Air India Plane crash: An Air India flight bound for London Gatwick crashed during take-off from Ahmedabad on Thursday afternoon, in what is being described as one of the most serious aviation incidents in recent years. Actor Shah Rukh Khan has reacted to the incident, sharing that he is 'absolutely heartbroken.' Taking to his X (formerly Twitter) account, Shah Rukh said, 'Absolutely heartbroken with the news about the crash in Ahmedabad… my prayers for the victims, their families and all affected.'
Several Bollywood stars, from Akshay Kumar to Alia Bhatt, Janhvi Kapoor to Ananya Panday, Kangana Ranaut to Sonu Sood,have taken to their social media accounts to react to the shocking incident.
The Air India plane carrying 242 passengers and crew crashed in a crowded residential area minutes after taking off from the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport in Ahmedabad on Thursday. Air India posted on X that the Boeing Dreamliner 787 flight was carrying 169 Indian nationals, 53 British nationals, one Canadian and seven Portuguese.
PM Narendra Modi wrote, "The tragedy in Ahmedabad has stunned and saddened us. It is heartbreaking beyond words. In this sad hour, my thoughts are with everyone affected by it. Have been in touch with Ministers and authorities who are working to assist those affected."
Shah Rukh recently made his debut at the Met Gala, walking in an outfit designed and styled by designer Sabyasachi Mukherjee. The actor was last seen in Dunki.
Fans will see Shah Rukh next in King, which will also star his daughter Suhana Khan. The cast is also expected to include Abhishek Bachchan, Anil Kapoor, Deepika Padukone, Rani Mukerji, Arshad Warsi, Anil Kapoor, Jackie Shroff, Jaideep Ahlawat and Abhay Verma. The film is expected to be released in 2026.

Sharing the image, she wrote, ''Quiet' night in Tel Aviv. Pray for us all. We will prevail. I am happy to stand with Israel today, now more than ever'. Caitlyn later updated her followers that she was taking shelter amid the escalating situation. She wrote, 'We are back in the shelters in Tel Aviv. This looks like it is the third wave of attack from Iran'. She was also photographed drinking a glass of wine in a bomb shelter with an Israeli influencer. The image surfaced on X from Regev Gur's handle and shows Caitlyn raising her glass of wine to pose for the selfie. Caitlyn also spoke to a local TV channel, according to The Mirror. The former Olympian mentioned that she is keeping in contact with her loved ones back in California, including her daughter Kylie Jenner. Caitlyn said, "I spoke with my daughter Kylie, and she urged me to stay safe. I reassured her'. She emphasised, "Don't worry, I'll keep myself safe, and they'll take care of me." Tel Aviv has been on alert after Iran launched hundreds of ballistic missiles against Israel late on Friday amid escalating conflict between the two countries. The attack came as a retaliation against Israel's strikes earlier in the day, blasting Iran's huge underground nuclear site at Natanz and wiping out its top military commanders. Tensions between Israel, the US and Iran have escalated in recent weeks, amid negotiations over the Iran nuclear deal, which is aimed at preventing the country from developing nuclear weapons.

Kapur died on Thursday while playing a match in Windsor when a bee reportedly got into his mouth and stung him. According to PEOPLE, the sting caused a severe allergic reaction, also known as anaphylactic shock, following which he collapsed on the field and died shortly after. According to the Mirror, Kapoor once said, '(Sunjay) decided to carry on, leaving me behind to take care of our sick four-month-old son, just to play a Polo match with Prince William. I also realised that he had married me only because I was a famous and successful film star, which would facilitate him to be reported in the press.' According to doctors, a bee sting in the mouth can be extremely dangerous as it can block the airway and lead to heart failure. Meanwhile, his death is under investigation.
