Wynne Evans makes shock return to BBC for first time since calling in lawyers over Strictly Come Dancing tour axe

WELSH opera singer Wynne Evans surprised BBC viewers when he made an unexpected appearance on the public broadcaster.
The tenor, 53, was dropped from his BBC Wales radio show and the the Strictly Live Tour for making a crude remark at the Strictly Live Tour launch event.

Wynne has even lawyered up to take the corporation to a tribunal over his sacking, so it came as a surprise when he popped up on BBC One on Saturday evening.
The Go Compare star was teamed up with actress Joanna Page on the quiz show in the episode which was likely recorded before his legal action.
While putting in a valiant effort, the pair missed out on making it to the finals and bowed out in the penultimate round.
Wynne even promoted his appearance ahead of it going to air by posting a selfie with Joanna on Instagram.
"Tonight back on BBC One for Celebrity Pointless with Joanna," he captioned the post.
But viewers watching at home were less than impressed seeing Wynne on their tellies.
"Seriously??? Who the hell thought Wynne Evans appearing would be a good idea," wrote one person on X, formerly Twitter.
Another added: "#PointlessCelebrities I thought this bloke was banned from the @bbc"
And a third commented: "This could be Wynne Evans's last BBC appearance #pointlesscelebrities."
Wynne had competed on the 20th anniversary series of the Strictly Come Dancing with professional dancer Katya Jones.
Furious Wynne Evans reveals he's no longer speaking to Strictly's Katya Jones as he hits out at BBC
In May, he announced he had been dropped by the BBC and would no longer present on BBC Radio Wales after apologising for using "inappropriate language" during the launch of the Strictly tour.
Bosses then axed his travelogue with pal Joanna Page, All At Sea, after just one season.
Wynne's apology came after it was reported he had aimed a sexual joke at one of the other professional dancers, Janette Manrara, a claim he had denied.
He was also embroiled in a 'gropegate' scandal when he appeared to place an unsolicited hand on the stomach of pro partner Katya in last year's Strictly.
More recently, Wynne revealed he had split from fiance Liz Brookes just weeks after getting engaged.

David Haye 'in advanced talks to join I'm A Celebrity All Stars' over a decade after his first appearance on ITV show

Ex-boxing champ David Haye is reportedly in advanced talks to join I'm A Celebrity All Stars. The 44-year-old award-winning athlete is said to have been asked by ITV bosses to make his return to the spin-off show. David, who came in third in the main 2012 series, could be jetting off to South Africa for the upcoming All Stars version. A source told The Sun: 'David was delighted to get the call from ITV. 'As viewers know, no chats are off-limits around the campfire, so they can expect to see David grilled over his quirky relationships.' David has made headlines over being in three-way 'throuple' relationships with his girlfriend Sian Osborne and other women. He came third during his previous stint in the jungle, behind Pussycat Dolls singer Ashley Roberts and EastEnders actress Charlie Brooks, who won. Daily Mail have contacted ITV and David's representatives for a comment. ITV are reportedly lining up Ashley Roberts to return for the All Stars version, too. The former Pussycat Doll, 43, is believed to be a favourite of show bosses after she had some 'iconic moments soaping up in the outback waterfall', according to The Sun. Seann Walsh is also among those rumoured to be heading back to the jungle. The comedian originally jetted off to Australia for the ITV show in 2022 in the hope of 'redeeming himself' following the Strictly scandal four years prior. And during his time in the jungle Seann was popular with his campmates and viewers finishing in a respectable fifth place. Now the TV star is reportedly in advance talks with ITV about signing on the dotted line for the second series of the All Stars spin-off. Seann originally jetted off to Australia for the ITV show in 2022 in the hope of 'redeeming himself' following the Strictly scandal four years prior and finished in fifth place The first All Stars series of the show aired in 2023, and brought back former campmates Myleene Klass, who finished in first place, as well as Helen Flanagan, Jordan Banjo, Shaun Ryder, Phil Tufnell and Carol Vorderman. Fan favourites also in question are none other than Jungle King Harry Redknapp and Gemma Collins, according to The Sun. The popular former Spurs boss, 78, is said to be set for another huge pay cheque after reportedly earning £500,000 on 2018's main series. Meanwhile, Gemma is also on the verge of landing a mega-deal - reputed to be over £150,000 - despite quitting 2014's main show after just three days. A source told the publication: 'It's going to be a real coup.

A show insider told the Daily Star: "Everyone at the BBC thinks Destination X is a cracking show, so they want to bring it back in 2026. "It's a clear sign that they have faith it could become one of the biggest shows on TV." The news comes after The Sun exclusively revealed the BBC had decided to axe another of its big money shows. Challenge show Survivor has been cancelled despite splurging a reported £30million on the reboot. The decision means the reality programme is being seen as television's most expensive flop. After the new version tanked in the ratings, there had been speculation that a second series was paused. Now, host Joel Dommett has revealed that it has gone for good. Destination X reveals savage 'sabotage' twist as player handed game-changing advantage ahead of brutal cliffhanger Former I'm A Celebrity star Joel, 40, said: 'It just shows you how nothing is a given in telly.
