Deputies in standoff at beachfront home in Malibu
The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department is engaged in a standoff in Malibu on Wednesday. At about 10:15 a.m., deputies were called to the 25000 block of Malibu Road for a reported assault with a deadly weapon, the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department said. Two people were possibly hurt, though the extent of their injuries has not been made public. The person accused of hurting them is barricaded inside a home in the area, and Malibu Road is closed in the area, the LASD said on social media.
