Officials told to take petitioners' opinion on PGRS
He held a video conference with RDOs, Municipal Commissioners, Tahsildars and MPDOs over PGRS, MNREGS, Housing and PM Surya Ghar Yojana scheme here on Monday.
Stating that the government is keen on addressing petitions received during PGRRS as the officials of the departments concerned will be made accountable if the officials fails to address the problem and secure victim's opinion before closure of the petition.
He stated that it is compulsory for the officials concerned to endorse the petition and upload the documents related to the issue, otherwise he would be face departmental action.
Expressing deep concern over the poor response of the officials in effectively implementing Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (MNREGS), the Collector warned of initiating stringent action against those, who fail to change their attitude. He said that it will be must to taken up 70% of MNREGS works in every village and submit detailed report every week over the status of work provided to the labor.
He directed the municipal commissioners and Tahsildars to ensure for completion of works related to the TIDCO houses as the government already credited the financial assistance in the accounts of beneficiaries.
The Collector has ordered the APSPDCL officials to initiate steps for motivating the people over installation of Solar Plant under Prime Minister Muft Bijli Yojana Scheme.

Collector Orders Tahsildars to Expedite Pending Applications Under Bhoobharathi Program
Gadwal: District Collector B.M. Santhosh has directed Tahsildars to promptly resolve pending applications received under the prestigious 'Bhoobharathi' program being implemented by the state government. On Wednesday, the District Collector conducted a detailed review meeting with Tahsildars from each mandal at the District Collectorate Conference Hall, focusing on applications received during the Bhoobharathi Revenue Conferences. He inquired about the number of applications resolved in each module, the number still pending, notices issued, and the status of field-level verifications. Expressing concern over delays, the Collector questioned Tahsildars from mandals where pendency remains high and sought reasons for the same. He instructed officials to complete field verifications and immediately dispose of all applications submitted online. Special attention was given to modules such as succession, pending mutations, PoP (Proof of Possession), and D-S (Demarcation and Survey), urging officials to take appropriate action and ensure comprehensive resolution. He emphasized that rejections of applications must be recorded with clear and valid reasons. A special committee will be formed to thoroughly investigate issues related to assigned lands, and the committee is expected to submit a detailed report soon. The Collector stated that the actions taken in the coming week will be reviewed again. He further directed that all pending certificate applications submitted via MeeSeva up to the year 2024 be resolved within one week. Regarding ration card applications, most have already been addressed, and the remaining must be cleared immediately. He ordered speedy processing of new ration card issuances, member additions, and deletions. The meeting was attended by District Additional Collector (Revenue) Lakshminarayana, RDO Alivelu, AD Survey & Land Records Ramchander, and Tahsildars from across the district.

KADA chief stresses timely resolution of public grievances
Kuppam (Chittoor District): KuppamArea Development Authority (KADA) Project Director Vikas Marmat has directed officials to promptly resolve the grievances submitted through the Public Grievances Redressal System (PGRS). Chairing the PGRS programme held on Monday, Marmat stressed the need for time-bound redressal of issues raised by the public. The redressal session, organised under the aegis of KADA, saw participation from mandal and divisional-level officials representing various departments. Citizens submitted petitions related to pensions, land disputes, employment issues, healthcare concerns, and more. Speaking at the event, Marmat instructed the concerned departments to prioritise long-pending applications and ensure that all grievances are addressed within the stipulated deadlines. 'Each grievance must be handled with urgency and resolved within the given timeframe,' he said, urging officials to maintain transparency and accountability in the process. All received petitions were documented and forwarded to the respective departments for further action. The initiative aimed to provide a direct platform for the public to voice their concerns and seek resolution in a streamlined manner.

Sheltering those evicted will harm natives: CM
1 2 Guwahati: Assam chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Monday cautioned citizens against providing refuge to evicted individuals, warning that such actions could reverse the progress achieved through ongoing anti-encroachment efforts aimed at empowering indigenous people. "Our people are conscious now. A lot of work is to be done and if people cooperate with us, we will be able to do it and protect our 'jati' (community)," he told media on the sidelines of an event in Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR). The CM said about 29 lakh bighas (more than 9.5 lakh acres) of land is still under encroachment in the state. He clarified that unauthorised occupation by indigenous Assamese is not considered encroachment, and no Indian or Assamese will be evicted. Without naming any community, Sarma blamed the encroachers for a host of issues, including turning forests into betelnut farms and fisheries. He linked these activities to what he termed as "land jihad" and "love jihad", saying, "We are the ones suffering, yet they shed tears." He reaffirmed his commitment to reclaiming public lands—VGRs, PGRs, Satras, Namghars, and forest areas—stating that 1.29 lakh bighas (over 42,500 acres) have already been cleared in the past four years. He claimed these lands were occupied by "illegal Bangladeshis and doubtful citizens." He also praised Nagaland's cooperation during the recent Uriamghat eviction and emphasized that unauthorized occupation by indigenous Assamese will not be treated as encroachment. The chief minister had earlier said 1.29 lakh bighas (over 42,500 acres) of land have been cleared of encroachment in the last four years, claiming that these huge tracts were under possession of "illegal Bangladeshis and doubtful citizens". He had asserted that all unauthorised occupation of VGR (village grazing reserve), PGR (professional grazing reserve), satras, namghars, forest land and other public areas would be cleared in a phased manner.
