James Blunt insists being a "one-hit wonder" is "healthy" for his ego.
The 'You're Beautiful' hitmaker became an overnight star following the release of the 2005 single from his debut album 'Back To Bedlam', and the 51-year-old pop veteran admits he is "happy" to be called a "one-hit wonder" as it means he doesn't get too big for his boots.
He told US publication PEOPLE: "In the States, I am [a one-hit wonder]. You have to understand - I am so happy with that because, as I put on my social media profiles, one hit is all you need.
"I've been called a one-hit wonder by people who are none-hit wonders. And so I'm thrilled with that."
Blunt continued: "The moment I think I might be a big shot in any way, you, as an American, can tell me, 'No. You're just a little one-hit wonder, James. Get back in your box.' And that's healthy."
The 'Goodbye My Lover' singer also recalled how he was rejected by all the UK record labels because of his posh speaking voice and classism in his homeland.

On being signed to Linda Perry's Custard Records, he said: "I hadn't really understood how this was the very last chance I was probably ever going to have.
"I'd been rejected by every UK label based on my speaking voice and the kind of class issues that we have here, and the basis that they would think that just no one would relate to me. They might've been right to a degree. It's taken a long time after 'You're Beautiful' and the backlash for the public to know that, 'Okay. I might speak with a stupid voice, but I am a normal, grounded human being.' So maybe the UK labels were right. [But] for some reason Linda was there. She came in with a hard sell, and we went out that night and got drunk."
Although the song was a huge hit, he did face - and continues to face - his fair share of criticism and is known to hilariously retaliate on social media.

He said: "I think I've always been silly.
"I think I probably did set out in interviews when we were talking about music because it was the one thing I was serious about.
"I probably then spoke quite earnestly in my interviews about the music, and now I've learned that that's probably not the best thing to do. So now, I still take my music seriously. I don't speak earnestly about it."

Hulk Hogan's distressing 911 call revealed as medics rush to WWE icon's home
The disturbing 911 call to Hulk Hogan's home as been revealed following his death aged 71. WWE icon Hulk died at his home in Clearwater, Florida following reports of a cardiac arrest. Medics rushed to his house as they tried to save the wrestling star in the early hours of Thursday morning. Operators of the 911 call could be heard dispatching paramedics to the scene as they noted the matter was for a cardiac arrest. Officials responded to the call at 9:51am, as Hulk received treatment from Clearwater Fire & Rescue before being taken to a nearby hospital. He died at the hospital, according to reports. A "slew of police cars and EMTs were parked outside Hogan's home," before he was taken out on a stretcher, according to TMZ. Hulk's death was confirmed by World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE), in a statement on X which read: 'WWE is saddened to learn WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan has passed away. 'One of pop culture's most recognisable figures, Hogan helped WWE achieve global recognition in the 1980s. WWE extends its condolences to Hogan's family, friends, and fans.' In his final Instagram video, Hulk made a promotional clip for Real American Beer where he sipped on the alcoholic beverage and encouraged his fans to try the patriotic beer. "Real American beer, made in America, by real Americans," he said before taking a sip. "Get some brother. That's America brother," he added. The wrestling world have begun reacting to the shock news of Hulk's death, as he's been hailed as "one of pop culture's most recognisable figures". Ric Flair, who is a champion in wrestling like Hulk, paid tribute as he wrote online: ""I Am Absolutely Shocked To Hear About The Passing Of My Close Friend @HulkHogan! "Hulk Has Been By My Side Since We Started In The Wrestling Business. An Incredible Athlete, Talent, Friend, And Father! Our Friendship Has Meant The World To Me. He Was Always There For Me Even When I Didn't Ask For Him To Be. "He Was One Of The First To Visit Me When I Was In The Hospital With A 2% Chance Of Living, And He Prayed By My Bedside. Hulk Also Lent Me Money When Reid Was Sick. Hulkster, No One Will Ever Compare To You! Rest In Peace My Friend!" Just weeks before Hulk's death, a representative for the WWE icon denied speculation he was gravely ill. In May, it was announced he'd undergone a small "fusion procedure" on his neck. But in June, a YouTuber claimed that things were "not looking good" for him. Denying the speculation, a representative said that Hulk's surgery had been "successful" and there were "no reasons to panic." They added: "He just needs from time to time a medical check up."

Hulk Hogan's intense feud with ex-wife and daughter at the time of his death
Hulk Hogan seemed to take a jab at the painful family feud between his ex-wife Linda and daughter Brooke shortly before passing away at 71 Wrestling legend Hulk Hogan appeared to have taken a swipe at his family's ongoing feud shortly before his death. The WWE star passed away at the age of 71, with reports indicating cardiac arrest as the cause. In the period leading up to his passing, Hulk was estranged from his family, with daughter Brooke Hogan reportedly cutting ties with both her parents. The emotional fallout was recently brought to light by his ex-wife Linda in an emotional video. In March, Linda posted a tearful video on her social media, where she spoke about the ongoing family rift. She said: "I'm okay with most things, but today, something hit. It's been 15 - or longer - years since I left Hulk Hogan and my family is in the worst mess. "Brooke doesn't talk to us. She's had twins. She got married, she didn't tell us... She had a huge fight with Terry. I don't know how that reflected onto me, but she cut me out too." Despite the tension, Linda claimed that Hulk remained unfazed, stating: "I have to be honest about what I went through in my marriage with Terry as Hulk Hogan and what it entailed, and what it has caused over the years.." "He marches on, like, 'Oh, I'm promoting my own beer, real American beer. Yeah, look at me.' He's such a hero, right? Not. I've given him more opportunities to come back and makeup the family. It's been 20 years and I'm still this sad. Somebody please explain that." Responding to her mother's emotional video, Brooke released a sharp statement, asserting that she has "completely separate reasons" for cutting off contact with both of her parents, the Mirror reports. "There was a recent video posted by my Mother that was concerning enough for people to send to me, that has made me feel the need to address the tip of a very large iceberg that is my immediate family," Brooke said at the time. "What little I am addressing does not even scratch the surface of what l've dealt with my entire life. I will start by saying this video is mild compared to behaviour I have witnessed for the greater portion of my life. This also comes in addition to false claims that she's previously posted, then deleted," she continued. "That being said, she has been through A LOT of trauma and pain, my heart breaks for her. You can't control how others treat you, but you can control how you treat others and cope with things." She continued: "I have completely separate reasons for going no contact with each of my parents. This decision was made based purely on how they have each dealt with me directly my entire life." Although Hulk did not directly address the statements from Linda or Brooke, he posted a video of himself and his new wife, Sky, eating popcorn and staring wide-eyed at the camera. Along with the caption: "Getting ready for the new HH TV show coming soon!" However, some followers criticised the post amid the ongoing drama, calling it "poor taste," while another commented: "This is why no one likes Hogan. A real man would try and heal, not mock his family."
