On today's Days of Our Lives recap:
Brady Pub: Gabi arrives with Little T, looking for young Douglas. She tells him she's glad he's leaving town but not before she has her say. Doug apologizes as he never intended for Arianna Grace to get hurt. Gabi gets it but says Doug made many mistakes which led up to the kidnapping. He knows how much he messed up and wants to apologize to Roman but he hasn't been around. Doug asks Gabi if she'll give him the note he wrote. When he pulls it out, Julie's necklace comes out, as well.
Salem Inn – Gwen's Room: Gwen is upset the necklace is gone when Julie arrives and serves her with a lawsuit for the necklace. Gwen thinks Julie is setting her up as the necklace is gone. She explains how she found the safe empty but is certain Julie took it. Julie denies taking it and thinks Gwen is pretending not to have it. Julie storms out and they both vow to call the police.
University Hospital – Exam Room: Sarah notes Marlena's slightly high blood pressure and says she wants to run more tests.
University Hospital – Lobby: Brady and Rachel arrive and greet Belle. She says Marlena is good, but they aren't so sure. Brady explains to Rachel it's like her stomach aches. She feels bad and then feels better. Rachel and Brady exit to buy Tate's baby a gift. Just then, Marlena and Sarah emerge from the exam room.
Belle asks how her mother is doing. Marlena says she's doing much better, and Sarah ran more tests. She admonishes Marlena not to miss anymore meals. With that, Belle and Marlena exit.
Rachel and Brady return and Sarah says Marlena and Belle just left. Rachel pulls out the gift they bought for Tate's baby and Brady explains about the quick birth and adoption. Brady says it's a shame because Tate didn't get to meet her. Sarah is surprised to hear the baby is a girl as she remembers the ultrasound where she and Sophia found out it was a boy. Rachel asks about a name and Brady says he doesn't know. She says she likes the name Mackenzie and asks if Sarah likes it too (yikes).
Brady sends Rachel to the vending machine so Sarah can cry. Brady thinks Rachel remembers her Uncle Eric had a baby named Mackenzie. Sarah wonders if she remembers being in her custody. She also thinks she's upset as she and Xander have decided to separate.
Johnny and Chanel's Place: Susan arrives to see Johnny and says she had to be there to support him during his trial. Johnny is surprised to learn Chanel has been in touch with his grandmother. Chanel says she thought Susan could help because of her psychic abilities.
Susan wants to let her psychic energy marinate and quickly exits.
Horton Square: Gwen walks out of the hotel and wonders how she recognizes young Douglas. She flashes back and remembers him trying to deliver her some room service.
Gwen calls the police to report the necklace being stolen when Gabi and Little T walk up. She asks about the baby and Gabi tells her a condensed version of the story. Gwen bends down and tells Little T to run as fast as he can from this horrid family. The two immediately start throwing insults about their inability to keep men. Gwen talks about how wealthy she is because of Dimitri's inheritance which Gabi assumes she will squander. She can't imagine why Dimitri didn't divorce her the minute he was released from prison. Gabi wonders if she offed Dimitri for revenge. Just then, Susan walks up and asks Gabi just how far she would go for revenge.
Gwen is tickled when Susan directly asks if Gabi shot her son. She remembers the last time they met up how she sensed Gabi was at the mansion the night of the shooting. Since then, Susan heard Gabi actually admitted to what she saw in a vision. Gwen thinks Susan has her number. Gabi admits to lying but says she is innocent. Susan vows to find out who put a bullet in her son and storms off. Gwen giggles as it's ironic Gabi accused her of murder.
Horton House: A flustered Julie arrives home when young Douglas arrives to tell her that he is leaving Salem. Julie is stand offish until Doug says he has a gift for her and hands her the necklace. Julie asks where he got it and Doug admits he took it from Gwen's room because it doesn't belong to her. Julie explains about her latest encounter with Gwen and now understands she was telling the truth. Doug asks if Julie is going to turn him in but she thinks it isn't necessary.
