England host Senegal at The City Ground tonight in a friendly in the second of their two international matches during this current break.
Thomas Tuchel's side started this month with a clean sheet in a 1-0 win over Andorra on Saturday in World Cup qualification, with Harry Kane firing the ball into the roof of the net from a couple of yards out to score the only goal of the game.

The three points cemented England's place five points clear at the top of Group K, edging them closer to qualification for the tournament in North America next summer.

They are set to welcome Senegal to Nottingham this evening, who are arriving following a dominant performance against Ireland despite it ending in a 1-1 scoreline.
Here is everything you need to know about this friendly match in the east Midlands....
What time is kick-off?
The game between England and Senegal is kicking off at 7.45pm at The City Ground, Nottingham.

Is the game on TV?
Yes, the game is going to be shown on ITV1, ITV X, STV and STV Player.
All these options are free.
What is the team news?
Tuchel has confirmed there will be changes made to the matchday squad due to the sub-par performance of his England side who were booed into the dressing room at half-time while the score was 0-0 against Andorra, with the Three Lions squandering numerous opportunities to open the scoring.

Arsenal winger Bukayo Saka is set for a place in the starting XI, having been rested on Saturday.
'He will start. Of course he is a key player for us," Tuchel said of Saka.
When Tuchel was asked about who may captain the side, he revealed: 'It is very likely that it is the same captain,' suggesting Kane is frontrunner to lead from the front, but Tuchel is not opposed to giving Ivan Toney minutes in the game either.

As for Senegal, high-profile ex-Liverpool winger Sadio Mane withdrew from the camp ahead of the two games in the UK.
'Personal reasons' were suggested as the reasoning, with coach Pape Thiaw granting his request, and in a press conference he said: 'I coach 26 players, and so the most important thing is the collective.'
One injury blow that this team has faced in this international break is to young Como 1907 sensation Assane Diao, who sustained an injury to his right foot and had to undergo surgery.

Diao had received a call-up to the Senegalese national side in the previous March camp, starting the final game in a 2-0 win against Togo. This run of form from January onwards, starting every Como game, was cut short after a 3-0 win against Lecce, with Diao scoring a brace, before having to undergo surgery after a training injury.
What have the managers said?
Tuchel: 'We face a more physical and demanding team and maybe from the first look on the paper [the XI will not appear] as offensive as Andorra but [we may] give the players a little bit more freedom to express themselves and hopefully we see the next step straight away on Tuesday."

Man United agree £1m deal for highly rated 16-year-old Southampton defender Harley Emsden-James

Manchester United have agreed a £1m deal for 16-year-old Harley Emsden-James from Southampton. United will also pay add-ons for the defender while Saints have a 20 per cent sell on. Arsenal, Tottenham and Chelsea were among the clubs interested in signing the teenager last summer. The acquisition of Emsden-James is the latest example of United's efforts to poach highly rated talent from other Premier League sides. His arrival follows the signings of Chido Obi and Ayden Heaven from Arsenal last season, who were both handed first-team minutes during the campaign. Emsden-James got his first taste of Under 18s football during the 2024-25 season, making two appearances despite being only 15-years-old. He is likely to be part of the Red Devils' U18s squad next term. Given he will not turn 17 until March 2026, it is unlikely he will be handed regular minutes at U21 level. Meanwhile, in what is expected to be a busy summer for United, the club are continuing talks for Brentford striker Bryan Mbeumo after last week's opening offer of £55million was rejected. The Red Devils were dealt a blow last weekend when reports emerged that Tottenham were entering the race for the 25-year-old. Mbeumo is seen as a key target for United, who are looking to improve their lacklustre squad after a dreadful campaign. The Red Devils scored just 44 goals in the Premier League, the second lowest of any non-relegated side.

