A Lotto player in Co Laois has become Ireland's newest millionaire after winning the top prize in the Daily Millions draw.
The top prize of €1million was won on Friday's draw (July 18) at 9pm. This marks the fifth winner of the million euro prize so far this year, with the winner purchasing a Quick Pick ticket on the day of the draw.
The winning numbers at the 9pm Daily Millions draw on Friday, July 18 were 9, 20, 25, 33, 37, 39 and the bonus was 29. The National Lottery have said that they will reveal the winning store on Tuesday (July 22). 'What fantastic news to wake up to, with another substantial win for one Daily Million player – a huge congratulations to our winner in Laois,' National Lottery spokesperson Darragh O'Dwyer said.
'We're now urging all of our players to check their Daily Millions tickets very carefully – you could be holding a winning ticket!'

First on Tuesday (July 15), a player in An Ceathrú Rua won over €600,000 in the EuroMillions Plus draw, while just 24 hours later in the city, a Circle K in Newcastle won a Lotto Plus 2 — making the winner €250,000 richer.

The messages are usually in regards to appointment reminders, financial transactions or delivery update. Amid the growing cleverness of scam artists, SMS messages have been undermined, with ComReg noting 'significant harm' has been caused to organizations and consumers alike.