Julie begins to crack when young Douglas says how sorry he is for everything. He says how much kindness and love she showed him which he hadn't felt in a very long time. Doug hates he broke Julie's heart and trust and then tries to leave. Julie holds him up and asks if she will help her put on her grandmother's necklace. Doug takes the necklace and clasps it around Julie's neck. He says it looks lovely on her and Julie says it makes her feel closer to her mother and grandmother. Doug says he gets it as one of his most prized possessions is a pair of cufflinks from his grandpa Robert. Just then, Julie tells Doug to stay put and runs in the other room.
Julie finds Doug's pocket watch and kisses it. When she returns, she hands it to young Douglas and says it belonged to his other grandfather. Doug thanks Julie for her kindness. She asks him to tell her the amount of money he owes the loan sharks and she will wire him the money. Julie doesn't want him to be in continued danger. Doug is so very grateful and Julie says she knows it's what Doug would have wanted.
Marlena and John's Penthouse: Belle asks Marlena about EJ's hypnosis session. She hesitates because of doctor/patient confidentiality but Belle says he already told her about it. She wonders if trauma is actually what's keeping him from remembering the shooting. Marlena isn't certain. Belle apologizes as she doesn't want to stress her mother out. She asks about the grief they are both experiencing about John and wonders if they talk about it enough with everything going on. Belle wants her mother to know she never forgets it but doesn't bring it up as she wants to respect her as a psychiatrist. Marlena says not talking about the situation is right for her in this moment.
Susan arrives and tells Belle she there for Johnny but also to offer her condolences about John. Marlena walks back in and Susan tells her how amazing John Black was. She goes on and on about their history together and Marlena says he was very fond of her. She embraces Dr Marlena Evans as Belle controls her giggles. Susan pulls back and says she got a very weird vibe from her. Marlena inquires and Susan tries to explain but Belle quickly gets her out.
Days of Our Lives Recap: Marlena Collapses in Court
Endings
Young Douglas promises to pay Julie back. She doesn't want his money but only asks he stay out of trouble. Doug promises he will make life changes, so he doesn't continue making the same mistakes. He grabs his bag, and they promise to keep in touch. Julie says Doug has a great deal of potential and asks that he return to Salem when he has his life together. Doug promises to do so and exits (Don't go!).
Gwen wonders why Gabi shot EJ but she says she didn't. Gabi admits she hated EJ and tells her many reasons why. Gabi asks if Gwen ran into Stefan in Alamania but she did not. She says Tony and Anna tried to reach out with no response (Both Dimitri and Stefan MIA…). Gwen and Gabi tell each other to go to hell before parting ways.
Johnny and Chanel get a little frisky when they realize they've got a little time on their hands.
Sarah admits she should have separated from Xander when he tried to hurt Brady. She promises to stop talking about Xander, but he says she can vent to him whenever she wants. Sarah says she has so much time on her hands as Victoria is with Xander. She then agrees to go to dinner with him and Rachel. After they exit, Sarah pulls up Sophia's ultrasound and confirms the baby was a boy.
Belle returns from walking Susan out and finds her mother asleep on the sofa. She covers her with a blanket and exits the room. The camera focuses on Marlena and shoots to the book '1001 Arabian Nights.' In her dreams, we find Marlena in her nightgown entering what seems to be a restaurant. She asks aloud what this place is and then two scantily clad women wrap luxurious fabric around her. Next, Marlena looks up and asks someone what they want (Those last few scenes were flashback from Stefano making Marlena his Queen of the Night which led to her initial possession). In real-time, Marlena has a restless sleep.

