
Bracebridge police seek driver who fled scene of collision
Last Thursday at round 6 p.m., police received a variety of complaints from motorists on Muskoka Road 118 about the erratic driving of a pickup truck.
The witnesses then saw the pickup truck rear-end another vehicle causing damage. He then fled the area.
Onlookers assisted police by detailing the whereabouts of the driver before he abandoned the truck and fled on foot near Leonard Lake Road 1.
Police describe the pickup as a 2016 Dodge Ram with Ontario licence plate AY91592.
The driver is described as a Caucasian male, approximately 30 years old, with blond hair and a reddish beard. He was wearing a blue tank top, blue shorts and a baseball cap.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Bracebridge OPP at 1-888-310-1122 or report anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.

Moose Jaw police ask for help locating suspect in hit and run involving pedestrian

Officers responded to the scene at the intersection of 1st Avenue Northeast and Oxford Street East around 12 p.m. on Saturday, according to a news release from the Moose Jaw Police Service (MJPS). The pedestrian was taken to hospital by EMS with serious injuries, police said. Police said the suspect fled east onto Oxford Street in what they believe was a red pickup truck and are asking the suspect to come forward. Anyone with information or video footage of the area from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. that would help police with their investigation are also asked to bring that to the MJPS or Crime Stoppers.

Driver dead following crash on QEW in Grimsby
Emergency crews are on the scene of a single-vehicle crash on the QEW in Grimsby on Saturday, Aug. 2, 2025. Man, 29, wanted in connection with death, arson in Bracebridge, police say
Police are searching for a man in connection with a death and arson that happened Friday night at a residence in Bracebridge. The man, 29, who is from Bracebridge, is wanted for murder, Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) said in a post on X, formerly Twitter. He is described as approximately 5'8" tall, with light brown hair and facial hair, police said. "He is not believed to pose an immediate threat to others or to public safety," police wrote in the post. A shelter-in-place was in effect for Bracebridge until 1:45 a.m. on Saturday. Officers responded to a report of gunfire at approximately 8 p.m. on Beatrice Town Line Road on Friday. When they arrived, they found a dead man and the residence was engulfed in flames, OPP said. Bracebridge OPP's crime unit is currently investigating.
