Mademoiselle Watson has returned for her long-awaited encore.
Actress Emma Watson arrived in the South of France on May 20 ahead of her appearance at the 78th Cannes International Film Festival, which kicked off on May 13. This marks Watson's first appearance at the esteemed festival in 12 years (she made her Cannes debut in 2013 for the premiere of Sofia Coppola's "The Bling Ring.")
While fans will have to wait and see what the "Harry Potter" alum dons on the red carpet, Watson pulled off a stylish arrival. As the People's Choice-winning actress made her way through Nice Airport, Watson exuded Boho chic in a long floral-printed skirt, which she paired with a sleek black shirt-jacket and matching sunglasses.
Watson, 35, followed up the look on May 21 with a summery ensemble that did not disappoint.
While arriving at Cannes' Palace of Festivals and Conferences center, per People magazine, the British actress stunned in a white and pink plaid dress. She topped the elegant frock with a gold-chain purse and dark sunglasses.

Watson did not scrimp in the glamour department for her 2013 Cannes debut either. The actress delivered a series of head-turning looks, including a floor-length black-and-white dress she wore alongside Coppola and "Bling Ring" co-stars Taissa Farmiga and Katie Chang.
"The Bling Ring," a crime comedy inspired by the real-life gang that burglarized the homes of several celebrities in the late 2000s, starred Watson as Nicolette "Nicki" Moore, who was based on former television personality Alexis Neiers.

Despite her upcoming appearance at the 2025 Cannes Film Festival, Watson has kept a low profile on the silver screen. Her last major film appearance was the 2019 coming-of-age drama "Little Women," an adaptation of the classic novel by Louisa May Alcott.
The Greta Gerwig-directed film, which also starred Saoirse Ronan and Florence Pugh, earned a nomination for best picture at the 92nd Academy Awards.

Salt Bae's Reign of Golden Steaks and Arm-Sprinkled Salt Ends in Beverly Hills

Nusret Gökçe, better known as Salt Bae, has sprinkled his last steaks in Los Angeles. The Beverly Hills outpost of Gökçe's global steakhouse chain, Nusr-Et, suddenly closed on June 4, four years after opening in 2021. In early 2025, Nusr-Et shuttered its Las Vegas location, but plans to reopen elsewhere in the city. Gökçe, a Turkish butcher and chef, first infiltrated the public consciousness when a video of him slicing into a steak and then sprinkling salt down his flexed forearm onto the meat waiting below went viral in 2017. His tight white T-shirt and tiny sunglasses instantly became recognizable — he even recreated the infamous post, sunglasses and all, at the Cannes Film Festival in 2019. Gökçe opened the first location of Nusr-Et in 2010, when only his immediate audience could enjoy his salt-slinging, forearm-seasoning tactics. However, in the years following his sudden rise to fame, Nusr-Et quickly expanded globally and announced a future location for Los Angeles. After years of development and moving on from its planned location in the Arts District, Nusr-Et opened in Beverly Hills in 2021. Gökçe was on-site for the opening weekend to sprinkle meat on request (hopefully, he had a strict forearm sanitation protocol). In Beverly Hills, Nusr-Et served a menu of steaks from the char-grill, including the mustard-marinated Amor (#Saltbae's Private Reserve Cut), a thick-cut wagyu Woww steak, and the #Saltbae tomahawk. The restaurant also served a Golden Experience menu, with enough gold-gilded meat to kick off another Gold Rush. A 24-carat gold-coated tomahawk went for $950, a golden Amor for $1,500, and a four-pound wagyu New York strip steak for $2,000. Meat sushi with Parmigiano (separate from the beef carpaccio on the menu) was also served atop mounds of sushi rice. But Salt Bae's rise and fall from virality wasn't without its issues. In 2019, Mr. Bae was accused of tip-skimming at his Manhattan restaurant. Two years later, in 2021, the restaurant group was sued for allegedly misclassifying employees to avoid paying overtime wages; the suit was later dismissed. And in 2023, Gökçe was banned from the 2023 U.S. Open Cup after he kissed the World Cup trophy. In 2023, Nusr-Et had seven locations in the U.S.; as of June 2025, there are only two remaining, in Miami and New York City. As Salt Bae and his salty forearms bid farewell to Los Angeles, Nusr-Et eyes further international expansion, with new locations planned for Mexico City, Rome, Ibiza, and more. Halle Berry Shuts Down Mother's Day Video Criticism

Halle Berry, aka Mother, is shutting down the prudes and the killjoys. The Academy Award-winning actor isn't just Mother to insufferable fans of B.A.P.S., Storm from X-Men, and distressed wigs like me — she's an actual mother to two children: Nahla, 17, and Maceo-Robert, 11. So, it makes perfect sense that Halle celebrated Mother's Day last month, but when she posted an intimate video in bed with her boyfriend, Van Hunt, in honor of the holiday, some people were in their feelings about it. "Women, other women, got in their feelings," Halle said while co-hosting Today with Jenna & Friends. Halle said people were asking," 'Was it right for her to be in her bed talking about spinning with her man?' Yes. And they were saying, 'Should she be talking about that on Mother's Day? Shouldn't she be with her kids somewhere?'" When an Instagram user said, "That's not what Mothers Day is all about 🤷🏻‍♀️ more like Valentine's Day or your birthday," Halle defended her choice to post the video. "it's allowed to be interpreted how ever we want. We are all different and that's ok. I hope you had a wonderful Mother's Day !❤️" Halle wrote in response. Halle reiterated her position on Today. "First of all, it's not Kid's Day. It's called Mother's Day." "Kid's Day is every day of the year. That's my day. And if I wanna be in bed and spin with my man, then that's what I'm gonna do." If you're asking yourself what "spin" means, Halle implied that "spin" refers to sex, a reference to the Let's Spin Intimacy Gel from her company Respin, which was shown in the original video. Her product is part of advocacy for perimenopause after she was misdiagnosed. "It's the most natural thing that we do as women, as men, and for people to be offended by that, saying Instagram is a family channel, yeah, and we should be allowed to talk about this in our families," Halle continued. 'We have sex. It's the most natural thing we do. Men do it. Women do it.' Halle further explained that people "saw nothing" in the video anyway because they were under bedsheets. "It should be okay to celebrate that and not be criticized for talking about love. In a time like this, in a world like this today, I'm sorry, we should talk more about loving each other and not fighting." "So whoever didn't like it, so what," Halle finished. Halle received praise for her bold stance on sexuality and how she chose to celebrate motherhood. One user wrote, "I love an unapologetic queen! Go Halle!" "Agreed! The US over sexualizes everything. They are happy in love, and have a beautiful family. That should be celebrated and children honestly need to see what a happy relationship looks like because a lot of people never got that growing up and it shows," another user wrote. This person said, "Let's just call it what it is. Hating. It's very common, just like the people doing it. Live your life unapologetically ladies. The rest of the world is!" "This isn't Lucy and Desi folks it's 2025! The clutching of the pearls, the outrage 🤦🏾‍♀️. Same folks that don't want their kids exposed to certain books, s*x education, but really get to clutching when 🤰🤰🤰🤰🍼🍼👶👶🏾," someone else added. Finally, someone said, "Girl you spoke truth to power!!! It's natural it's beautiful and it's how we became mothers!!! I went and took a spin with my husband after seeing this clip. lol" What do you think about Halle Berry's choice to show the racy video on Mother's Day? Let's discuss in the comments.