The World's Best Whiskey—According To The 2025 New Orleans Spirits Competition

A marriage of Scotch and American whiskey-making traditions, Lineage took home the top prize at the ... More 4th annual New Orleans Spirits Competition All the talk in the spirits world last week was reserved for Tales of the Cocktail, the industry's largest annual conference. But since 2022, the gathering – which takes place every July – has also played host to a lesser known judging event: The New Orleans Spirit Competition. A late arrival to the increasingly dense booze-award-industrial-complex, NOSC is looking to make up for lost time by coming out of the gates with an impressive array of professional palates. It helps, no doubt, that many of them are already in town for Tales. The competition also professes to stand out thanks to its unique evaluation format. The entries are judged, as described on its website, thusly: To be clear, the audience does not get an actual vote in the process. But they do enjoy a place in the room and are afforded an opportunity to be a part of the conversation. As such, it's a slightly more democratized process than anything else you'll see in the industry. And, as with any truly independent competition, each spirit is tasted in the blind. Ultimately, hundreds of awards are doled out ranging from Best of Category down through Double Gold, Gold, Silver and Bronze. There's also a separate evaluation for Packaging Excellence. But what we care most about is how it all distills down in the best of the best distinctions. For that there are 11 separate 'Spirits of the Year." There can be only one for all the major liquor categories plus RTD, No & Low Elixir, and Syrups & Mixers. Today we're taking a closer look at what those panelists deemed the best whiskey of the year for 2025: Balcones Lineage, an American Single Malt distilled and aged in Waco, Texas. The unique 94-proof liquid marries whiskey making traditions typical to both the US and Scotland. To wit, it's made from a combination of Scottish and Texas-grown barley, which is then matured in refill and new oak barrels. The best of both worlds; Old and New. In the pour, this hybridization results in a sweeter, fruitier nose – raspberry, banana and apricot steal top-notes from the underlying malt. There is a dryness to the initial sip; cedar and sarsaparilla, opening up to reveal cinnamon spice in the finish. A prolonged breadiness stays with the back of the tongue long after it has gone down. All in all this is a fantastically approachable dram, particularly from this distillery – a craft darling which was purchased by Diageo in 2022. Balcones often brings to bottle higher-proof offerings that can be challenging to the whiskey novice. With Lineage, it has managed to walk that fine line, delivering something that satisfies newcomers and advanced sippers, alike. And it does so at the crowd-pleasing price of $40 a bottle. To take home the top prize, Lineage bested some big names from far more prominent genres of whiskey, including the Bourbon and Scotch categories that helped informed its creation – categories with hundreds of years of history. American Single Malt, by comparison, was only formally recognized as a style at the beginning of 2025. Perhaps laudable recognition such as this can help lift its stature on the international stage. Either way, it arrives at a pivotal time for American spirits as a whole. According to the most recent economic report from DISCUS, exports of such just reached a record high of $2.4 billion. And as of this weekend, the US and the European Union appear to be on the precipice of a new trade agreement which would keep those exports shipping out, tariff free. 'We are optimistic that in the days ahead this positive meeting and agreement will lead to a return to zero-for-zero tariffs for U.S. and EU spirits products,' says DISCUS president and CEO Chris Swonger. 'This will benefit not only our nation's distillers, but also the American workers and farmers who support them from grain to glass.' It'll also benefit European connoisseurs eager for their first sampling of American Single Malt. And for that, as the judges in New Orleans have made clear, Balcones Lineage is a sensible starting point. The whiskeys from Balcones distillery feel bold, clean and distinctly American. 'Duck Dynasty' star Willie Robertson shares late father Phil Robertson's final message

"Duck Dynasty" star Willie Robertson revealed the final message that his late father shared with their family before his death. In May, Phil Robertson, famous for founding the Duck Commander hunting company that became the focus of his A&E show, died at the age of 79. The "Duck Dynasty" family patriarch had previously battled multiple health conditions, including Alzheimer's disease. "Phil had been struggling with Alzheimer's for a while," Willie, 53, said. "It was on our mind for sure, his condition. It's part of life." He continued, "Phil had such a strong faith. He told us before, 'Do not cry at my funeral. I know where I'm going.'" 