Madhya Pradesh shocker: London-based doctor, family attacked in Bhind; constable removed from post for instigating assault
Dr Vikramjit Singh, originally from Ashoknagar and now settled in the UK, had arrived at his in-laws' house in Fatehpur village near Gohad after two and a half years, along with his wife Rajveer Kaur, son Rohanpreet Singh, and daughter Ravneet Kaur.
On Thursday evening, while the family was buying fruits on Station Road in Gohad, they got into an altercation with constable Kuldeep Kushwaha, who was in plain clothes.
According to the family, the constable used abusive language, filmed their car, and grew angry when asked to reveal his identity.
'When I refused to let him make a video of my car and family, he called others and asked them to come with weapons,' Singh told police officers.
The family left in their car but was allegedly intercepted near a dhaba between Station Road and Fatehpur village.
A group of men armed with sticks attacked the vehicle, shattering its windows.

Rohanpreet suffered facial injuries, while Ravneet's hand was hurt in the assault.

Singh later complained to the Gohad police, but said he was pressured to hush up the case. At the station, the SHO allegedly remarked that he could have run over the constable. Singh countered that his car was fitted with cameras and the footage was recorded.
The family has also complained to the Indian Embassy in London.
Following protests by the Sikh community, who accused Kushwaha of plotting the attack, Bhind SP Asit Yadav removed the constable from duty and line-attached him. 'Attackers are being identified and action will be taken,' officials said.
Local MLA Keshav Desai also reached the spot and extended support to the Sikh community, pointing out that there had been earlier complaints against the constable.
Dozens of community members gathered at the police station demanding registration of an FIR against the constable.

Nashik: Residents of a Jalgaon village, within Pahur police station's jurisdiction, took to the streets on Aug 15 after a statue of a prominent Indian politician was found desecrated in the market area at 7.30 am on Friday. 1 arrested on charge of 8-year-old tribal girl's rape in Dhule
Nashik: The police have arrested a 28-year-old man for allegedly raping an eight-year-old girl on Friday in a village in Shirpur, Dhule district. Dhule's deputy SP Sunil Gosavi said, "The accused man was produced in a court in Dhule on Saturday. The court remanded him in five-day police custody." The incident occurred at around noon on Friday. The accused man and the victim lived in the same neighbourhood. At 11am, the accused allegedly visited the girl's house and lured her with a bike ride around the village. He took her to a deserted spot where he raped her. About an hour later, he dropped her back near the locality and fled. The girl returned home crying and informed her parents about the incident. As the news spread, residents ransacked an eatery belonging to the accused man's uncle and contacted the police. The police reached the incident spot and began searching for the accused. Gosavi said the accused man escaped into the adjoining forest area but was apprehended within a couple of hours. A case against the accused under relevant sections of the BNS and Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act (POCSO) was registered late on Friday night.
