Lindsay Lohan reunited with Parent Trap co-star Elaine Hendrix, sharing a sweet selfie from the set of Freakier Friday, now in theaters.
Hollywood experienced a healthy dose of nostalgia recently when Lindsay Lohan and Elaine Hendrix, The Parent Trap stars, reunited on the Freakier Friday set. The movie, which opened in theatres on August 8, brings back the two nearly three decades after their initial collaboration.
In a sweet Instagram post, Lohan, 39, shared a behind-the-scenes 'photo dump" from the production of the movie. One of the strips was a beaming selfie with Hendrix, 54. 'It's August 8th!!!! FREAKIER FRIDAY IS NOW IN THEATERS!!! Happy Freakier Friday! Photo Dump????????????‍????????????????????????????????," Lohan captioned her post.
Hendrix wore a sharp white button-down and a sleek updo topped with a black headband in the photo. Lohan dressed in laid-back beachy waves, teaming up a graphic tee with a blazer for a smooth, yet not sloppy, look.
Hendrix posted the selfie on her Instagram account later, which created waves of enthusiasm among fans. Fans were quick to remember their legendary roles in the 1998 remake of The Parent Trap. Lohan notoriously acted as twins Hallie Parker and Annie James, whereas Hendrix played Meredith Blake, the stunning and conniving fiancée of the twins' father, Nick Parker, played by Dennis Quaid.
Social Media Buzz
Social media was abuzz with response. 'MEREDITH BLAKE?! ????" wrote one, as another posted, 'Omgggg Meredith!! My little girls and I watched Freaky Friday last night twice to prepare… and we quoted the whole movie!!! We're ready! Cannot wait!!!"
A Magical Comedy Legacy
The next Freakier Friday is the sequel to the 2003 blockbuster Freaky Friday, which featured Lohan and Jamie Lee Curtis. In it, Curtis is a high-strung mom therapist and Lohan her angst-ridden teenage daughter. The two inexplicably switch bodies and are compelled to switch lives, learning a lot about each other in the process.
The follow-up extends the story further, introducing a new generation into the mayhem. Lohan's character, Anna, is now a mother herself, and her daughter is played by Julia Butters. Jamie Lee Curtis recycles her role, and there are regulars such as Stephen Tobolowsky, Rosalind Chao, Christina Vidal, Ryan Malgarini, Haley Hudson, Mark Harmon, Lucille Soong, and Chad Michael Murray.
With its blend of humor, family ties, and a pinch of magical mayhem, Freakier Friday is sure to bring both laughter and tears. For fans who have grown up with Lohan, the reunion of Lohan and Hendrix is the ideal nostalgic indulgence—one that honors not only a film, but the common memories it shared.
As the movie keeps going strong in theaters, fans can expect to find out how the next generation of characters handles body-swapping escapades. And if the chemistry between Lohan and Hendrix in that bright selfie is any indication, their on-screen connection remains just as solid.

Indian Man Explains Why He Loves Living In Canada: ‘Sab Rules Follow Karte Hai Yaha'

Last Updated: An Indian content creator living in the North American country shared the number of things he loves about Canada and why he doesn't wish to return anytime soon. An Indian man living in Canada shared a viral post, explaining why he cherishes his life in the North American country and doesn't want to return to India. Sahil Narang, a content creator, posted a video highlighting the benefits of living in Canada with a Hindi voice-over. Narang spoke about the number of facilities offered to the residents by the Canadian government, including minimum wage and job security. 'These are the main reasons I absolutely love living in Canada and why I'm still not ready to leave this country," said Narang as he introduced himself in the video captioned 'Why I love living in this Country". 'Hi, my name is Sahil, and I have been living in Canada for more than three years. In Canada, every province has its minimum wage. No matter what job you do, you are guaranteed to earn at least that amount. And trust me, if you're talented and have solid experience in a good field, you can end up earning a great deal here." The content creator also made it a point to share how even the privileged lot of Canadian society follows the rules and regulations put in place by the authorities. 'Here, everyone follows the rules, regardless of whether you're rich or poor. The best part is that there is no enforcement to make people follow them; they choose to follow the rules on their own," Narang said. Further on life in Canada, the content creator spoke about the beauty of the country and how the festivities organised by the government give residents plenty to look forward to regularly. 'Canada is one of the most beautiful countries in the world. The government does a lot for its residents, organising so many festivals that they truly make you feel at home," he said. 'Every day, every week, every month, there is always something happening, whether it is snowing heavily, scorching hot, or anything in between. This country never stops. If you're doing well and earning well, you will experience the best days of your life here." What the Internet Said About Indian's Love Affair With Canada The clip shared over Instagram garnered the attention of users from India, who promptly commented beneath it. While some expressed their envy of the man, others were not so amused at the idea of him choosing another country above India and its cultural heritage. 'Job dilwado phir jara mujhe bhi (please get me a job there as well)," wrote one user. Another commented: 'At least something positive on my feed for Canada. Nice." A nationalist said, 'Bhai apne India ko explore karo (brother, please explore India), Indian culture is the best."