'DUCK DYNASTY' STAR PHIL ROBERTSON FORCES HIMSELF TO EAT AS HE BATTLES ALZHEIMER'S, PLANS TO 'KEEP THE FAITH' "What a life he lived," Willie added. "We heard that from thousands of people, the people he impacted. Phil would have wanted us to do exactly what we're doing. Whatever is a reflection of that faith, and our show is a reflection of our faith." "Not overtly. We're not trying to preach to people or convert people, but I think you can see the fruit in the faith of our show and our family and how it sticks together through good times and bad. That's why we are on this earth. As we move on, I think it's a reminder to all of us the time will come. I hope I have a funeral like that where people feel that way about me as well." Phil, who was diagnosed with Alzheimer's in December, passed away during the same week that his family's new show "Duck Dynasty: The Revival" premiered. Though Phil did not participate in "Duck Dynasty: The Revival" due to his health issues, the series' first episode included a tribute to him. The video begins with footage of Willie reading an introduction for the show off his laptop to Phil, who was seen sitting in an armchair. "So ladies and gentlemen, start your engines. Only one will earn the bandana, so let the games begin. What do you think, Phil?" Willie asked. Phil replied by giving his son a big thumb's up. The scene faded to black as a photo of Phil appeared alongside the in-memoriam tribute. "Ah, that was awesome!" Willie was heard saying in response to his father's gesture in the background of the tribute. Willie's wife Korie, who joined him for the interview, told TV Insider that the timing of Phil's death was "a little surreal." "It was really special to our family that we had that one little clip," she said. "When filming this time around, he was already in the throes of Alzheimer's, so he wasn't able to be part of the show. We did film that one little thing where he gave Willie the thumbs up." "It's funny to see the comments [from fans] who are like, 'The next generation are yuppies. They aren't passing things on.' "But we are passing on Phil's legacy because his legacy was first about faith," she said. "His whole motto was faith, family, ducks, in that order. His first was faith. All our kids are living that out in really beautiful ways and family." "That's what this show is about," Korie added. "It's about family, inner-generational family living life together and what that might look like. And then ducks. We're still running Duck Commander, the business he started from the duck call he invented years and years ago. That has been really special to carry that legacy on now after his passing." WATCH DUCK FAMILY TREASURE ONLINE | STREAM FOX NATION Phil founded Duck Commander in 1972. The "Duck Dynasty" television show premiered 40 years later, in 2012, before it ended in 2017. During a recent interview with Fox News Digital, Willie and Korie explained how they were coping after losing Phil and how they were touched by the outpouring of support that they received from fans. "I think it's a combination of some sadness, just we miss him, but also joy and happiness from what he believed and where he was going and all the things he was able to accomplish in his life," Willie said. "And so many people that he helped and we were reminded of that at his passing. And just so many people just flooded us with messages of how he had helped change their life, either directly or indirectly through the show or through the podcast or books he has written." CLICK HERE TO SIGN UP FOR THE ENTERTAINMENT NEWSLETTER While Willie shared that it was "tragic" watching his father suffer during his battle with Alzheimer's, he said it helped prepare the family for his passing. "You're ready," he said. "We knew, he's ready to move on and so yeah, it's kind of mixed. But there was really more joy." "Phil pre-warned us," he added. "We told a lot of funny stories and just brought back all those fun memories," Korie chimed in. "It's a little bit the Robertson way. Even in the hard things, we laugh a lot through it." Korie said they hoped future generations would be inspired by Phil's dedication to his faith and how it transformed his life. "Just in passing down that legacy — one of the things that we've just been reminded of over and over again is just this man who lived down on the river, didn't own a cell phone or a computer — what God did with his life. Because he was just truly passionately sold out for Jesus," she said. Korie continued, "And so I think for all of us, it's brought even more of a boldness to our faith to say like, 'Hey, we follow Jesus, and that's who we are.' And if you want to know more about it, come talk to us because it's brought a full life." CLICK HERE TO GET THE FOX NEWS APP "And a changed life," Willie added. "There would never have been a 'Duck Dynasty' show. There wouldn't have been company had his life not changed. This family would not have stayed together." Phil's wife Kay, 77, has previously spoken out about how the couple faced marital struggles in the early years of their union due to Phil's alcoholism and infidelity before he committed to his faith. The pair, who married in 1966, had four sons including Willie, Alan, 59, Jase, 55 and Jep, 47, as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. "It's all responsible to his faith and his life change, of he and mom together to keep this family together," he said. "And now we're seeing so much fruit of that."

