Brittany Hockley brutally slammed by judges on Dancing With The Stars - after revealing she suffered a X-rated wardrobe malfunction

Daily Mail9 hours ago

Dancing With The Stars returned to Channel Seven on Sunday night with a bang - and one contestant who definitely made an impression was radio star Brittany Hockley.
But it wasn't all glitter and glamour for the Life Uncut podcaster, who was slammed by notoriously tough judge Craig Revel Horwood, who didn't hold back.
'You looked like you were drunk and lost at the party,' Craig said bluntly after Brittany's high-energy cha-cha performance with partner Craig Monley.
'There was no hip action… It was too upright. Every spin lacked spotting. And point your feet in the lifts, darling. No clumpy feet!'
Despite the scathing critique, Brittany managed to win over the other judges – and the audience – with her infectious energy and unfiltered charm.
From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the DailyMail's new showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop.
She even shocked the crowd by revealing a wardrobe malfunction that could have turned X-rated during rehearsals.
'For everyone playing at home, my skirt came off today… multiple times while I was dancing,' she told co-host Sonia Kruger.
'It threw my confidence in the rehearsal, thinking it would happen again. And no one needs to see me in a G-string!'
Fellow judge Sharna Burgess praised Brittany's resilience, saying: 'You had a crappy dress rehearsal, but an amazing show. You're infectious to watch.'
Helen Richey added: 'You're totally uninhibited. Sure, there were a few hiccups, but you looked like you were loving every minute of it. You're full of potential.'
Mark Wilson echoed similar sentiments, describing Brittany as 'vivacious' and full of 'beautiful energy'.
The judges weren't the only ones watching closely – host Sonia Kruger couldn't help but joke that this was the 'first time in eight seasons' she'd seen Craig Monley smile.
Brittany, 37, later laughed off the ordeal, heading upstairs to the skybox to reflect on the performance.
Meanwhile, 7 presenter Michael Usher (pictured) shocked everyone, soaring to the top of the leaderboard with 27 points and unanimous praise from the judges
'I had fun,' she said. 'Definitely nailed it better in practice. Still catching my breath!'
But Brittany wasn't the only star making waves in the season premiere.
Olympic boxer Harry Garside delivered an energetic jive full of daring lifts, prompting Mark to jump to his feet and demand an encore.
Despite scoring 21, the panel was split - Sharna called for more 'refinement,' Craig called it 'messy,' while Helen boldly predicted Harry could be 'the heavyweight in this competition.'
Swimming legend Susie O'Neil performed a shaky tango, landing the night's lowest score of 13. But the judges admired her courage and clear improvement since rehearsals.
Meanwhile, 7NEWS presenter Michael Usher shocked everyone, soaring to the top of the leaderboard with 27 points and unanimous praise from the judges for his musicality and charisma.
Closing the show, Rebecca Gibney lit up the floor with a cheeky cha-cha-cha.
The performance, while technically flawed, was a crowd-pleaser. 'So wrong, it was right,' said Mark.

Lara Worthington shares touching tribute to husband Sam alongside intimate gallery of family photos

Lara Worthington has shared a touching tribute to husband Sam Worthington. The glamorous stay-at-home mother celebrated the Avatar star on Father's Day, held on June 15 in the US, by sharing a gallery of rarely seen family photos to Instagram. In the carousel, Sam looked every inch the doting father to their three children, showing a softer side to the notoriously private actor. In one frame, the 48-year-old is seen smiling for the camera while horsing around with his sons in a swimming pool. In another frame, Sam is pictured tenderly nursing one of his sons on a private jet while playfully sucking on a dummy. From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral The third image sees Sam shirtless, holding one of their newborns against his bare chest. Lara captioned the images simply, writing, 'Happy Father's Day' across all three. Lara and Sam began dating in 2013 and married the following year. The model previously told The Daily Telegraph that the couple are enjoying growing old together. 'We've only got each other. Sam and I are a good team. We're both Australians and we have the same values. We come at our children as a team... I think that's really important,' she said. Lara went on to say that she and her family are 'all very close' and that she isn't too strict a parent. 'They always make me feel so good, especially Sam. I don't want that to ever go; I hope it doesn't,' she said. 'But being able to be a mum and to work definitely stems from your partner. Sam and I are on the same page, so I feel like he's "got me" when I'm working and vice versa.' Sam and Lara currently split their time between Sydney and New York. Last year, the Avatar star revealed he had no plans for a permanent move Down Under any time soon. Speaking to GQ Australia, Sam said that he owed 'everything' to his adopted homeland. 'No. I like America,' Sam said when asked if a move was in the couple's future. 'America has given me everything and I've been here for 20-odd years. There's anonymity but there's also a real sense of community which is very cool.' Sam added he was also enamoured by New York - a place where his acting is not always the first topic of conversation. They share three sons - Rocket, Racer and River.

Nigella Lawson reveals the unassuming dish from little-known Sydney restaurant she'd travel 17,000km to eat again: 'Phenomenal'

Nigella Lawson has revealed the one dish in Sydney she would happily fly 17,000km from home to eat again - and it's not what you'd expect. The beloved British food writer and TV host, currently in Australia, took to Instagram to rave about her dinner at Café Paci, a small but highly acclaimed restaurant tucked away on King Street in Newtown. Among a spread of oysters, handmade tonnarelli, and a show-stopping dessert, one entrée in particular left her completely awestruck: fermented carrots on n'duja-spread crisp and thin rye bread. 'The dish I'd come the 17,000 kilometres from home to eat,' she said, sharing a photo of the now-iconic starter. 'That piercingly precise, headily uplifting entrée/starter of fermented carrots on n'duja-spread crisp and thin rye bread. It's just phenomenal, even (though in any other context I might be embarrassed to use the term) iconic.' Lawson didn't stop there. She praised Café Paci's chef Pasi Petänen - who hails from Finland - for creating what she calls 'quintessential Sydney' food: globally inspired, unpretentious and full of warmth. 'There's nowhere like it,' she said. 'The food is impeccable, innovative without being tricksy, the room is relaxed, and everyone who works there contributes to the sense of welcome and excitement that energises me afresh on each visit. It's cool, for sure - but so very warm.' The fermented carrot dish, which has since sent social media into a quiet frenzy, plays with contrasts: the earthy sweetness of the carrot meets the spicy richness of n'duja, all anchored on a delicate rye crisp that gives it crunch and structure. It's bold, but beautifully balanced - and Lawson's endorsement has firmly cemented its place in Sydney's dining scene. Her post continued with a detailed run-through of the meal: oysters with kumquat mignonette ('utterly convincing'), a cod's roe and radish toast ('a citrus-fresh peppery tiling'), and tonnarelli with provolone, colatura and fried zucchini. The meal ended with her 'unmissable' dessert: carrot sorbet on liquorice cake, topped with aerated yoghurt - a dish she described as 'otherworldly'. 'I've hit the word limit,' she added, 'but actually no words could ever suffice.' Since the post went live, fans have been flocking to Café Paci's Instagram, with reservations filling quickly. While Lawson admitted she finds it hard to pick favourites, she made it clear that this unassuming entrée would always have a special place on her palate - and in her passport.
