the opinion of petitioners once they submit their petitions during Public Grievance Redress System (PGRS). He held a video conference with RDOs, Municipal Commissioners, Tahsildars and MPDOs over PGRS, MNREGS, Housing and PM Surya Ghar Yojana scheme here on Monday. Stating that the government is keen on addressing petitions received during PGRRS as the officials of the departments concerned will be made accountable if the officials fails to address the problem and secure victim's opinion before closure of the petition. He stated that it is compulsory for the officials concerned to endorse the petition and upload the documents related to the issue, otherwise he would be face departmental action. Expressing deep concern over the poor response of the officials in effectively implementing Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (MNREGS), the Collector warned of initiating stringent action against those, who fail to change their attitude. He said that it will be must to taken up 70% of MNREGS works in every village and submit detailed report every week over the status of work provided to the labor. He directed the municipal commissioners and Tahsildars to ensure for completion of works related to the TIDCO houses as the government already credited the financial assistance in the accounts of beneficiaries. The Collector has ordered the APSPDCL officials to initiate steps for motivating the people over installation of Solar Plant under Prime Minister Muft Bijli Yojana Scheme.

Apply for new ration cards: NMC Commissioner
Nellore: Nellore Municipal Commissioner Y.O Nandan has appealed the people those who were not having ration cards in Nellore city to apply for new one as the government is keen on providing new ration cards in the interest of public. The Commissioner along with the officials has accepted representations from the public during Public Grievance Redress System (PGRS) at Command Control Room (CCR) located in the premises here on Monday. Speaking on the occasion Y.O. Nandan has said that following guidelines the beneficiary should approach at their respective Ward Secretariats to own the applications. The commissioner has cleared that it will be mandatory for newly married couple to submit official marriage confirmation certificate to secure the application for new ration cards. While saying that municipal administration has taken up silt removal in the drains in a big way, the commissioner appealed the people who encroached the drains by constructing structures should voluntarily remove them in the interest of maintaining proper sanitation. The commissioner has appealed the people to apply for Under Ground Drainage (UGD) connection as the government provide it for just Rs 1. While asserting the government's commitment in providing houses for shelter less poor, the commissioner has urged the people to apply as the government will provide under Pradhana Mantri Awas Yojana-2 (PMAY-2) through Andhra Pradesh Township and Infrastructure Corporation (APTIDCO) without delay. He also said that poor can also apply for house sites under the same concept. The commissioner has analyzed that total 40 representations on various issues were received during PGRS on Monday. Apart from Engineering 8, Housing 21, Town planning 10, and 1 related to Administration. On this occasion the commissioner ordered the officials to sort out the petitions in a time bound manner to void the petitioners rounding the office. Deputy Commissioner Chennudu, Engineering SE Ram Mohan Rao, Health Officer Dr. Chaitnya and others were present.

Commissioner directs officials to focus on PGRS
Nellore: Nellore Municipal Commissioner Y. O. Nandan has directed the officials to concentrate over addressing the petitions being received in Public Grievance Redress System (PGRS). The Commissioner has conducted meeting with departments heads, senior assistants, junior assistants of all departments at Command Control Centre (CCC) in the corporation building here on Friday. While questioning the credibility of the officials of their failure in addressing representations in time bound manner, the commissioner has pointed out that such type of negligence causes prevail unrest among the petitioners. He pointed out that the petitioners are repeatedly rounding the office to know their status of representation due to lack of proper communication from the consent departments. While saying that government is giving top priority for the petitions received during PGRS, the commissioner has directed departments to feel responsible for dispatching the representations related to various services by effectively implementing the Service Level Agreement (SLA) in the interest of public. He directed the legal cell division officials to show special attention for disposal of court cases without delay. The commissioner directed officials to compulsory enroll the facial recognition-based attendance tracking through implementation APFRS app initiated by the government. Nellore Municipal Corporation Manager Inaitullah, and others were present.

Collector decries negligence
Nellore: SR Sankaran Hall near collectorate packed with the petitioners as they thronged in large numbers to submit their representations in the Public Grievance Redress System (PGRS) on Monday. Officials from 80 departments headed by district collector O Anand attended the PGRS accepting the grievance petitions. While expressing deep concern over delay being witnessed in finding solutions related the land issues, district collector O Anand has warned initiating departmental action against the officials those who are responsible in addressing the land problems. He said that most of the petitions are related to land issues as the victims are submitting repeatedly due to lakh of clarity in the officials. Collector said that he won't tolerate such instances as the officials should own the responsibility even if one single petition repeats. There were about 119 petitions received during the PGRS organized by the police administration at Umesh Chandra Conference Hall located at Police Parade grounds in the city on Monday.