Christina Applegate explains 'I don't enjoy living' comments after worried fans react

This story discusses suicide. If you or someone you know is having thoughts of suicide, please contact the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline at 988 or 1-800-273-TALK (8255). Christina Applegate is clarifying recent comments that she made about struggling with her mental health amid her battle with multiple sclerosis (MS). During the June 4 episode of her "MeSsy" podcast, which she co-hosts with Jamie-Lynn Sigler, the 52-year-old "Dead to Me" actress shared that she was "in a depression." "Like a real, f--- it all depression where it's kind of scaring me a little bit because it feels really fatalistic. I'm trapped in this darkness right now that I haven't felt like... I don't even know how long, probably 20 something years," said Applegate, who first revealed her diagnosis with the chronic disease in 2021. "This is being really honest... I don't enjoy living. I don't enjoy it. I don't enjoy things anymore," she added. In the latest episode of the "MeSsy" podcast, Applegate reassured fans who were concerned about her well-being and said she was "very disturbed" by the "clickbait" about her remarks. CHRISTINA APPLEGATE ADDRESSES FUTURE AS AN ACTRESS AMID MS DIAGNOSIS "I'm good. Does that take a little bit of the pressure off of all of you? I'm good," Applegate said. "Let's address it," said Sigler, who is also battling MS. "We are going to address it," Applegate said. "I was talking about some dark stuff I was thinking and feeling." "This is our safe place to get those things out," she continued. "Because I feel that when we hold things in, we give them power. I also think that there's so much shame that a lot of people feel when they're going through mental health issues, and they call them issues." "I hate that," the actress added. "It's not mental issues. It's not a problem. It's a moment. It's a thought. It's a feeling. And when people hold those in because they're so afraid to say how they truly feel, we give it immense power." The "Married… with Children" alum said she believes "society has told us that we're supposed to be just f------ fine." "And I am not into that," Applegate said. "I am not a proponent of that kind of thing. I think that it's incredibly healing and important to be able to express the thoughts, whether that makes someone uncomfortable or not, to be able to say it." LIKE WHAT YOU'RE READING? CLICK HERE FOR MORE ENTERTAINMENT NEWS Following her remarks, the Emmy Award winner said she began receiving text messages from people who were worried about her and had to reassure them that she has "beautiful people around me and beautiful support systems." However, Applegate expressed her fear that the outpouring of concern might make others more reluctant to express their feelings. "By making such a big deal about it you're making other people think, 'Oh, s---, I can't talk about this.' And that is not OK with me," she said. "It's important to be able to say these things. And, no, I'm not sitting here on suicide watch, OK? I am not. Nor have I ever been." "I dare anyone to be diagnosed with MS or any kind of chronic illness that has taken who you were prior to that moment and go, 'This is great,'" she continued. "You know? No, you have moments of feeling, 'This is tiring and I don't wanna do this.' But you do it, and by having friends like you and my beautiful friends that I have saying this s--- out loud, it releases the pressure in the balloon." Applegate revealed her diagnosis on X, formerly Twitter, in 2021. CLICK HERE TO SIGN UP FOR THE ENTERTAINMENT NEWSLETTER "Hi friends. A few months ago I was diagnosed with MS," she wrote. "It's been a strange journey. But I have been so supported by people that I know who also have this condition," Applegate continued. "It's been a tough road. But as we all know, the road keeps going. Unless some a--hole blocks it." In a separate post, she added, "As one of my friends that has MS said, 'We wake up and take the indicated action.' And that's what I do." In her first lengthy in-person interview since she found out about the illness, Applegate opened up about the "hell" she has been living in. "I live kind of in hell," she said during a "Good Morning America" interview in March. "I'm not out a lot, so this is a little difficult, just for my system. But of course, the support is wonderful, and I'm really grateful." CLICK HERE TO GET THE FOX NEWS APP Fox News Digital's Lauryn Overhultz contributed to this report.