Revealed: Trent Alexander Arnold's new shirt number at Real Madrid ahead of Club World Cup after controversial Liverpool exit

Trent Alexander-Arnold has been handed his new shirt number at Real Madrid ahead of the Club World Cup. The right back is in line to make his debut for the Spanish giants next Wednesday when they face Al-Hilal in their first group game after Real paid Liverpool £10m to release him from his contract early so he could play in the tournament. Alexander-Arnold wore the No 66 shirt at Liverpool, but this will not be an option at Real due to LaLiga rules stating that shirt numbers must fall between 1 and 25. It has now been confirmed that Alexander-Arnold will wear the No 12 shirt at his new club. The name on the back of his shirt will also change and now read 'Trent' rather than 'Alexander-Arnold'. The 26-year-old is due to be unveiled as a Madrid player on Thursday before the team jet off to the US to compete in the group stage where they are scheduled to face Al-Hilal, Pachuca and Red Bull Salzburg. It will be Alexander-Arnold's first chance to impress new manager Xabi Alonso, with the Spaniard taking over from Carlo Ancelotti. 🚨🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 OFFICIAL: Trent Alexander-Arnold will wear number 12 at Real Madrid. — Madrid Xtra (@MadridXtra) June 11, 2025 🚨🏆 Real Madrid's squad list for the Club World Cup + official shirt numbers of the players. — Madrid Xtra (@MadridXtra) June 11, 2025 Fans will be eager to see how Alexander-Arnold settles at Madrid following his controversial Liverpool exit. Alexander-Arnold opted to run down his contract to leave his boyhood club on a free transfer at the end of the season, leading to an angry response from some Liverpool fans. After announcing his decision to leave in early May, Alexander-Arnold was booed by his own supporters when he came off the bench during a 2-2 draw with Arsenal at Anfield. A number of his team-mates and Arne Slot leapt to his defence after that game as they asked fans to remember his previous years of service. The England international did not feature in Liverpool's next game - a 3-2 away defeat by Brighton - but did come on as a half-time substitute on the final day against Crystal Palace. On that occasion, he received a much better reception from supporters, and he was then cheered by most fans when he went up to collect his medal during the post-match presentation as Liverpool lifted the Premier League trophy. Alexander-Arnold broke down in tears as he did a lap of honour to thank fans after the presentation, and he was seen crying again during Liverpool's open-top bus parade the following day. But he has never left Merseyside behind for a new life in the Spanish capital, and he is just days away from making his debut for Real in his No 12 jersey.

Northern Ireland's ‘togetherness' helped us see off Iceland, hails Crystal Palace star

Leading by Isaac Price's first half goal, the Windsor Park friendly took a more challenging turn for the home side when Brodie Spencer was sent off in the 57th minute. Michael O'Neill's young guns had a fight on their hands to maintain their excellent recent home record, but battle they did to secure a morale boosting triumph in their last match before September's World Cup qualifiers in Luxembourg and Germany – with Devenny insisting the Green and White Army played an important role. 'As soon as Brodie went off it was like we got our 11th man with the crowd. I thought they were amazing,' said the FA Cup winner. 'You can look at it however you want, but it was a friendly game and it sold out and that speaks volumes about the atmosphere and the crowd. 'On the pitch I thought everyone dug deep for each other. We showed that togetherness as a squad. We went down to 10 men but it didn't stop us working hard and doing the basics right. 'I think good teams win when they're up against it or when they've got a man sent off. We stuck together, which I think is key to this group. Everyone's there for each other and going above and beyond for each other. It's great to have that within a squad and I think that's what brings us up to that next level. 'On the park everyone's there talking to each other, making sure everyone's doing their jobs. That starts from Pierce (Charles) in goal all the way up to the striker. Everyone's good at that. 'It might not have been the prettiest game, but we got the result which we wanted. We'll look to improve the quality in the next one. 'The win gives us momentum going into the big games. We've got the qualifiers coming up and we're all focused on that now. 'You want to play at as high a level as possible. It's almost like you want to play in the Premier League and then you play in the Premier League and it's like, 'What's the next step?' It's just kind of always looking up. You could say the same for the World Cup. Again, it's what you dream of as a kid so yeah, I'm looking forward to it.' Quizzed on Spencer's emotions after his red card, Devenny said: 'He's just got to pick his head up. I think for him it'll probably be a bit of a learning experience. He's a good lad and he'll work hard.' On starting the last two internationals in an unfamiliar left wing back type role, Devenny added: 'It's probably not what I'm used to but I've enjoyed the two games that I've played there. I thought I did okay. "Maybe it wasn't my best game against Iceland but I think it's good balance for the team because Brodie had been playing there before on the right foot and just having a left foot there, I think that's what Michael wanted for the balance of the team and just being able to then open up on the left.'
